What, if any are the risks in performing this process more regularly (say, 5 times a year), and also to put the backmount twinset back together again?

If done correctly there shouldn't be a risk. However the thread on the isolator manifold is very fine and easy to cross thread, so damage to that thread could be considered a risk every time the twin-set is assembled.
