Thank you for adding this. This is awesome. I’m a California kid homegrown and a huge mob fan. Always rather preferred the “gangster” lifestyle of the east opposed to the west coast gangs. Never understood it.
I highly recommend his book, The Last Mafioso! It's one the best written about Cosa Nostra's business, culture, and life. I read it as a teenager when it was released in the early 1980s, and along with The Godfather novel, inspired me to become a historian on the subject. A must-read with the help of the great Ovid Demaris.
@N P I also recommend MOB BOSS by Jerry Capeci if you liked The Last Mafioso. It's about Little Al D'Arco, the former acting boss of the Luchese crime family. It gives the reader plenty of insight into the New York mafia life and history. An excellent read!
