Hey guys, just wanted to pin a comment here for anyone who has had a bad experience or doesn't agree with my opinion of Vinted. Please do feel free to share your experiences but this is just my own view of the platform as a customer, this is not an ad. Please keep the comments kind. I have been using it for a few months and I have never ever had a bad experience whether buying or selling and I absolutely love the platform for giving pre-loved clothes a new home and helping less stuff go to landfill. I want to bring to your attention the situation when sellers are dishonest and describe items as new but then you receive old damaged item Vinted takes your buyers protection from you but in fact doesn't protect you The options you have are to keep the item which isn't what you thought you were buying or you can return the item but return postage pays buyer which is not fair It looks like Vinted wants to discourage people from returning items because they do not make money on those transactions It's different if you change your mind and does not want to keep the item but if you paid for something which is not as described returns shouldn't be on buyers Like eBay If you describe item dishonestly they put return responsibility on seller not buyers which is fair. I'm very disappointed with that So dishonest seller looses nothing and receive goods back but buyer have to loose money for return postage as a result of somebody's lyes
Do people on Vinted sell things higher ? Or is it sold cheaper for a fast sale ?

Hi Lara I decided to try to sell some things on Vinted today and I found I got so far and doing so well (seeing as I'm in my 60s )🤣 I thought I must be doing something wrong as it seemed so easy. Thought I'd check how to do it and came across your site . You really have put my mind at rest and feel confident now to carry on . honestly the BEST video on vinted i have seen. after trailing youtube for what seemed like forever, i am so so glad i came across your video! i've been putting off selling for ages (due to apprehension around posting) but you explained everything so nicely. thank you!
Just managed to buy a load of Vinted items most were brand new still with tags. Should have been over £80 and paid under £20! Such a bargain and focusing on buying timeless pieces too!!

@@kitchenwitheshaal4953 the buyer pays for the label. It will show up in the app and you can print it off from your phone. That was my experience of it anyway.

I am loving vinted! I've made over £100 since the start of the year just on stuff I would have got rid of anyway! Definitely sold them a bit cheaper than I might have elsewhere but I think the no sellers fee and how easy delivery is makes it worth it!

I downloaded Vinted app to my phone a year ago, but still felt very sceptical as I didn't succeed with the clothing sale in the past. Last weekend my friend inspired me to have a go. Yesterday, I sent a couple of items, mainly some dresses. A lot of favourites so far, but I don't expect any miracles straight away. Your video was very helpful and inspiring. I'm really grateful for all the tips.

What happens if the buyer doesn’t mark item as delivered but has your clothes and you don’t receive the payment?
Also - how long roughly does it take to be contacted by buyers about your item? I know it’s a case by case basis but do you have a rough figure or what your experience is? Thanks! ❤

Hi luv x so when sending the items you will pay for the shipping cost. However you will get the cost back once the buyer confirms they have received the items and the money then gets released to your Vinted account.

@@chloex1741 you can promt then by sending then a kind but firm message saying "you can see they have now received their items, can they kindly confirm this" if they don't respond then Vintied will always advise the date they will automatically complete the sale, you will have to wait until Vinted automatically completes the sale. Hope that helps xx

Hiya, just wanted to ask do you have to have a printer at home to print shipping labels?
Also can you only specify one shipping method? Like only royal mail or only hermes. Thank you in advance as I'm old school and only use ebay so looking for a different platform to use x

Whats to stop a buyer saying that they never received the package when they actually did? they then get to keep their money and the item?!
You get proof of delivery from the courier and if they say they didn't receive it then you raise a claim with the courier like any normal delivery.

You can use the custom packaging option when posting your item and put the parcel price down, once you sell the item it will give you the buyers address so you can write it down and post. It also helps to send a pic of receipt so the buyers knows it has been posted for peace of mind.
Forgot to add that you will have to pay for the P&P yourself and when the money is released you will be reimbursed. Hope that helps.

what do you mean when you said u take it to the royal mail and "buy the postage" or on the shipping instructions where it says "purchase a label online"? does that mean you pay for it with your own money?

What happens if the buyer receives the the package but don’t click on ok? What about refunds and returns? And How do you include the postage fees?

It's an automated service. Once the buyer receives the item, Vinted will let you know your order is complete and you will see your funds almost immediately in your balance. Postage is paid for by the buyer but you select the service for example Hermes then also parcel size for example small and it sets a postage fee for the buyer to pay.

I have downloaded the Vinted app, but have yet to use it. Sorry for asking a question that you spoke about, but when I have looked on payment it says credit card, is that where they hold your money until the sale is complete and then you pay via paypal or debit card, hope this makes sense. Great video xx

It would be very helpful to your buyers as well as covering yourself too if you stipulate in your bio that all orders are posted on Saturdays only. Also by reminding any buyers that you will post their orders on Saturday. Having great communication with your buyers will allow you to become a 5 star rated seller x
