I really like that you chose to cut off Ody’s hair. Don’t know if it was your intention or not, but it reminds me of the saying, that hair holds memories. Cutting off the hurtful memories and keeping one strand to keep just a few (mostly of Penelope and Telemacus)
Not to mention the fact that in so many renditions, his long hair is a liability that Poseidon (and sometimes Zeus) grabs and manhandles him with. This is actually the reason Alexander "the Great" of Macedon decreed that his troops should have short hair, because in melee combat it's a risk. This is the whole REASON that Western society considers short hair the "proper" style for men. It has fluctuated, but often long hair is seen as frivolous, the mark of nobles who don't get their hands dirty. (I personally hate the stigma against long hair. I like long hair on anybody. I want mine as long as I can grow it.)

Also, Ody's new short hair really suits him, gives him a bit more of a battle-ready look that fits him picking back up quest after being stuck on the island for such an extended period of time.
