I do not think he's as evil as he appears to be so far. The creators have mentioned in earlier interviews that a side of him is kind and generous, but he also have a side that's arrogant. They say he's complicated. And so far in the show we have only seen his arrogant side and Zubeia's point of view. Zubeia do not seem to know why Aaravos have done certain things. In season 1 at the very beginning we viewers are told that the egg of the dragon prince have been destroyed, but that turned out to not be true at all. The same thing can be with what Zubeia have told us too. The events can have happened, but where is the evidences that Aaravos was behind them? We are just told that a human discovered that it was he who was behind it all, but we did not get to know how they figured it out. What we are told may not be as true as it first appears to be, as I already have mentioned that have been the case already once in season 1. Yes, Aaravos do know what happened to Aditi so it's clear he had something to do with it, but we do not know what exactly he did nor his reasons. As a being with such long life span and have mastered all the primal sources it's easy to become arrogant due to being so much more powerful than others. And the fact the others of his kinda went away or somehow disappeared left him alone, which can have feeded this arrogance even more. I personally think he originally had good intentions, trying to help the humans out of their suffering. But being loved and respected by all along with being so powerful and longest living being made his arrogance try to act like a god, trying to solve the worlds issues. I believe he taught/helped the humans to discover dark magic as a temporarily solution until he found a way for them to use primal magic on their own. We already know Callum isn't the first human to use primal magic, but the others have been mostly forgotten in history. But the greed in some humans made things go too far with the unicorns and started panic and anger among dragons and elves. This leaded to Sol Regem confronting the humans and demanding/threatening them to give up dark magic. What happened to Luna after this is unknown, we know she mysteriously died, but not how. But notice how the moon turnes red in that scene. The bloodmoon huntress may have a hand in play when it comes to her death. Aaravos probably saw the fighting between the arch dragons as a form for revange for how they had been a part of the humans "unrightful" banishment. So when Aditi tried to step in Aaravos stopped her from doing so. I think his anger for humans getting banished is the reason he may have done those things as an attempt of removing those who had a part of this decision. We know there was a person that was very important for Aaravos and the birthday note for him in 2019, do indicate that this persom was a human, which gives him a higher reason to care for humanity. We also know that the relationship with this person is a big source of his motivation. So his intentions may have been good, but mostly in favor for the humanity at least from what it seems so far. I don’t think he intended to be evil nor do bad things to begin with, but ended up doing it either way out from arrogance and anger. Which later resulted in him getting imprisoned. His imprisonment may be the main reason he seems to be very evil in season 3 and 4. Being imprisoned for 300 years without any contact of the world outside do have it's affect mentally and given plenty of time to make his anger grow and evolve to something more damgerous than what seemed to dangerous before. I do not think he try to destroy Xadia nor trying to create complete chaos. I think he only search revange and probably death of those responsible for humans banishment along with those who was responsible for his imprisonment, those who try to stop him from returning to the world and also revange towards the others of his kind due to them being arrogant and selfish not caring for mortal lifes the way he did. Dragon Prince Theory Aaravos likely helped humanity out of the goodness of his heart. However, years of hardship, working to defend humanity, and maintaining his influence among the Startouch Elves hardened Aaravos because of his dislike towards the dogmatism of the Elves. He sees humanity as a space away from the Elves' dogmatism and saw potential in humanity. Aaravos' help made humanity see Aaravos as a god as well as the only Elf who truly cared about them. He studied in the Human Kingdoms and discovered Dark Magic alongside his apprentice Ziard who would later teach many mages Dark Magic. After Ziard's death, Aaravos hated the Dragons and Elves. This intensifies with the Judgement of the Half-Moon Event. Aaravos was powerless but took his revenge by being somewhat involved in Luna Tenebris' assassination at the hands of the Bloodmoon Elves. He also was involved in the disappearance of Sunfire Queen Aditi which sparked a civil war between Dragon Loyalist Elves and Anti-Dragon Elves. The Elvish Civil War created a division as the Earthblood Elves and Tidebound Elves grew a dislike towards the dragons sparking the reason why Earthblood Elves hunt and enslave dragons. Both Earthblood Elves and Tidebound Elves refuse to be involved in the Elves and Dragons' persecution of humanity. Aaravos wants to completely weaken Xadia. He recruits a human friend who later becomes the Orphan Queen. Aaravos weakens Xadia while he manipulates the King of Katolis along with the other human kingdoms to ambush the Elves and retake Xadia. However, the Orphan Queen dislikes the chaos Aaravos brings and betrays him to Avizandum and Zubeia. Avizandum initially distrusted the Orphan Queen but was swayed by Zubeia, Rex Igneous, and other dragons to trust her. Together, with the help of the Tidebound Elves, Aaravos was "betrayed" and later imprisoned by Avizandum in an unknown location. The Orphan Queen had close relations with the King of Katolis who we saw in Episode 4 as an image strategizing with the other human rulers on future attacks on Xadia with Aaravos' help. This is important as close ties to the Royal Court of Katolis are essential to understanding how the Orphan Queen actually became the Queen of Katolis. The unknown location is likely a Hidden Sea near Xadia's core. If you watch Aquaman, you can see that the Trident of Atlantis is located in the Hidden Sea inhabited by dinosaurs. The Dragon Prince creators said that the prison was created with intricate clues and puzzles thanks to the Orphan Queen's friend, the Jailer. So Aaravos' prison will have many clues and puzzles Claudia and Viren have to solve (connects to the Puzzle House comics and Viren's past apprenticeship to Kpp'Ar who loved puzzles). Example: Aquaman Hidden Sea, Earth's Core -> ua-cam.com/video/Cg4ENbUYAKM/v-deo.html The Orphan Queen's "betrayal" caused Aaravos to believe humanity had betrayed him after everything he did to fight for their rights. He becomes furious and vows to bring disorder and chaos to the Elves, Dragons, and Humans. Aaravos also seeks the destruction and fall of the Startouch Elves who disagree with him and stay isolated from Xadia's affairs. He waited patiently for his coming freedom at the hands of Viren and Claudia (Katolis' Dark Mages). He will be free and take his revenge. Overall, if you see Aaravos' story. It feels similar to the Origin of the Sith Order in the Star Wars Legends stories. 1. Rogue Jedi who fought the Jedi Order for their dogmatism. 2. Rogue Jedi found a Primitive Species (The Sith of Korriban). 3. The Sith Species worship the Rogue Jedi as gods 4. The created Sith Order discovered the Dark Side. 5. The Sith Order created chaos in the Galaxy from the shadows. 6. The Sith Order creates the Sith Empire to conquer the Galaxy. Aaravos is similar to Sauron in his Annatar form.
Wow ..and yes. This actually all makes sense and explains a few things. It would at least make the earthblood elves make a little more sense. I really like and ...idk, it just makes sense and the fact that it derives from other pop culture makes it very viable to he something the writers actually had in mind. ..wow
Honestly, if it's ok, I might make a video covering this at some point, because it's a very overarching theory. I just feel like if I go with this for everything ...there's not much more to say😂
I find it kinda funny....even sealed, aaravos still has power over the world of Xadia and even still, even though he could easily control/manipulate anyone....none of them can help him get out of his prison.
My theory: All of the 6 Arch Dragons created 6 ARCH PRIMAL STONES from THE 6 PRIMAL NEXUSES, and with power of THE NEXUSES they trapped him, or HIS power is the power that traps him
Yes! I do think that Star Magic was involved! Especially since we now know how star magic seems to deal with multiple dimensions, like pocket dimensions? And everything to do with Aaravos seems to be similar to this..
I do love this video, it's more proof that he's like Palpatine (playing both sides so he win the game he started) Maybe it's similar to Eclipsa from "Star vs the Forces of Evil" Aaravos did some selfish things but he was only seen as evil from a matter of perspective. Spoilers for Eclipsa from SVTFOE Eclipsa ditched her responsibilities as Queen to date and marry a monster named Globgor. Globgor did do bad things but when they started their romantic relationship, he changed for the better and together, they had a daughter named Meteora. In other words, Eclipsa and Globgor are a mixed-race couple and they had a mixed-race child. Maybe something along those lines happened with Aaravos.
Thank you so much! I think they did say that the reason that Aaravos was tricked is because it came from someone "close" to him ...maybe even a love interest in some way?
While this does increase ge theory of Aavaros seeing himself as a God, Messiah or Savior if Humankind meant to be loved and respected by them We must not forget, that the Dragons and other Elf’s were still very arrogant as well. It may have been the Humans that became ungrateful to the Unicorns. But I still belive a lot of Aavaros motivations is not just based on being a Messiah, but also cause he feel he is enlightened and need to teach the Arrogance of Xadia that they have only Themselves to blame for his Actions
Great video! One thing I will say is that there's nothing in the lore to suggest Sol Regem ever burned down Elarion. The wiki is generally misleading about certain subjects and tends to be a poor source of misinformation. The Midnight Star poem is about humans before they had any magic, primal or dark. Sadly this might be the most common misconception of Xadia's lore. I hope to see more videos from you!
Thank you so much! You know I was actually thinking about this while I was editing. I wrote and recorded a while ago, but thought how I thought I remembered it being said somewhere, that's why I included it, but couldn't find that again. I think you're right! I hope to be making more videos too😊
I do not know who trapped him, but I believe I know where he is. I just hope they do not cut The Dragon Prince like they did with Avatar the Last Airbender. People start a good series and cut it. They never did Dragon Booster Academy, never ended the Pirates of Dark Water and the list goes on.
@The Glowing Hay When you asked what we think how his prison was created, I think he is not even in the dragon prince verse, maybe in season 5 we will se a new u universe where aarovos is located. When the dragon queen tells Ezrean the story we say that picture with a glowing orb and elves around it adding magical spells maybe that universe where aarovos is trapped is not a natural universe, it could be a universe that is made by the elves. I do have some proof top in the intro of season 4 we say space and other things which leads me to believes he is not in the is universe where zym lives
@@TheGlowingHay my proof is that Aarovos does not know where he is but Aarovos is a smart being, he has mastered all of the primal magic and also dark magic, with dark magic we have seen Viren and Claudia find things and also escape from their with dark magic, so if Aarovos is the most powerful mage wouldn't he be able to escape? But he can't because even if he breaks out he would not know where to go and maybe some magical powers can not be done correctly in this mysterious universe. A anthor reason is that their are tons of elves and humans all over the magical lands of xadia so wouldn't someone find it? After all he elves and humans have discovered some crazy things like aang from avatars staff and also sokka from avatars boomerang
I am pretty sure that Aaravos manipulates Viren and is just waiting the right time to betray him. That's why Viren is kinda different because he kinda understands it I also think eventually Viren will be possessed by Aaravos or dark magic and kill Claudia s boyfriend
@@TheGlowingHay This doesn't make any sense though. If this is the case, then Aaravos must have been the one to give the elves and dragons the idea to banish all humans. And that doesn't make sense since not only did the elves and dragons not reverse this decision after realizing that they were tricked, but they all seem afraid of Aaravos, like he exclusively antagonizes them and not humans
This video is more about the Mystey of the Aaravos than what the entire season 4 of the show gave us :D but anyways, I do like thinkinkg of him not as a straight up villain. That would be just to simple. Just making him the source of all evil kind of would make everyone who fell because of him seem less responsible for their actions. I enjoy characters that own up to what they do instead of just doing things blindly and he seems to be quite self-aware about this. The cost of making him too powerful though is that it will make look everyone else seem to weak or too stupid, so the screenwriters should be probably careful with that. I would hate for the heros to win just because they are good, instead of competent. I like to think that dragons ans elves were always quite arrogant, even before humans discovering dark magic. Why not make Aaravos have a different view of the humans before that. Kind of an arrogant curiosity. But since he was called a Prometheus type of character why not put emphasis on the fact that he did give humans something that ultimately saved their lives. Side question, just what makes Zubeia say that he is behind it all? And if that's true then why not make the big deal of that. Why not spread it far and wide like "look humans, you were used, he does not care for you despite his gifts, dark magic makes you pay a price, what kind of a person gives you that kind of gift?" Moreover, Callum is apparently not the only human mage ever, so that makes me wonder why he and the other could do primal magic. What does it take to be a human non-dark mage? And since Callum exist wouldn't that prompt other humans to just at least try primal magic, out of curiosity? Right now, only Callum seems to be allowed to feel special though.
There’s always more than what people think to a story. I think the queen is still not telling everything or at the very least we know her side of we want to learn anything we need to hear it from Aaravos view than we can get an idea of what the truth really is.
Uhhh did you try looking the windows of Aaravos's prison? In the window it looks like there's ice so it's probably in the tide bound elfs home or ice elves I don't really know but maybe you should check
I think there was an interview with the creators once where they described Aaravos as "complex," and suggested he was shaping up to be a Lucifer or Prometheus type of character. Personally, I'm convinced that he's doing what he's doing because he has some kind of beef with the other Startouch Elves. Because the thing is, we know it was the dragons and elves of Xadia who sealed him away. But in the long run, he doesn't seem to care about them beyond how he can use them in service of his greater plan. When discussing his character, I commonly reference the short blurb, "Patience," on The Dragon Prince website, where Aaravos is quoted saying, "I have not seen the stars in centuries. But when I see them again-when the stars are forced to look upon me, their dark brother-they will know how I have waited. And when everything they have built lies shattered, I will savor their fall from the sky." So it sounds to me like Aaravos is screwing with the balance of the world in an effort to either draw out or harm his own kind. Literally everyone he is using is just a means to an end, because he has some kind of grand plan to get back at the other Startouch Elves. And my big question is why. Is it simply because he "fell" or was cast out? Or does he feel he was betrayed in some other way? Regardless, I'm quite interested to hear Aaravos's side of the story. Because during the small amount of screentime he had in season 4, he came off mainly as a mustache-twirler, and I'm kind of waiting for him to be revealed as more than that. I think it would be kind of surprising for these creators to write a villain that simple or uninspired --- especially in a series that relies so heavily on the ideas of taking personal responsibility and the fact that there can be wrongs committed on any sides of a conflict.
I feel like theres so much bitter rage and anger coming from Aaravos, I feel like he was betrayed and thats why hes so angry. (Also because he was trapped.) I think my biggest question is how he broke the mirror? Maybe he had this power already and maybe he didn’t break it beforehand to manipulate Viren but didn’t want the others to be able to look at him. In season 4, when he controls Callum, he talks about “The human mage” (Which is of course Callum) and how he is destined to play into his hands. So everything that has happened, he is the next person he will control as Viren has lost his power and is a coward, and is now going to die in less than 30 days. My predictions for season five is that maybe they’ll find Aaravos, but there is going to be six seasons (for the six primal magics) I do think Aaravos somehow manipulates Callum for getting access to the other primal magic, because it’s clear Callum loves magic and may as well become greedy because of Aaravos’s reign over him and might become some overpowered puppet for Aaravos. (As it seems when he uses magic it doesn’t have much effect on the human realm.)
@@yesnoodleismynickname I think he was able to break the mirror because of the power he had absorbed from Zym through Viren. Because before season 4, he was never able to interact with the outside world directly without the help of his creepy caterpillar friend. So I think it's reasonable to assume that as the caterpillar guy grows in strength, so does he. Anyway, I agree with you that Callum will probably factor heavily into Aaravos's plans. We've already seen a number of parallels between Callum and Viren, meaning I think there's a real danger of him heading down a similar path.

Example: Aquaman Hidden Sea, Earth's Core -> ua-cam.com/video/Cg4ENbUYAKM/v-deo.html
The Orphan Queen's "betrayal" caused Aaravos to believe humanity had betrayed him after everything he did to fight for their rights.
3. The Sith Species worship the Rogue Jedi as gods
😄true, but that might change soon! I love that he isn't useless though!
My theory:
All of the 6 Arch Dragons created 6 ARCH PRIMAL STONES from THE 6 PRIMAL NEXUSES, and with power of THE NEXUSES they trapped him, or HIS power is the power that traps him
Yes! I do think that Star Magic was involved! Especially since we now know how star magic seems to deal with multiple dimensions, like pocket dimensions? And everything to do with Aaravos seems to be similar to this..
🤔
I do love this video, it's more proof that he's like Palpatine (playing both sides so he win the game he started)
Maybe it's similar to Eclipsa from "Star vs the Forces of Evil"
Aaravos did some selfish things but he was only seen as evil from a matter of perspective.
Spoilers for Eclipsa from SVTFOE
Eclipsa ditched her responsibilities as Queen to date and marry a monster named Globgor.
While this does increase ge theory of Aavaros seeing himself as a God, Messiah or Savior if Humankind meant to be loved and respected by them
We must not forget, that the Dragons and other Elf’s were still very arrogant as well. It may have been the Humans that became ungrateful to the Unicorns. But I still belive a lot of Aavaros motivations is not just based on being a Messiah, but also cause he feel he is enlightened and need to teach the Arrogance of Xadia that they have only Themselves to blame for his Actions
Yes the elves and Dragons definitely aren't flawless either!
Aaravos does definitely think of himself too highly though...
I thought you had more subs I hope they go up cause I really enjoy dragon prince and want it to do better. Great content
Thank you so much! I'm already so happy with how this has progressed!
I hope to see more people get into the show as well!
I love your videos, keep up the good work
Thank you so much! It's so crazy uploading and seeing people comment already...
@The Glowing Hay lol
I hope to be making more videos too😊
Aaravos: Soon i will have a new apprentice, one for younger and more powerful.
😂pretty much
Yes! A new episode
Thank you😊
Hope you enjoy!
Sorry for seeing your vid an hour late
😂😂 That's about the funniest thing to apologise for. No need, it means a lot that you do😊
I do not know who trapped him, but I believe I know where he is. I just hope they do not cut The Dragon Prince like they did with Avatar the Last Airbender. People start a good series and cut it. They never did Dragon Booster Academy, never ended the Pirates of Dark Water and the list goes on.
Its 254 subs.................yet😈
Yup, still going up! Thank you so so much! Looking forward to see how things develop!
Bro i love your videos
Thank you so so much!
@The Glowing Hay
When you asked what we think how his prison was created, I think he is not even in the dragon prince verse, maybe in season 5 we will se a new u universe where aarovos is located.
Ooh this is very interesting. I'd love to hear your reasons
@@krimapatel5060 i do think that he is trapped either in some pocket dimension, as we've seen Stella use, or in the stars somehow
@@TheGlowingHay yeah because we do see some portals this season
I am a big fan keep going
That means so much! I'm so glad that you can enjoy the videos I'm making😊
I am pretty sure that Aaravos manipulates Viren and is just waiting the right time to betray him. That's why Viren is kinda different because he kinda understands it
I also think eventually Viren will be possessed by Aaravos or dark magic and kill Claudia s boyfriend
That would honestly do the show some good😂 but you do have a good point! I definitely agree that Aaravos is just manipulating
Didn't Zubeia say that he plays both sides of every conflict in history?
Yes she did! Good point. But the question is what his motives and goals must have been
@@TheGlowingHay This doesn't make any sense though.
This video is more about the Mystey of the Aaravos than what the entire season 4 of the show gave us :D
but anyways, I do like thinkinkg of him not as a straight up villain.
Why not spread it far and wide like "look humans, you were used, he does not care for you despite his gifts, dark magic makes you pay a price, what kind of a person gives you that kind of gift?"
Moreover, Callum is apparently not the only human mage ever, so that makes me wonder why he and the other could do primal magic. What does it take to be a human non-dark mage? And since Callum exist wouldn't that prompt other humans to just at least try primal magic, out of curiosity? Right now, only Callum seems to be allowed to feel special though.
Thank you firstly😅
But yea you bring up good points. I really do want to get into Callum not being the only/first human primal mage as well.
There’s always more than what people think to a story. I think the queen is still not telling everything or at the very least we know her side of we want to learn anything we need to hear it from Aaravos view than we can get an idea of what the truth really is.
I think you're definitely right! I can't wait to get more pieces of the picture with future Seasons hopefully
@@TheGlowingHay I'm wondering how this will all go down.
Uhhh did you try looking the windows of Aaravos's prison? In the window it looks like there's ice so it's probably in the tide bound elfs home or ice elves I don't really know but maybe you should check
Yes I already have a video covering that in the works!
Should be the one after next!
We'll go over the location of Aaravos' prison
This dude needs more subs!!!
And when everything they have built lies shattered, I will savor their fall from the sky."
So it sounds to me like Aaravos is screwing with the balance of the world in an effort to either draw out or harm his own kind.
But if Luna tenebris comes back then that means zubaya will not be Queen
Gave dark magic to humans, killed old sunfire elf queen and recent queen.
Cool guy don't worry...
Just look at him, he looks incredibly friendly
...right?
4:56 My Theory Is That She Was A Moonshadow Elf.
elarion destruction and genoside was only a crime of xaidia, maybe that made aaravos evil.
Maybe... I agree that he wasn't involved in it, but I don't know if that was the trigger
CAN I JUST ASK ONE. QUESTION...?
What was Aaravos's motive? He used to be a good guy before he became a villian... So why?
I think something got taken from him, and it sounds like a love interest?
That is a good question though..
I wonder is star dragons or the star arch dragon can defeat aaravos
Yea I do too! Him saying he "swallowed" Aditi brought up the thought ...what if he's an arch dragon as well, and they can just shape-shifting
Is it only me, but I think your voice is a little bit different
Maybe? I honestly don't know but I'm sorry if it is😕
