In case anyone else following this guide at this time or in the future notices. The staff near the 2nd to last shaman in Chapter 5 was a bug and not meant to be there. There's another one after all the jumps down from the tower near the last Shaman, there's also a wall mural you can activate (neither of these are shown in this guide.) Good Luck. :)
1.02 Patch Notes: Chapter 5 -
Bug - There were two staves for one Shaman near the end of the chapter. One staff was under the plague (correct) and one was near the shaman (unintentionally left in-game).

Charbonnator just stand on the pressure plate as the spirit fox, then u get it. (If you have walked on water and stepped on those falling bricks as the spirit fox)
Somehow, my game looks different than yours? I can't get to the 3rd spirit in chapter 5 because my tower is just plain empty with no staircase. The staff is making sounds though but there literatly is nothing. Do you know how to fix this?
To find the missing shaman staff - at 1:54:25, don't go left but go right, take the path down around the tower and pick it up

Not all heroes wear capes
Incase anyone is struggling to find the final staff for chapter 5 you go to the tower after the first set of jumps, and there should be a path down towards a light wall (also not in the video) if you walk towards that there's a bit just down from that which has the staff.

nearly 3 years later (when i can finally play it!) and this guy still helped a lot with the updated "enhanced" edition on PS5! Thank you so much! I was getting so lost with all the shamans and their staves!

this game is a waste of time
It can be annoying but so are many games out there. I still love it and enjoyed playing it. I've restarted it a few times just to replay it again before i decided to platinum it.

Anyone trying to get the 'Kindred Spirits' trophy. At 2:25:05 When he is about to jump off the water fall, for me, a bridge appeared (as it's part of the story) so you can't jump off. To get around this, go back, get out of the castle, and go to the front of the castle where the 2 large wolf statues are. There should be a large water fall there. This is the bottom of water fall he is at, follow where he goes and you should be able to find and greet the last Shaman spirit.

Indeed. I don't know how he got the 2 doors to open without infusing one of the nearby stones to revive other spirit fox a little earlier. Must have been playing an older version of the game. @IBadDriverI: Perhaps edit the video description to mention this as well as the staff issue at the end of Chapter 5? I had to read the user comments here to figure it out. Better, still, if you can overlay text on the video mentioning these, all the better. Anyway, thanks for the video.

Thank you very much for this guide, it was very helpful! I also encountered a problem in Chapter 7 at 2:25:05 - in the updated version, you cannot go outside unless you summon the second fox thus summoning a spirit bridge. So for the very last spirit, you have to go back to the castle's entrance with the two fox statues and follow your guide there.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the update. That saved me a lot of trouble.
If you platinum this game on PS5, note : do NOT drop scepter in 1:50:50, take it with you and you must place near shaman, and then for the last shaman (in 1:54:40), you must turn right in 1:54:27 and go down for it (in the stone circle).

If you want to platinum the ps5 version be cautious. There are a few environnement changes, there is one staff and a wallpiece thats located on another spot near the very end of chapter 5. Rest is pretty much the same.
1:00:15 was blocked by branches, I had to use spirit fox to get through. It's weird that you were able to just walk in like that and light up the carving.

I've never turned round on a game quite so much. Started as a nice, chill, good looking little adventure and by the end I was just sick of it.

Has anyone else had an issue when setting down a staff to collect the blue dust that the staff sinks into the ground and you can't interact with it anymore? It was super frustrating when I found the guy and didn't have the staff

In the area of Chapter 5 the boost gates don't stay open...Is it a bug?

(Edit) Nevermind they're timed 😅 though there was a bug woth the first gate. The wisp would fly through it and the gates would turn off...weird

i love this game, great music, great graphics,story and i get to play as fox!
but some parts were very hard and made me wish i could search up a tutorial mid game. but turns out, i couldnt, because you must exit the game to open another tab, and if you want to quit your progress wont save unless you trigger the autosave.
in conclusion, very good game but desperately needs a manual save!

Nice guide, thank you. But i have a little problem. At the end of chapter 7 i just miss the last ghost, like in your playthrough but i can't get the door open without the glowing bridge. How does this work?
@ 2:20:36 try to jump at the ledge on the left there is one more but I got it when I run up the stairs maybe you missed this one

In Chapter 7 when you find spirits, do you have to do anything special? In your video I see a save message but I don't get that. I am in the US.
The game autosaves after you get a spirit that's all

How do the spinning statues actually work in this game? Spinning some for hours and they not opening anything! And in the video you did it too fast and I can't see
you have to match the right symbols...just pause the video and look at the symbol

Omg. 31:50 I was playing this and the water level rose but I guess the fox swam a little and got stuck under that tunnel part. Was standing on the water and couldn't get out from under it...had to restart the puzzle 😂

I've followed this guide step by step to get the Kindred Spirits trophy I've not missed any yet the trophy isn't coming through for me. So annoying.

I am going to finish this in one session. First time I had a break at the start of Chapter 3 or 4. When I returned the game put me back before that and I hate when games do that.
can’t find the final staff for the final shaman in chapter 5. i think i might have to replay the whole chapter to find it. because i have gone back but still can’t find it. i love this game but im so tired and irritated from going back and forth for hours. is there any help someone could lend me please ? :’)

I took that one under the Plaque at the start put it where they put it and was where the second should be. but this was not there. not even after restarting the game. I could end up giving the staff to the shaman to go to chapter 6 but would then miss a shaman: /

Followed this guide and chapter 7 I found all of them but trophy never popped
the game behaving kind of glitchy on ps5 almost everytime not showing the o or triangle and some other weird stuff. Sometimes the shaman staff is missing on the same place as shown here, looking for it on another place next time, pretty annoying, because it will need a new playthrough.
update: Actually thanks i have the platinum now took me still a couple of hours but ok.

Only thing a bit weird in this guide is at the end of chapter seven where you reach the last three spirits. In your video you just reach them then the door opens and you are running around in the spirit realm. When I played it on the PS5 version, I went over to the standing stone on the right and lit that up, then the fox spirit was resurrected and then the door opened and that light chute was available.
Game got a lot of updates since the guide

when I get to spirit 2&3 there's only one spirit there lol, everytime I restart the chapter, always one spirit and not two.
Im not sure but maybe you need to find all spirits in all chapters first

Molt3n Inkis3 The fox skins are unlocked by awakening the shaman spirits. The more you awaken the more you unlock.
The uprooting darkness trophy didn't pop for me, for the 8 tethers destroyed. Are those missable? Thanks for the guide in advance!
