The entire 50 piece orchestra including the band follow the conductor. That way they're all on the exact same page. Also the arrangements of the songs are different than how they usually play them live. Also many songs the band has never done live. So the practiced for 10 days or so with him.
@@modechick Yeah for 1 he dictates the tempo for the orchestra and the band has to follow that in order for them to be playing the same thing at the same time as the orchestra.
The conductor is in control of lead ins, tempo, intensity, loudness and quietness. Yes! He or she can change certain things during the performance. If you watch the baton. They keep time with up then down then side to side. Speed it up or slow it down.
