Jahbari Akua what game are u playing right now? Im looking for max fps with lowest setting for 240hz monitor (esports configuration) and im planning to buy 1080ti. Is it too much or 1070 is already enough?
Hippiezpunk if you are playing esports titles like csgo, then you only need a 1070-1070ti to reach 300+FPS on the lowest setting. If you are not play shooter, then that heavily depends on the game, but then why the high frame rate in that case? Having said that, if you the budget, go for a 1080ti, it’ll go a long way.
Doing some quick math, 1440p144 is 6.7% more pixels per second than 4K60, so 1080ti recommended. 1080p144 is 35% more pixels per second than 1440p60, so you'd be looking at a Vega 56 / 1070 level card. Obviously these calcs only work for linear gains, but probably a decent estimation.

Kieran Dellow Actually I was surprised to find out that my 980ti can run games in 4K really smooth and at high settings too. It's not going to be "ultra" but at high settings it's perfectly playable and gets 60fps average in most games
I studied myself all these things in the past days and bought yesterday a 1060 3gb. So ok i'm really happy for not wasting money, but PLEASE Linus for the next year: let's sync so you guys just do all this work for me ok?
Here in Italy there are no real deals on Black friday. Actually since people are buying all today prices are just increasing, so i bought all before and it seem I was not wrong. There are only a pair of SSD on sale
allowing the bill to pass will cause massive price spikes in all kinds of things, it will allow the FCC to control what we actually can access on the internet, and will hurt business internet practices horribly. imagine having to pay an extra fee just to watch linus. passing this bill can let that happen
for all my friends builds I personally recommend a 1050ti for 1080p as its cheaper works amazingly and the 4gb of vram provide better "future proofing" in my opinion
Nick Hippen depends on your usage. Most games will run at 1080p60fps on high settings and if you go a little lower with your settings every game available should run just fine.
+Dark ^-^ NO NO NO! The Intel HD 4600 is identical to the GT 730, which the 730 costs around $30-$70 online and in stores, so in order to get a marginal upgrade, you would have to get the GT 745 that costs $60-$80 or higher.
Being a former GT 730 owner, I can confirm that it's equal or faster than the HD 530, the Skylake integrated graphics. The Haswell integrated graphics aren't a match for the 730.
I'm happy with my GTX 1080. I was considering the GTX 1080 Ti, but the price to performance ratio vs the GTX 1080 made it a bad value for me personally. I can play a lot of games in 4K at ultra settings with my 1080 at 60fps just fine. Obviously with certain games, like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, I have to either turn down some settings or just lower the resolution to 1440p to keep the settings at ultra. I am not bothered by this. For a lot of people, the GTX 1080 is overkill and especially the GTX 1080 Ti.
Don't listen to this video lol, he gets paid in free tech by Nvidia to sponsor their products. He didn't bring up Freesync, AMD's better driver UI, their shadowplay equivalent (all GPUs have supported h.264 encoding for several years now), and blatantly ignored Vega 56 even when it sat even in FPS/Dollar with the 1080 at 1440p. Don't fool yourself into ending up in an ecosystem with a monitor that costs $200 more than it should for Gsync, which is to the human eye nearly identical to freesync just because you accepted an advertisement as fact. Just buy any card in the rough price range you are looking at when on a good sale. Keep an eye on slickdeals and reddit's /r/buildapcsales.
Are you kidding, now is still a terrible time to buy a graphics card! You know, in the uk since the gtx970 came out, the cost of a current -70 tier card has just about doubled! It's just rediculous!
Tell me about it, It's a proper piss take. I'm stuck using Intel shit as my old 760 died and I'm suffering, nothing runs - and it wasn't the best experience with the 760 to start with, so I thought by skipping a few gens I'd be enjoying better for less by now, but nope, artificial inflation is currently cleaning my arse hole out with barbed wire.
This is a guide to buying cards now, not a video about why the current market blows. If you need a card now you buy it now, if you can wait this isn't the video for you.
BelovedBEE Because content creators should just do it for free and eventually go away when they can't sustain their channels. Children and their entry level knowledge of economics.
1080ti looks like it was the wall the hit and everything and just been slight upgrades on that over the years, so yeah... it's Def still looking good, especially if you aren't worried about super high fps at 4k.
TheChosenEvilOne Playz Games All it does is record (incl. replays). And it doesn't even do that correctly all the time. It still needs to be improved to be a viable alternative to ShadowPlay. RX 480 user, btw
One year later. I'm still using the 1070 GTX for 1080p. Hitman 2 looks awesome. Great Value. The Ti version only give us a couple more frames. But yeah. This is good. Thx linus. Can't wait to see what happen in 2018.
I got my MSI RX580 Gaming X PLUS 8G before the mining craze for $280. I tried selling it on ebay and it sold for $500 but the damn buyer wanted me to send it to a different address than the one listed on his paypal. Ebay rep. told me to cancel the sale because it was most than likely a scammer. Long story short, I din't get to buy a 1080 because of a damn scammer lol but I'm happy with my 580 till this day. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137116 It's been out of stock since May.
That sucks, but at least you have a good card. I wanted the 8GB version, but it is still running about $280 when you can find them. For $189 for the 4GB card, I felt it was a steal. Now I just need AMD to optimize drivers for PUBG and I will be set.
guys on those video cards make sure you read the reviews on newegg! for example on the ASUS Radeon RX 580 there are a total of 7 reviews and they all mention how incredibly hot this card gets...so read carefully!!!
Philip Ottey fucking miners just when I was gonna build my pc and also what’s up with the ram prices I remember they use to be 40$ or so now it’s like 80$ it’s absurd
Renegade Legend not sure it will affect him in Canada. Except his US fans might get tunnel bear blocked. Any VPN company that relies on the US is screwed.
BesterP12 Yes, I see, but still. There are individuals all across the world that are concerned by une US's decision. I just want to see what Linus and the Tech Tips Team think about Net Neutrality and everything.
I am sure he is for net neutrality, I haven’t seen anyone really against it. I wish I could see a video with a valid 2 sided debate on the issue, I don’t think it’s as simple as people assume (but I could be wrong, which is why I want a good debate). Anytime something goes to government control/oversight it kills innovation. Look how the space programs are doing now that private industries are involved (and are relatively unrestricted).
I liked the video and watched it and turned off my ad blocker, because he said that you can find everything in the description. he cares about his viewers so damn much. love him
Well i've had a Asus 1050 Ti for 6 months now and i can run any game i ever wanted on medium to high settings while recording. i also have a dual 1080p 60hz monitor setup but my 1050 ti doesn't give a fuck. most of my friends have 1060 6gbs and all they get, although they paid twice as much as i did is like 10 more fps on the same settings.
I bought my first ever serious gaming PC(it's a laptop don't kill me) over the summer after being a console player for my entire life. It was Linus' recommendation of the Dell inspiron gaming 2017 that sold me. I bought a higher end model for a little over a thousand bucks. I haven't regretted my purchase since. It's the exact thing I needed since I move around a lot and like to game. All with only a 1050ti under the hood. It hasn't let me down yet. And I think I'll be able to run plenty of new games on it for quite awhile.
I just don't get how you could argue the 1060 3gb over the 1060 6gb. Besides being only like 30-40 dollars more, 6 gigs of ram is so much better. honestly 6 will be even too small in a couple years max.
Keep in mind that the 1060s will be limited on cuda cores/shader counts before VRAM. There is typically a 10% drop in performance between 3GB and 6GB. I bought the EVGA 1060 3GB SC for $180 last friday. the 6GB model of that exact same card is selling for $269. Even if you get the cheapest one which is the zotac mini with that crappy heat spreader for $240, it is still NOT WORTH IT. need some videos? ua-cam.com/video/gNhvmP8yNE4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/9YOQq5_bwHc/v-deo.html at 7:15
Note to the editors - 6:20 - When you highlight a bar in the bar chart while it's being referenced, you should at least use another colour and not a different shade of the same colour. It made it harder to differentiate between those important to look at and those that weren't. Maybe use a contrasting colour?
I am only frantically watching linus's videos to catch up on a 7 year computer knowledge deficit. I don't keep up with this stuff. Who is team blue? Or is that a joke?
If you can't game at 1080 60fps for under $200 then we can't say that PC gaming is cheaper than Console anymore! I should be able to play games without spending more on a GPU than I do on rent!
I actually like this new edition that is being aplied to the videos, the transitions and images displayed are really good, and this video was actually nice to see, informative an in a more professional tone.
I spent 4 total weeks on comparing specs and collecting info. In the end of it all, I picked up the best suiting components and now I am satisfied by them all.
WAIT FOR YOUR PRICE BEFORE YOU BUY! Your wallet speaks! you just have to have faith in it! aka dont give in! the price will fall to your "worth it" price if you wait for it. Something schools seem to have walked around teaching youngsters for many years now. If people dont buy it the price will come down until people do start buying.
Yes but you can't outrun tech. If you want a good video card at some point you have to save it and buy. In other words he the ppl wait 2 years to buy a card eventually the card is now not that optimal for the newer games and so and so on. Now there are difference cases such as Iphone fanboys, buying 1000 phone when there are tons of other options of other phones performing equal or better at 30%-50% lower prices that's a different story. For video cards you get AMD or Nvidia and that's it
That's not true. Point and case my buddy wanted a decent high end gpu for his new gaming rig, and while he had the money to drop a grand if he chose to on it. That really wouldn't make much sense because he just simply hasn't the time to play games all day every day (and most games dont require it unless your have ultra high standards for resolution and refresh rates.) so it made much more sense for him to buy a cheaper card. He ended up getting a Sapphire Vaper X Fury for just 200$ about a year after it had been released. Now i know it is definitely not the fastest card but it absolutely kills 1080p over 100fps in bf1 max settings. Other thoughts... Overclocks like a boss because sapphire cards are beast and have good voltage control software. Its quiet! Uses high power under max load but at idle is very low. So you pay a few $ extra for power when your actually gaming @ full power, not a big deal. Nothing wrong with running last years top dog over this years mid range gpu's they both perform very close to each other. I mean a top end gpu will do fine for games for at least 5 years or more. Just look how many people still game on 760ti's FFS lol. Thats like the power of a gtx 480 or there abouts how old is that now? (march 26 2010) Mind you that 1.5GB vram was NOT enough even then for some games. I found that out when i picked up a 590 returned it for refund and got a 580 classified and was blown away at how much faster the single gpu was over the dual even with games that supported sli properly! 3GB vram was FTW! Also it clocked like a absolute beast! Also was the same price as the 590! lmao. Was good card up till i picked up 290x. The deals are out there you just have to watch for them. Also this will mean you will not get the best gpu money can buy! How ever he will be able to play any game for the next 4~8 years @ High to Very high settings, minus possibly AA or maybe HBAO+ or something for that game that has a large effect on gpu load for his system. Fact is most people would never notice how a game looks with lower details unless they swapped them back and forth to look for IQ changes. And imho its definitely not worth the extra 400+ dollars for the newest shiny gpu. Especially now days with how much gpu power is available. Only games that "require" high end gpu's are just boring anyways just a repeat of last years new shiny garbage. (BF1 included) So saying you can't out run tech. Is well a bit of a flaw in your logic imo. You can run all the older games that you love and will likely have more time into anyway and still have enough power to load up New games for many years to come if you so choose. 1080p is very very easy to run for todays hardware. That is IF you care about actually playing the games vs worried about how pretty you can make it look by dumping all your hard earned cash on it. Well that's up to you! But for most people they simply don't care about any of it and just buy what they are told to buy without much thought about how much money they could save. This applies to all things people buy now days. Even cars and houses. People are fools with their money. Sad but true.
When do you think Volta will be available in markets , see I am on the verge of buying a gtx 1060 6gb myself and i would hate if they launch Volta just after a month
Satvik Rustagi about early spring from these tech rumors. However they will be announing the full specs, price, and the ampere gen cards line up too next month, so you can either cash in or just wait one month more for the 1080s and titans cards to drop finally.
Philip Ottey what would you do if you were in my place , I have an i5 4440 and I will be gaming on 1080p do you think it will be wise to wait for ampere or just get a 1060 also I only have the budget for 1060 , I am a student so I cant buy fancy stuff like 1080 and Titan
Satvik Rustagi 1060ti is your best bet because it is more stable at running 1080 on max settings than a regular 1060. My friend has that and a recent 1151 pentium and it can game 1080p at decent framerate without that much frame dips( f04 for example).
Jip Jackson thats cool and all but I have friends who play CSGO on 4:3 or 16:10 and it records black bars. If it also has frame drops, GeForce Experience doesn’t have any that I have noticed.
Brooke Barnhart you get to choose who you donate to, if that's what you're asking. The web site Charity Navigator gives you all the info you need on how efficient their business model is.
I play with GTX 1080 Ti 1080P 3x144hz monitor. I play Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Horizon 3, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Age of Empires 2 HD, Richard Burns Rally, Trackmania, Train Simulator 2014, Shipsimulator and iRacing,
WTF? What you mean waste of money for THESE Games? Yeah every of them don't need that much power but like FM7 with 3 monitor and when want more than 60fps need POWER!
meh, bought my rx 580 for 270 Euros back in summer and it is more than enough for me to max out all the games with 60fps. on 1080p The only thing it can't handle is MSAA 8x, just put it on 4x and its smooth running.
My RX 470 runs fine in ultra on all games at 1080P. Something is not right. What games do you run and what CPU do you have? I easily get 65 tpp 130 FPS on every game on mine with an OC i7 4770K at 4.2 ghz
470 and 1050ti will only last another year til its shitty to play on high graphics. might as well spend the extra money and hold on to your graphics a little longer
Why people put rx580 against a higher tier gtx1070 is very confusing. AMD RX 580 is 1080p card only, not good at 2560-1440 if you want 60fps and neither is Nvidia's equivalent gtx 1060. Gtx 1070 goes against Rx vega 56 [both great cards for 1440p gaming and obviously both have very similar performance and price.]
I don't think fucking my computer is going to help anything sir. GTX 1070 or better is generally going to work but at what cost? 1070 is obviously going to require you to turn some settings down mind you.
Was dead ass about to search up what’s the best video card for the money and then I knew Linus was probably producing some heat and so I came here and I was not disappointed
After ive read about it, i tested at a friend of mine and he definitely had stutters and problems with >3,5gb vram^^ But it may vary from the model and game i guess^^ But nice to hear, that some cards/games dont care about the "3,5" gb vram :^)
Im using 4k ori your opinion is quite subjective and rather obtuse to say nobody is using 4k when that is hilariously untrue and now that the xbox one x is out consoles are taking advantage of it too.
Coleman Christy okay maybe im reading this wrong but WTF are u talking about? Why waste money on a more expensive card which is needed to play 4k at good frame rates when u can TURN DOWN THE RESOLUTION TO GET to 4K. Isnt that like saying turn down the resolution from 1080p to get to 1080p?
Inflated prices due to high demand. In the past, AMD built plenty of cards. Then mining hit a little crash and the market was flooded with 2nd hand cards. All these cards AMD made were no longer required, AMD lost out. This time around AMD are more careful. Thus at the end of the day, the consumer has set the pricing.
Freesync is actually pretty crappy. Not many people review it but most people who do say they've seen some pretty ugly "stuttering" and framepacing issues compared to Gsync monitors. I'd rather go for a gsync monitor or preferably save my money and get a gsync-less monitor because screen tearing is a non-issue for the majority of games unless your framerate is consistantly lower than 60 fps (or whatever the refresh rate of your monitor is) in which case just lower the settings or resolution. It's a huge non issue really especially for gpus like the gtx 1060 or above which can easily do 60+ fps in all games. You only get "scammed" if you want to get scammed. Variable refresh rates are basically useless nowadays for a very high majority of people. There's really no point in telling people to buy a specific gpu brand just because they'll get a cheaper and shitter or an expensive but stable variable refresh rate technology.
@TessellatedGuy, It's true that Freesync has no set frequency range. But there is nothing 'pretty crappy' about modern Freesync panels. Indeed Freesync Panels with LFC can't be told from Gsync. Try learning about it before giving a technical summary ;)
Depends on resolution and framerate. If you are doing 4K, a GTX 1080 will work, just it won't be the most effective. I am looking at a GTX 1060 or a GTX 1070 myself.

Doing some quick math,
1440p144 is 6.7% more pixels per second than 4K60, so 1080ti recommended.
1080p144 is 35% more pixels per second than 1440p60, so you'd be looking at a Vega 56 / 1070 level card.

MrJack08722 as far as my analysis goes (at least in the field of notebooks) in Europe they only give deals on the old stuff no one wants anyway :(
John Uferbach ,exactly or on some already overpriced hardware.

The funny thing is that all that money they're spending on video cards is money they'll never make back mining in this decade or perhaps this century.

for all my friends builds I personally recommend a 1050ti for 1080p as its cheaper works amazingly and the 4gb of vram provide better "future proofing" in my opinion
Cizx I think the 1050ti is a little weak for today’s standards.
Nick Hippen depends on your usage. Most games will run at 1080p60fps on high settings and if you go a little lower with your settings every game available should run just fine.
Gtx 1050 ti is great for any game basicily.
1060 is 6gb is actually future proof
1050 ti sucks ass. Rx570 gives better value and future proofing for the same price
So.... I'm still using my integrated graphics
Asdrubale Girolamo but what’s the CPU?
just buy a 1$ gpu how hard is that lmao 3x the performance
+Dark ^-^ NO NO NO! The Intel HD 4600 is identical to the GT 730, which the 730 costs around $30-$70 online and in stores, so in order to get a marginal upgrade, you would have to get the GT 745 that costs $60-$80 or higher.
Being a former GT 730 owner, I can confirm that it's equal or faster than the HD 530, the Skylake integrated graphics. The Haswell integrated graphics aren't a match for the 730.
Dark ^-^ you are really misinformed.
Not these day's though even the Gtx 1080Ti is considered entry level and by two more gen's it will be considered as an display adapter frankly LoL.

I got my build last year, back before RAM and graphics cards price spiked. That did mean I missed out on Ryzen, that build was out of need...
Pretty sure it's the best time since it's Black Friday vs. standard everyday pricing if you were to buy a card this year...
it's a business, he has to sell you something

1080ti looks like it was the wall the hit and everything and just been slight upgrades on that over the years, so yeah... it's Def still looking good, especially if you aren't worried about super high fps at 4k.

That sucks, but at least you have a good card. I wanted the 8GB version, but it is still running about $280 when you can find them. For $189 for the 4GB card, I felt it was a steal. Now I just need AMD to optimize drivers for PUBG and I will be set.

Linus, what is your opinion on the Net Neutrality situation that's been arising these past few days?
Renegade Legend not sure it will affect him in Canada. Except his US fans might get tunnel bear blocked. Any VPN company that relies on the US is screwed.
BesterP12 Yes, I see, but still. There are individuals all across the world that are concerned by une US's decision. I just want to see what Linus and the Tech Tips Team think about Net Neutrality and everything.
We'll figure out tomorrow on the wan show probably. It doesn't affect him, or me for that matter, since he and I live in Canada

Rx580. Its basically the newer AMD version of the 1060 and honestly the perfect midrange card.
Ritvik ehhhhh i prefer the 1060
Rx 580 out performs 1060 and the 1060 is older so future games it will be worse
It would be a better value if the damn dirty bit miners didn't pillage it from the shelves.
That card is un-fuckin-reachable!
i got one before christmas for £260 the 8GB version
I just don't get how you could argue the 1060 3gb over the 1060 6gb. Besides being only like 30-40 dollars more, 6 gigs of ram is so much better. honestly 6 will be even too small in a couple years max.
Keep in mind that the 1060s will be limited on cuda cores/shader counts before VRAM. There is typically a 10% drop in performance between 3GB and 6GB. I bought the EVGA 1060 3GB SC for $180 last friday. the 6GB model of that exact same card is selling for $269. Even if you get the cheapest one which is the zotac mini with that crappy heat spreader for $240, it is still NOT WORTH IT.

but consoles arent ALL 60 FPS and most arent 1080p.
The 1080p choices make sense... UNLESS you actually wanna make good use of your 144Hz or higher display, which most gamers go for these days.
A very small percentage of people owns 144Hz monitors.

(BF1 included)
So saying you can't out run tech.

WHAT CARD TO BUY LATE 2017?
None. Just wait for the new releases in early 2018. Hurrying up can lead to buyer's remorse down the line.
lol why would I overpay for obsolete FE from 2 years ago?

RIP Intel Graphics.
Good to know. I bought the Radeon RX 580 8GB 256-bit last week. Along with a new AMD FX 9590 8 core 4.7 Ghz CPU.
meh, bought my rx 580 for 270 Euros back in summer and it is more than enough for me to max out all the games with 60fps. on 1080p
The only thing it can't handle is MSAA 8x, just put it on 4x and its smooth running.
My RX 470 runs fine in ultra on all games at 1080P. Something is not right. What games do you run and what CPU do you have? I easily get 65 tpp 130 FPS on every game on mine with an OC i7 4770K at 4.2 ghz
My RX480 8GB handles most stuff I play on 1440p Ultra @60FPS. Doom for example.
240€ back in december 2016.
Ultra is pretty pointless. You can get better FPS and good graphics if you just set it on high/medium.
bought my second hand Sapphire R9 290X OC for 166 Euros in early spring and that was awesome... after that: mining booommm....
But what is better in 2018 , rx 580 8Gb or 1060 6GB
I have the same question and they are the same price now! I think i'll buy the 1060 6 gb
@Eduman Learning i went nvidia because it consumes less energy also i hope it doesn't gets obsolete in at least 3 years 😅
Obviously
Obviously obviously.
3 years later, these cards are still sought after :)
Why am I watching this. Its 2019 and I have a 2080...
I'm still watching this as well for time reason
For 1080p use rx 470 or gtx 1050ti
For 1440p use gtx 1060 6g or rx 580 8g
For 4 k fuck it
470 and 1050ti will only last another year til its shitty to play on high graphics. might as well spend the extra money and hold on to your graphics a little longer
Not really. They'll last alot longer. They will still be able to pull fps. It's shitty once they drop 30 fps not 60.
1080p is my sweet spot
I have a 1080p monitor but I have a 1080ti in my PC is it overkill?

lmfao
Linuhs make a vid about net neutrality
I bought a used gtx 760 for $40 december 2017. And it still stands its ground! Best deal ever I feel!
OBVIOUSLY
Why waste your money on an expensive graphics card for 4K gaming when you can just turn down the resolution and get 4K on a cheaper card?
Im using 4k ori your opinion is quite subjective and rather obtuse to say nobody is using 4k when that is hilariously untrue and now that the xbox one x is out consoles are taking advantage of it too.
I have a 50 inch 4k tv and on it i have connected my PC, Xbox one S and a Raspberry pi lol
Coleman Christy okay maybe im reading this wrong but WTF are u talking about?
Why waste money on a more expensive card which is needed to play 4k at good frame rates when u can TURN DOWN THE RESOLUTION TO GET to 4K. Isnt that like saying turn down the resolution from 1080p to get to 1080p?
what the fuck are u smoking?
if u lower the resolution its not *4K* anymore
ikr...lol
1050ti
1050ti will sucking in 2018.
Best choice is 1060 6gb for 3 years
Arytadss but budget wise, bang for your buck it’s the 1050ti
Lmao losers intel HD graphics is the best for 4K 120Fps gaming.
True, but you need superpower intel core 2 duo
u sure bout dat?
like a i7 7600k + gtx 1050 ti is be a *SUCKING?*
This is probably the smoothest tunnel bear ad yet.
Chicken! Give me TENDIES!
REEEEEEEEEE
Value would be AMD + Freesync. Scam would be Nvidia + Gsync. Simples.
gsync monitors are soooo overpriced
Value != massively inflated prices due to bloated demand
Try learning about it before giving a technical summary ;)
just wait for volta
More like wait for the altcoin market to crash and burn horribly like every other pyramid scheme... which is basically what gpu mining turned it into.
Hordequester I hope it crashes down and miners die off, they're useless anyways
Got me a 1060 3gb for 155 USD from newegg and I am very happy with the performance it provides me,Destiny 2 looks amazing at high detail
I have video in my card
Best new card to pair with a fx 8350?
Thats an outdated cpu man.No one use that anymore.
If you aren't thinking about a new CPU, 1050 Ti.
If you have any GPU already that can handle your games, upgrade to Ryzen 3.
Depends on resolution and framerate. If you are doing 4K, a GTX 1080 will work, just it won't be the most effective. I am looking at a GTX 1060 or a GTX 1070 myself.
All these outdated cpu comments and I’m still using an A-6. I’d probably recommend a 580 if you want to stick with AMD.
I still use the gold ol 8350. Sadly their is no real upgrade path...
MSI 4 life
+ Nvidia
I just bought the Titan Xp Galactic version after the price drop, can't wait to get it!!!
