Here’s the best comment you can get. Cutting my teeth on this lake back in the late 90s. I would say don’t bother with your carp rods and go with a float. Fished at about 12” with a pellet 8mm. Spray 6 pellets and draw your float onto the spray. Finally someone clocked me of what I was doing and every time i arrived he would say here he comes watch out everyone the carp slayer is here. I would out fish everyone on the lake in the matter of a few hrs. Still today if I fancy a trip down there with the same method I smash it. Remember carp spend most of their time in the upper layers.
