My brother settled there after he retired from the military following 20 years of service and he passed away a couple of weeks before hurricane Katrina. This was the last place that he was stationed at so because he loved living there he decided to make it his home after retirement. He had a son who was 2 1/2 years old that he was raising alone that I became his legal guardian. I would bring his son back every year since 2005 to visit with and stay connected to his siblings on his mom’s side of the family. Now I love it here as well very rich culture. I love the places that you introduced us to so I will definitely check them out on our next visit. Thanks! 🫶🏽⚜️
I like the design on the door. The food looks like good comfort food. Cool story about how he began the jewelry business. Love you showing the different business owners. Looks like a chill vibe. Looking forward to the next one.
I love this!! It always makes me smile to see something positive about my hometown. I grew up in New Orleans and wound up going to college out of state. I graduated, got promoted and moved around a bit, but I never stopped missing home during that time. I came back whenever possible and almost always had visitor(s) with me because they loved the city so much! There's really no place else like it. Lost a few people along the way(friends and both parents) and since moving back 10 years ago I seriously FEEL my people around me at times! I know I'll never live elsewhere
New Orleans is so full of culture, music, art and GREAT food! Can’t wait to go back! Great video👍🏾
Thanks fam! You’re so right. Culture, music, art, EVERYWHERE! We loved it 😊

Seeing food like this, pushes me to go closer and closer to being vegan -Fain
It was good. I gotta learn to cook like that. It definitely makes you feel better when it doesn't have all the processed foods.
The art mart is very cool.
It was really nice. Hopefully we can go back with money to spend one day.
