Yes, that band that holds the top of the case vertical stretches a little, and the staples come a little loose, and then the super anoying thing wanting to fall back happens. It just needs to be adjusted very slightly, and it won't do that anymore. Sometimes a little glue, or maybe another staple. I'm talking, but mine does that too ... heh heh ... and I've even fixed it before.
I'd love to find the rest of the footage of him trying different fine violins! If anyone sees this and could point me in the direction of that I would greatly appreciate it!!
Kavakos can play a Yamaha chinese version violin and still would sound 10000 times better than many stars today....many. Far too many.... Talking about violins is only making himself interesting... He can play ANY violin as well
I heard him performing on his Stradivarius and also on "that Guadagnini" and he sounded sublime on both, I honestly couldn't tell any difference in a concert hall.

I have still yet to see a video of Kavakos that is not in potato quality.
Lmao
You seem like a jealous and mean person. You are just an empty person with no good criteria.
i could watch this stuff all day
It looks so satisfying to try many different instruments in a shop.

Some Strads are worth more than others in sound and make. Take a Golden Age one vs an early Strad for example.

I put weights in my case to keep it from tilting

Easily the best violin player who ever lived.
You know when shits big business when the headstocks are in a safe lmao
So any news about this violin now? This video is 9years ago

I agree. That is totally SICK.
4:40 it sounds like he says "The Australian back" but I'm guessing he means "Austrian".

Why are they disassembled
I bet "moment of recall" from ffbe would sound mighty fine on that violin
Surprised he plays a Strad - his playing style suggests more of a Guarneri sort of guy......

Actually I do not agree. He obviously microadjusts his bow speed more often than his pressure.
He has V.A.S. Hopefully he doesn’t have the millions or would’ve spent them all before the evening.
