    Curious: When you do your phone call test, is that recorded over cellular or on-board voice recorder?

    I just ordered them with your code! Hope they work with glasses. 😬
    I have really struggled finding small enough earbuds that would fit into and stay in my ear. My right ear has an even SMALLER opening!
    Hoping these will help keep air circulating in my left ear (the one I ALWAYS have a headphone/earbud/headset on. The pollen kicked up a few notches and for the first time, my left ear has sharp pains and is plugged up. No infection - just allergic type reaction to Seattle weather (with wildfire smoke to make life extra special).
    I am not your normal follower I am sure since I am not huge on music or a gamer. But podcasts, Ted talks, and audiobooks are my go tos.
    🤞 for this solution. Would love to hear additional suggestions on products or a good resource on open or on ear tech.
    Currently, I use the Plantronics (Poly) v5200 series (quite old tech, but they aren’t updating it) and the PLT Focus on 1 ear at a time because my ears get tired after 3-4 hours of meetings.

    Nice video. This headphone looks good. It looks very light, I don't know what the actual weight is? The weight of the Bone conduction headphone determines the wearing experience, and its waterproof grade and fit determine the use scenario. The Wissonly Hi Runner I am currently using weighs only 28g, has a waterproof grade of IPX8, and a good fit. Therefore, it has a good wearing experience and can be used in many scenarios, such as running, swimming, cycling, boating, fitness, etc.

    I have a problem with one ear canal for the last 20 years. My right ear gets plugged if I use any in ear buds. I finally switched over to the Galaxy buds live(Beans) and love them as nothing goes into my ear canal. The only issue I have is when riding my fat bike the buds have a tendency to wiggle loose. Would you recommend these Monster for biking? And is there anything else out there you would recommend with no ear canal penetration for exercising that are bud style. Thanks. Love your reviews dude.

      Ditto! For me, the air needs to access my ear or else it gets sweaty and can’t equalize. It has been almost 6 weeks of my ear plugging up - talking is muffled and my voice makes my eardrum vibrate. 😩. My ears are extremely small, so earbuds just don’t stay on. It must be on ear.
      I will be interested in seeing how these work with glasses

    Wow, I'm so glad I watched this.
    I was ready to pay $99 (and would have sent them right back!). But from your video, I learned that: 1. These aren't tough control, and 2. The voice quality sounds horrible.
    Thank you for saving me the trouble is ordering it and sending it back.

    I purchased these recently. They are quite disappointing. I've had several pairs of true wireless earphones and was keen to add a pair of bone conduction-style headphones for the comfort and convenience. I've tried out a couple Shokz models before and expected something similar - i.e. I was prepared for the step down in sound quality. These are a bigger step down than I expected. Practically no bass, tinny sound. Seems more about air conduction than bone conduction and the people around me can hear a bit of what i'm listening to. They aren't as comfortable as the Shokz models either as the headphones are chunkier and the band has a decent amount of clamp force.

    • @mygoldfishrocks
      @mygoldfishrocks Рік тому

      This video saved me the trouble of ordering them and returning them. I mostly listen to videos and streams, so I was willing to give up music quality for voice quality, specifically the quality of my voice on the receiver's end. It sounded horrible in the review. Do people you talk to with these on complain about the quality of the call?
      Btw, I ordered Shokz and had to return them. They dug into the back of my ears, so I was looking for something worth a smooth wire.

    Why does this look oddly similar to the IKKO ITG01. Almost like these are just rebrands. They even have the same charging mechanism and identical headband. Something seems odd here. Anyone else notice this?

    • @wmansir
      @wmansir Рік тому

      Thanks for posting this. Since the discount code is dead for these Monsters, I checked out the Ikko ITG01, aka Ikko Breezy, and they had a 55% off coupon so they were only $45. They appear to be very similar, with Monster being a bit bulkier but also having a claimed 7 hour run time (120mAh x2) vs 6 hour (105mAh x2) for the Ikko. However, the Ikko's charging case has a built in 350mAh battery, while I found no mention of the Monster charger having a battery at all. Also, the Monster advertises dual mic noise reductions for calls while the Ikko does not advertise this feature and I saw a review with a demo recording where the Ikkos sounded much worse than the monsters did in this video. Given these differences it is possible they have different sound quality, but all the reviews I found, including several at audiophile sites, said that the Ikkos sound very good given they are bone conducting.

    I got these. My head is a little small, so the band sticks out in the back and when it doesn’t the speakers are in the wrong place.
    I charged them, turned them on to do a better evaluation…and the speaker on my right ear started squealing/higher pitched sound. It was pretty loud, so after I took them off, disconnected from Bluetooth, powered them off - and after each one, the right side did the screeching. I can’t remember if there was sound playing from it.
    Disappointed and definitely is on their way back!!

    What’s weird is no one can do open ear correctly. Weird connectors, not enough sound, weird battery life, fake reviews. So far only like the Oramio. They heavy, but usb c, last beyond all day. Charge quick. They orange and sound ok to decent. Best set so far.
