Revealing a Beautiful Agate | Grinding Away the Husk & Polishing a Gem

  • Опубліковано 27 лют 2022
  • In this BONUS video we show the FULL process of grinding away the husk until it is ready to move forward to being polished to perfection! This is a long process and if you watch from start to finish, you can see how each swipe on the flat lap grinds away more and more husk and is revealing more beautiful agate characteristics. This style video is very different than most of our lapidary videos but I thought it was a perfect opportunity to show how 8 minutes of grinding can replace millions of years of what nature could have done to it. We really should appreciate the tools we are able to use this day in age. I hope you all watch this video start to finish to appreciate that, thanks for watching!

Gorgeous! Sometimes we focus on cutting and seeing what’s in the center of the rock when sometimes we just need to peel a little bit of skin away. Well done my friend!

Sorry, just couldn't help myself! Hope you and your family are doing well sir, just thought I'd stop by and say hello~ I personally find it quite satisfying exposing the "heart" of the stone and when you laughed after the first bit of exposure, I related to that feeling! Love the little fortification bands, really cool IMO. Thanks again for sharing your experiences, have a super week.

I know if I could tell the right one, then I know I could; like that clear, black, and yellow one on Agatology.com, but I'm still trying to figure out how that person was able to judge that.
