Driving off into the sunset from Paducah KY to Cape Girardeau MO

(11-21-2021) Enjoy as we depart Paducah KY and head to Cape Girardeau MO as the sun sets. Most of this drive is on 2 lane roads as we go up through Wickliffe, KY, Cross the Ohio river into Cairo IL and then drive up Route 3 to cross the Mississippi into Cape. I hope you enjoy this adventure.

Enjoyed this! From Metropolis, IL we take Route 3 South and it is 67 miles and takes 1 hour 23 min. We have a couple different ways we can go. I never thought about going through Paducah. Very interesting. I wish I could have read all of the road signs better. Thank you for sharing!

Cape Girardeau has a great entertainment district near the river and there is some amazing artwork on the floodwalls (and a great view of that spectacular Emerson Bridge that you crossed at the end).! This drive gave me an interesting perspective of the close e-w proximity of Cape Girardeau and Paducah. Living up north, I've been to both of these cities but as part of long n-s travels.and didn't realize they were only 70 miles apart. Interesting...

Ok y'all I could really use your help. My nine year old with autism is one of the biggest fans of dieselducy and elevators. He asked Santa for Thyssenkrup elevator buttons.
