Good evening, I'm from Brazil, I made some Christmas LEDs, but your work is fantastic, I would like to set up a project like yours, these effects are incredible, could you make your project available, which LED string is the controller, which programs and codes you used, Thank you

what is the length of your pipe for one arch?

Arches are my first led project. How are you controlling the lights to get the chasing or leaping? Would you into specifics on the controller and power supplies used?

Ho did you make the bend in the arch? I bought some from McMaster Carr and the stress on the bend was too much and after a while, they all broke in the middle of the bend.

Surprised you needed an L bracket even after clamping the hdpe to the rebar cap. Was that L bracket just screwed into the hdpe? Would this setup work for 16 ft arches or would I need some type of center supports? Thanks for the video!

Great tutorial! Were these LED Strips easily added to typical light controllers (Falcon, HinxPix, etc) or did you need to use a separate controller?

They work with any of the main controllers you mentioned. But with the invention of seed/pebble pixels I would use those instead

what size clear shrink tube did you use? I don't see it in list of materials

    • @BostickFamilyLightShow

I believe it’s 3/8. If u get 1/2 you can add more clear hot glue if it’s still to big

What did you use for a base with your 1 inch pex. The rebar caps are way to big for 1 inch tube.??

Do you have to inject power at the both ends of the arch? Using 5 volt strips I was wondering about getting dim after 150 leds

I did, general rule of thumb is every 100 pixels, but I didn’t want to add it in the middle of the strip

Is there a way to use bullets to get the same effect instead of strip?

You could possibly use square pixels instead, but may have to put tension on the string to prevent it from flipping over

Hey Justin, we used amzn.to/3gcHa6Z for the diffuser. We bought them for our original outlines before we switched from strips over to pixels

I bought it from the Michigan mini. I can try to find out where they sourced it

We bought the same tubing. I didn't go to the mini but I bought it from the same person. He had a bulk purchase and got it from Hudson Extrusions in Pennsylvania. They have a large minimum order requirement so it was too expensive for most of us. We pooled our orders together and met the minimum order which was nice. There was another person who picked up and delivered the order. We split the cost on one roll and the delivery person got a roll for (free) :) (gas and time)

What are the benefits of using HDPE instead of PEX?

    • @BostickFamilyLightShow
      @BostickFamilyLightShow  3 роки тому

I could not find 2" PEX locally. They both seem similar, but i wanted a thicker arch
