Sant Dnyaneshwar was born today - the eighth day of the waning phase of the moon, or Ashtami day, which is also Krishna Janmashtami.
He composed Dnyaneshwari, the first and most prominent Marathi commentary on the Bhagavad Gita, at the age of sixteen.
Presenting ‘Pasaydan’ which is a universal prayer for the welfare of human written by him.
