mad props to alex. taking the time on his own to learn how to tack? awesome. also damn those roots are his first? looks better then tons of guys welding for years
Solid video, Morgan and MCD1 team. I always learn a lot. Really awesome build. Keep these types of videos coming. I love seeing the progression of builds from the moment they get to your shop to the moment they're ready to hit the dirt.
You talked about the ears. Small tube you have to splice to be able to fit it in. My project is not 100mph woops but slow crawler stuff. Any reason I couldn't do that same thing in mine but use tube clamps? The interlocking style that you weld on each end.
Only for the exhaust/intake systems. The penetration is sufficient on the chassis tubing. Usually the backpurge insures a sanitary weld on the interior of the tubing walls. It would be a nice thing to do that would not hurt, but not necessary or efficient
Love it man! Quick question regarding weld washers. Ive noticed that some weld them(washers) to the outside of the two parallel planes; it looks like you guys welded them inside the shock mounts. Is this preference or to eliminate misalignment spacers for the upper shock bolts?
We use these on the inside always. This prevents less wear on the shock caps & allows for more articulation or swing of the shock body itself. Before it crashes into the shock mount.
@@rubberduckyTJ Holy crap, no kidding! $54 for 26"x38" .042 50pcs, but least expensive shipping LTL to me in Montana is $212 🥺 Only a good solution for local pickup in CA
@@tiny_the_200 yeah I even called them to see if I did something wrong. 290$ or so They could do 30 sheets for 90$. Still, alotttt of money for some paper. I’ll try to find another place for em.
TELL ALEX the internet says good job on doing the extra work on his free time to learn somthing .kids these days are bare minimum at best .the internet is watching his progress .keep up that hunger and good work
I love Clark's work, but iam so confused on this one ? If I had a bronco I'd def want the rear half to have as much room as I could for utility and space maybe iam wring but this kinda reminds me of a standard cab build 🤔 Mayne that's what the owner was going for but damn broncos habe apot of space in the back to loose all of it to a sick ass cage. Like it's a work of fuckin art no doubt I just can't see that many 2 inch tubes taking up the epic space of the bronco but whatevs. Looks fuckin wicked.
@bmxchangedmylife6155 yeah my boy has a bronco done by Solo and the back has crazy space and caged. He puts all kinds of shit in there. He can sleep in there if needed. But hey can't knock it for being pretty as shit. SEMA shit for sure. But damn. Lol
@MorganClarkeDesign1 were ready, let that video fly 🪰. Regardless it's gonna be one of the most epic builds. Don't let our comments fade your Aritistic abilitys keep kicking ass.
Don’t ever change how you do these videos! Love the learning aspect that we get as viewers 🤟 you are the select few that actually explains everything while showing a build!
Going to be a slick setup, great transition from tape to reality 👍😎

my dream job right there
🖤
What's your process for how you make each end of a tube to weld it? Just hand sanding each end or do you use a tool?
Super right, keep it pushing.
Do you guys feel that back purging your Chassis and tube work would be beneficially or just over complicate things ?

I agree with you. Lots of wasted space.
Wait till you see the fuel cell! Then you’ll really be bummed out on space!
