At 15:43, I've heard you mention that before... but it just now hit me that I've ridden that! Also the one at 16:21 was out of Lind Hall I think, which I've ridden that too. That's the only one I can think of that had Flushline there.
He gets them from people (elevator photographers) or people from elevator companies. He got some off eBay, and his fans are Tom Siber, Mike from Texas, cannycart, Dover Elevators, Thyssenkrupp Elevator, Aaron, CJ Anderson, O Town Elevators, CaptainElevator42189, PTL Equipment, Otis Elevator Company, Dandel Gondo, Benjavator, Jimster586, Elijah, Kimberly, John, Michael (a different Michael), Elevators From Sweden, Herttige Elevators, Mery State University,
Me again. Another thing probably not a good idea to turn on Mac or Windows PC laptop or desktop upside down either. If you do all the files were fall out of the folders Lol.
Dieselducy, you should wire up the Cannycart Dover COP so it is more interactive (lights up). Also, another good idea would be to number the exhibits and have a catalog made with information on each piece including country of origin, where it came from (building), who donated it, etc. This would help with videos and also with visitors who love history.
Hey diesel Ducey First is there a story with the name diesel Ducey. Or just how did you come up with it. All so did this come out a lot of trains as a kid. Now on to the museum. And things like that. In General. Normally or the elevator bulb set up for 110 volts initially or 24 volts. I know and some sistoms both voltages are used for different things. Such as in when they use 120-volt AC in interlock switches and limit switches reliability. Forall the series contacts. Also what type of lamps are used. Candelabra screw Base. Wedge base. Bayonet base. Etc. Also you say you're using 9 volt batteries in theas. Are you doing that with a 12 volt bulb? All so I have an idea for you. Since you have all the same type of stuff and they probably most of your stations excetera would use the same voltages although a few of them. I was thinking you could use a power supply that would run everything. And just have a cable on each one. With multiple contacts. For example common. Common negative. Positive 5 volts positive 6 volts positive 12 olds positive 18 volts positive 24 volts As well as a second common ground. And 24 volts ac. One thing I would caution you about is not running a hundred twenty volt AC in the same connector or cable. I would not do that. Also you may want to have a connector as an output from buttons and switches. also an input to to the lamps. That way if you wanted to run something or just to show him off you can have someone to do it without tedious wiring. Also another idea use an elder Bell or something like that for your doorbell. If you do have a doorbell. It would be easy enough 2 wire for 24 volts. If that dosent match up with the voltage you need. or the current is not enough just use a relay. Or something that would be kind of cool if your front and back door... Use elevator why entrance to indicate front and back door. And also you would have the single and double ding of the Bell to indicate which was being rang. I am a tech guy into Electronics Etc. also how many times have you gotten stuck in an elevator in your life doing these videos. I am shure that it's happened more than once by now. Thanks. Thoughts please respond thank you.
Wow its unbelievable that those old Transporta parts made it all the way to America I am actually from Czech republic and I remember driving Transporta lifts every day Always wanted to get some Transporta part but i cant find any for sale :(
Dieselducy you should open up your own museum building in Roanoke. I have been watching your videos for years and your museum is growing. Have you ever considered collecting KONE Marine fixtures.
Try Making a Homemade Elevator. Maybe That Montgomery G&P Panel Came off the glass elevator at Willow Grove Mall. Andrew I hate to say this, but Fujitec modernized the glass elevator at Willow Grove Mall.
Hey dieselducy me again That old manual car control with the large handle. I was actually expecting it to have a rheostat and maybe contacts as well. 4 speed control. Were there any that were like that? Also you think that if that's which were a stop run switch it be labeled as such. So that when somebody instinctively tries to stop or run the elevator. They don't accidentally turn on and off lights instead of doing the intended action. I know back then a wall that was not exactly considered. or was common practice. As you know back in the old days safety was kind of let's just say lacking! Oh by the way I know somebody that was in the others that had was anak lifts put stuff in the attic. It had pendant up down station on it. He asked me if I could have an elevator. Lantern and a car call station Mounted just on the wall. That would work like normal elevator buttons and Lantern would complete with the Bell. By the way it was one of the call plats with the key switch. Can't remember what kind it was. I wound up wiring it up so that when the down button it it would lower the pendant control box from a recess in the ceiling. When it reach the lower level the lower Lantern wood light and also the the Bell would sound. Same thing when it would reach the top when the up button was pressed. Except the up Lantern. For one thing the pendant was in a bad place. it was right in the way of something that was movable in that area. And all so the kids would have been playing with the attic lift as well. hence the key switch. The key switch was my idea by the way. Keep up the videos love it!

Hey Andrew, do you have the address for the building the elevator on which the Montgomery call station from California was located?
The museum is in your bedroom?
variety of elevator parts is very entertaining.
You should put the one with the lights on some cords and make it light up well, most of them
Amazing parts!!
