Thank you so much, Mr. Lee. You have been our advocate and our voice. The retired teachers in Texas will forever be grateful to you and all the leaders who helped Congress understand it was time to do the right thing!
We cannot thank you enough for this relief! Retired teachers, Police, Firefighters, Postal and others are so thankful! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We truly appreciate This!
Thank you Tim for your heroic efforts in battling for us regarding WEP and GPO. I did receive a letter from Senator Cornyn regarding my letters sent out. Nothing yet received from Senator Cruz in Texas.
Thank you, Tim, for your dedicated hard work for all of us. My letter to Cornyn received a reply of him basically dancing around the issue. I'll forward a copy to you. So disgusted with these senators. Tim, if not for you, this matter would be so depressing. You continue to give us hope.
That's right Sir more pressure does need to be given in order to get this bill passed. Thank you for speaking and lobbying for all of our educators being affected by this WEP act.
18 years after retirement and they cut my SS in half ...who gave them the right to keep my $$$ give it back or give me my full pension!!! thanks for all you do!!!
Thank you Tim for all your efforts! You are a true fighter for educators! You are always are willing to listen...but will definitely fight for what is right!
I have also emailed Mike Crapo to please do whatever is possible to expedite this being brought to a Senate vote. As a TX transplanted to Louisiana I am very grateful for Senator Cassidy & Rep. Garret Graves!
As a retired Police Officer, I have been contacting my representatives since 1986 on this issue. I am 5 months away from my full retirement age and I really could use the SS income, yet I wait year after year for WEP/GPO to be eliminated. This is my last shot. I can not wait any longer. If it does not pass, I will have to take the penalty.
Thank you so very much Mr. Lee! From my first job at age 15, I paid into SS for 25 +/- years. After that I worked 26 years as a firefighter for the City of Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, where I did not pay into SS, but instead paid into my retirement pension (plus a few years of part time work where I did again pay into SS). In 2016 I retired on a half pension (my wife received the other half-amicably). Because the Firefighter job was for the city of Las Vegas, my 25+ years of paying into Social Security fell under the WEP & GPO, so consequently at age 62, when I applied for my Social Security, it was cut by two-thirds due to the WEP provision.
Ex railroad worker here who turned 65 last year and lost 50% of my pension when my wife and I need it most. My father in law was also ex railroad worker and a WWII veteran was on 100% offset and was collecting cans to make ends meet. We tried our hardest to help him financially but he was a proud man and wouldn't accept help from anyone. I couldn't even imagine how this proud man who served our country and worked 37 years as a railroader felt before his passing. We are only asking for what is rightfully ours.
Senate Brown, Is 100% for this bill ! Ohio here! He also lost this last election but not because of this bill! In fact I have just lately heard about this bill.
I'm a teacher in Massachusetts and will be penalized. As long as I'm working and not collecting my pension I collect Survivor Spouse Benefits. It's all over when I retire unless this law passes in the Senate. I'm 70 and ready to retire! Tell me why those in New York State are allowed to get both! We are supposed to be the United States of America. The same rules should be for all states.
As I understand it, it is all down to Schumer bringing it to the floor for a vote. They have enough votes (have heard anywhere from 60 to 63) but enough to override a filibuster attempt so what some ultra conservative senators want or don't want, it wouldn't matter. Just remember who was against it when it comes time to vote again and get them out of office once and for all.
Retired Letter Carrier, I got hit with this also. Someone should tell these Senators that we are middle class people and would put this extra money right back into the economy
We are running out of time ...they are to concerned about Trumps cabinet!!! it's all political they care nothing about the people and there problems!!!
Don't understand why the Senate won't bring this bill to the floor for the vote. The Senators have already said they have enough votes (61) to pass this bill to the floor but Schumer hasn't done it. Wondering what the issues are?
...What the HELL!!!...Schumer needs to bring this up for a vote pronto! If this is not passed, I will never vote again or support any political party!...this IS THEFT...Shame on Schumer!!
Maybe if the Politicians are so concern about the cost of this issue maybe we need to look at cutiing the Politicians Salary and benefits and cut on so much off days for Politicians this move would save money to.If this bill do not pass it would because of the Republicans. They Republicans are complaining about the cost, were have they(Republicans) been the past 40 years.I would like to see the Republicans pass this SOCIAL SECURITY FAIRNESS ACT and then all Republicans go out in front of the White House and c😊elebrate the passing of the SOCIAL SECURITY FAIRNESS ACT like they( Republicans) did when Republicans pass the TAX CUTS for the rich, they( Republicans)😮 laughing ,Shaking hands, and smiling because they had pass the bill for the Rich. REPUBLICANS celebrate the PASSING OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY FAIRNESS ACT.
These provisions protect no one…WEP & GPO rob firemen, police, teachers, widows, postal workers and other public servants of their earned pensions … you are a liar
Why are you such a naysayer? Please help your members work aggressively to get Cornyn and Cruz on board. They have been working very hard despite a lack of effort from your organization.
Thank you so much, Mr. Lee. You have been our advocate and our voice. The retired teachers in Texas will forever be grateful to you and all the leaders who helped Congress understand it was time to do the right thing!
Thank You, Director Tim Lee for All Your Help!!!!!! MARGARET ROSE GUERRA OF Palm Valley of District One!!!!!
We cannot thank you enough for this relief! Retired teachers, Police, Firefighters, Postal and others are so thankful! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We truly appreciate This!
Thank you so much Mr Lee for being our advocate.
Thank you, Tim, for all you are doing to right the wrong done to those of us who have given years of dedication to education.
Really appreciate your support and hard work towards passing this bill 82.
Much appreciate!
Thank you Tim for all your hard work for us. Disappointed in Cruz & Cornyn no support
If as large a group as Texas Retired teachers cannot convince their own two U.S. senators, it looks pretty bleak for the rest of us.
Thank you Tim for your hard work in trying to correct the wrongs of the WEP and the GPO... :)🌱
Thank you Tim for your heroic efforts in battling for us regarding WEP and GPO. I did receive a letter from Senator Cornyn regarding my letters sent out. Nothing yet received from Senator Cruz in Texas.
Thank you so much for your efforts!!
Thank you Tim! From Massachusetts and given $43.00 a month from Social Security. 16 years ago. I’m still alive and hopeful. 🙏🏻👍🏻
Thank you, Tim, for your dedicated hard work for all of us. My letter to Cornyn received a reply of him basically dancing around the issue. I'll forward a copy to you. So disgusted with these senators. Tim, if not for you, this matter would be so depressing. You continue to give us hope.
I never even received a response from either of those guys. My vote will support anybody else but Cruz and cornyn
Thank you, Tim, for your efforts regarding WEP and GPO.
That's right Sir more pressure does need to be given in order to get this bill passed. Thank you for speaking and lobbying for all of our educators being affected by this WEP act.

Thank you Tim for all your efforts! You are a true fighter for educators! You are always are willing to listen...but will definitely fight for what is right!
Thank you for spear heading this important piece of legislation.
I have also emailed Mike Crapo to please do whatever is possible to expedite this being brought to a Senate vote. As a TX transplanted to Louisiana I am very grateful for Senator Cassidy & Rep. Garret Graves!
Thank you for your dedication!
Thank you. Let's get it done now!
Thank you Tim! Im disappointed in the Texas Senators that did not vote to support the devoted Texas teachers. There needs to be a reform.\
Texas love Ted Cruz, the son of JFK assasin, sold his wife's reputation. Keep him rolling for Texas.

Thank you. Everyone needs to contact their senator to get this bill to the floor and approved.
Thank you, Tim.
Thankyou for your hard work. You are a blessing 🙌.
Thank you Tim. From Ohio
Thank you so very much Mr. Lee!

Thanks for finally making this a priority November-December 2024.
Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you for all your effort.

Not a party, thing but right thing to do...
Senate Brown,
Is 100% for this bill !
Ohio here! He also lost this last election but not because of this bill!
In fact I have just lately heard about this bill.
Upset with Senator Cruz being against this bill!
Neither of those guys will get my next vote
How in the first place did you trust the son of JFK assasin and sold his wife's reputation..
When we start getting the money I will buy a mattress thank you so much for pushing this bill.
I'm a teacher in Massachusetts and will be penalized. As long as I'm working and not collecting my pension I collect Survivor Spouse Benefits. Thank Tim for you are doing! Is there anyway you could get an interview with CNN, MSNBC, Fox etc. to promote this issue nationwide?
I have emailed Chuck Schumer imploring him to call a vote ASAP to cast his legacy as the person who make the vote possible!
@@joapplegate5305 well if Chuck don't pray.his life.will.be ok too many upset.people in this world

California here. LACo Employee and I am affected by WEP. Worked both County and private industry, yet do not get all that is due me. So unfair.
And I have notified our two Senators in Massachusetts. Warren & Markey.
Retired Letter Carrier, I got hit with this also. Someone should tell these Senators that we are middle class people and would put this extra money right back into the economy
Hoping this gets pass 😢
How much money have they saved over the last 40 years by not paying these people their full earned amount?? Wheres that money>??
What a disgrace Shame on all of them for not given us what we have worked for .
Sen Cassidy and Sen Markey...talked about bringing S 597 to the S floor for a VOTE...this week. I don't understand the holdup!
Please get Texas Senators on board to support the Social Security Fairness Act. How about holding back PAC funds?
We are running out of time ...they are to concerned about Trumps cabinet!!! it's all political they care nothing about the people and there problems!!!

*sigh* 🙄 If you're going to comment please base it in fact.
Hope no one gets hurts.... If this dont pass
What about back pay, figured I lost $96,000 in the ten years I was forced to retire due to cancer. Lost house and live in the ghetto to survive..
I'm a registered nurse. I save lives then social security steals my money. Just another reason I left the USA!
Yes, Sherrod Brown’s office number is not responsive.
10 days left crickets from Schumer
And cruz wanted donations from everyone
They just want to get elected. After that they don’t care !!!
Politicians don't vote in principles. They vote based on keeping their job. So socket to them! Remember how they vote. Americans can primary them.
Keeping fingers cross

Cruz did not return my call. Cornyn send a letter giving no hope.
They are all liars!!! IT WILL DIE....they are stalling!!!
42?????
Let us pray that the laws protecting the American taxpayer, WEP & GPO, are never repealed. Pay FICA, difficult concept?
These provisions protect no one…WEP & GPO rob firemen, police, teachers, widows, postal workers and other public servants of their earned pensions … you are a liar

Ted Cruz just won his reelection on November. I didn’t vote for him.
Thank you for your hard work!
