I think Polybomb is interesting but can’t be printed right now. If it is in the same standard as Meteor, then it twists from a card that makes positioning matter to making positioning suck. Those two cards are both 6 mana Mage spells then that have exactly opposite counterplay. So then the appropriate play is to pretend the Mage has neither card which defeats the whole point.
Whenever I see discard warlock cards, I can't help but feel like playing discard warlock again. Then I remember how bad the discard mechanic is. I wish Blizzard would print some cards like "Discard you cheapest/lowest attack/lowest health card", randomly discarding your discard cards is a bad time. All this deck needs is some controlled rng
Doomguard should discard the lower-cost cards, and soulfire should discard a minion, since Doomguard's all about crushing small shit n stuff, and Soulfire burns the soul out of a minion in your hand.
>discard sucks in shadowverse. Not when you can discard your hand full of tokens and draw that many cards for 2 mana do that twice, then play ptp (6 damage to all enemies each turn if you have played or discarded 30 cards or more.) and win the game. thinking about it "discard your hand and draw that many cards " would make discard warlock viable.
Drew Armstrong, The Glorious Lobster Emperor it doesnt need more than one turn, just coin for mana do damage to face and repeat. 3 mana otk. Edit: just realised what you mean, youre right.
Khanix doesn't say, "add a copy of all cards you discarded this game to your hand this turn only. They have echo this turn." It says, "add an echo of all cards you discarded this game to your hand." In other words, "add an echo" versus "the card has echo". I'm pretty sure this means that you can only play each card once. Basically, if a card _has_ echo, than each time you play it it adds _an echo_ (one) to your hand. If a card is _an_ echo, I would say "this card disappears from your hand at the end of the turn". If a card _has_ echo, then it means, "add an echo of this card to your hand". It just so happens that the only way to get echos of cards using the official cards is by playing cards with echo. If a card _has_ echo, than naturally each echo of that card would also have echo, but when designing new cards you don't need to limit yourself to that. For example, imagine a card, "add an echo of a friendly minion to your hand". You'd have to play that minion this turn, and you could only play it once. Just my two cents.
Actually Soulweaver Khanix's description is a bit unclear for most people in the comments, but the Echo of a discarded card is one use. The reason people misunderstand it is because "Echo" text cards are potentially infinite. For example Phantom Militia has "Echo" text in it, so Echo of the first Phantom Militia gives you another Echo, making it infinite. However Echo of a card that doesn't have "Echo" text in it is NOT infinite, because it doesn't give you another Echo, but is an Echo by itself.
Wow, this time most of the cards were very balanced, except I'd say the card stealing cat (too strong in later turns, an easy 3 for 1 if you get a minion) and the Hunter spell (4 mana for what would often be a Consecration or a Death and Decay, or a bad Swipe, is a bit too good and versatile, even if it will not always work). I think conjure would be a great addition to the game.
I disagree - all of these cards are either overpowered or poorly designed. Conjure is a highly snowbally mechanic, and as a result like Fledgling it's no fun to play against or with it. The warlock card has some disgusting combos and in general restricts the design space more than Glinda (edit: not as, it seems, the designer intended but as the way the video said it works - if it grants just 1 use it's great). The hand druid card is insane, especially in token hand druid (which is tier 2), and the mage card is way too versatile at almost no power cost, especially to elemental mage (also tier 2) and is also disgusting discovered out of primordial glyph in secret mage or with giants.
Codex somnum Yeah, and ragnaros is at least a little drawn back by not being able to target minions but just attacks randomly. Fireballing target minions would be sooo strong that its ridiculous ^^
I think Ragnarok is great because it basically has charge, not really because it doesn't take damage. Plus, all those minions have very low attack, making them easy to attack into. Usually Ragnarok is a pain to deal with when it gets resurrected again and again, if it didn't trigger on the first turn it would be much weaker. About the combos off of the warlock cards, I've tried to think about some but none truly ridiculous have come to mind. If you've thought of any, please share. The Mage Polybomb with giants would be little more than a Summon a Copy of a Minion effect, which it can already do for four mana. Sure, for six mana you'd get the effect twice, but also having to sacrifice two minions of yours and having previously placed in a way that is very weak to things like Meteor and Explosive Shot. Once the card is out, it would be quite easy to play around for your opponents, since, as meteor, it cares about positioning. (Thanks Jake for the ❤️, I can't wait for your next video)
As others said, it doesn't give a card echo, it gives you an echo of the card, meaning you only get 1 use of it, and it goes away at the end of your turn. Basically it's "Whoops, i didn't mean to discard that, can i spend 3 extra mana to play it"
its an "echo" as in a copy like if you used echo of medhiv, not echo as in the card flavor for cards like cheap shot, so you can only use the card once. The author on customHS said that.
For Soulweaver Khanix, I don’t think it meant “add a copy of the cards you discarded this game to your hand and give them Echo”, I think it means that it adds *the* echo of all the cards you discarded in the game - this means that it disappears at the end of the turn you play Soulweaver Khanix whether or not you play it.
0:39 no, that is not at all what it does. It adds an echo of that card (meaning one of those blue copies that disappears after a turn). *IT DOES NOT GIVE THE CARD ECHO*.
Garrett Liu thats a much greater idea! The fact that you get free fireballs every turn that can kill your opponents minions does seem too op but this kind of value conjure seems much more balanced ^^
The void portal would be something not only that would fix warlock and make it playable, but i would make it also really fun. Probably a condition is needed for the start of the game, just so that its not that strong!
Jake, please pin this so that people stop commenting about it. Soulweaver Khanix makes copies of cards that disappear at the end of your turn like used Echo cards do. The copies are NOT given Echo themselves. When used, they do NOT return to your hand. This has been explicitly confirmed by the creator of the card. So no, you can't get a The Coin or a Soulfire with Echo (just yet, anyway).
Proof: www.reddit.com/r/customhearthstone/comments/8q0y44/my_cards_they_return_to_me/?st=jjdp4kxo&sh=46b85d83 Two quotes from the card's creator: "This is a slightly different way of approaching the Echo mechanic, mostly focusing on the fact that it is removed at the end of your turn. Most of the cards that you will discard, won’t have Echo on themselves, and therefore wouldn’t keep being added to your hand, so basically a one time use. An Echo is simply the “ghostly” cards that are added to your hand, which also happens when you play ordinary Echo cards." "The current Echo description is kinda misleading, as it's not repeatable, if the echo happens to go away, for any reasons really. In actuality, Echo would as a whole make more sense if it said "Add a copy of this to your hand, that dissapears at the end of the turn"."
What i see as a plus point for Void Portal is that it takes up another slot on the board. With that and the quest portal, you can not fill the board as much. If you add a giant wich cost less for each discarded card or something, i'd play discard warlock again
The final card would actually be really cool for a new gameplay style for Warlock. I'd absolutely love to see that as a new-age C'Thun-esque mechanic for Warlock.
I’m a 100% control hunter player and I can say Lunar shot would make my current version of the deck utterly broken trust me, I know. Been playing control hunter since GvG and am currently on deck version 874
Only reason Mr Biggleworth won’t be added is because he is actually already In the game. In the ancient days of hearthstone, long before Reno, Wild, and Cubelock. There was the PVE adventure called, Naxxaramas. The Final Boss, Kel’Thuzzad, has an Easter egg, where if you play Animal Companion, it would summon Mr Bigglesworth a 1 mana 1/1 beast. Every time. Call of the wild Summons all animal companions, and mr bigglesworth. As for the other animal companion card, I wonder if it summons Mr B.
Polybomb would be a good card, because your positioning is Hella important. Playing the bad/low stats minion in the middle might be good against meteor but bad against Polybomb... Those mindgames would be interesting
Everyone is talking about the "infinite damage" with Soulweaver. It doesn't say "add a copy with Echo", it just says "Add an Echo". Meaning that you get no infinite value, and any cards you don't play go at the end of the turn.
What about playing around with differences between deck sizes or health totals. Example: Flashback: If your deck has fewer remaining cards than your opponent, discover a card that you have played this game and place it on the top of (or shuffle it into) your deck.
Soulweaver Khanix may be too OP depending on how discard works with echo cards. I notice that cards usually don't echo to your hand until after they are played. If discard echo can't proc on it's own echoes Soulfire could inflict 26 damage turn 10 without spellpower boost, which is too OP to be printed. Edit: Nvm, didn't see that the cards were only echoes, as opposed to being echoes that also have the echo text added to them.
Soulweaver Khanix works differently than you said. You should read it as "Battlecry: add all cards you have discarded this game to your hand. Remove them at the end of your turn"
Cindy Nephestula mechanic could actually be really good and make discard warlock viable Also I have a question about the void portal: if you discard Clutchmother Zavas, will it go back to your hand as well as going into the Void Portal?
Pretty sure Khanix was supposed to give you an echo of the card in that it gives you a copy to play that will go away at the end of the turn- Not giving you a copy of the card with echo. Still, an awesome card! :D
How have you not seen bewitched guardian, i mean hardly anyone plays hand druid tbh but when i do I play at least 3 because i get them off "out of my jungle" and its a great card
Does anybody know how i can make a costume quest? don't know how to connect it with the Rewardcard so you can see them both when you click the Questcard
Ancient whispers is a joke right? It's either 2 mana do nothing. Or 2 mana lose card advantage. (You played raven idol but your opponent gets a copy of that card). And it doesn't even combo with Lorewalker. You give your opponent two cards (and you lose one). If he has enough hand space, not only did you play a 0/4, but you also threw away a card. If he needs to clear up hand space. You wasted tempo and mana on lorewalker cho AND, you gave your opponent the choice of choosing the card most advantageous for him. How is this good at all?
Blizzard should make a new set that's exclusively fan cards, if we had all of these discard warlock might actually work, heck we might even have brand new decks. I love it when cards shake up the meta.
I think all of you misunderstood khanix, the cards he adds to your hand ARE echoes, not that they HAVE echo, as such they're cards you have to play this turn, but they themselves once played don't give copies to themselves
zavas would not keep her stats. shes being added to the hand as a new card. ud just get a hand of 2/2 bugs equal to the amount of times uve discarded it.
there's a huge difference between "add AN echo to your hand" and "add a copy WITH echo" to your hand. Unless the card already has echo then the echo added will not magically gain the echo ability. Try it with Glinda. Play her, play a low cost minion, kill her with the echo'd minion in your hand and the echo of that minion will lose echo (as in, you can play it 1 more time and you will not receive another echo)
I've seen bewitched guardian twice in a game... on casual that i entered to not shit on peoples (and mine)ladder with a 21 spell mage to do the play spells quest... but I've seen it
Polybomb is a very well designed card. Forces better positioning to both you and your opponent, and maybe could encourage some more big mage plays. love that shit mang
First card is broken, you just need to discard soulfire ..besides thats and efect for a bigger card. Gnarlroot makes you mill a card Polybomb is a strictly WORST Molten reflection. And fucks yo the idea of playing around meteor Lunar shot looks good actually. But it is a good board clear for hunter so i don't know. That mecánic sounds awsome
I hate how Trump who has a bigger subscriber base is now doing this type of video on his channel. It’s not technically stealing. I enjoy your videos a whole lot. Love this series too.
But he doesn't actually do the top cards of the week like Trump (which are actually the top cards of the week as posted on r/hearthstone every Saturday). Jake hand picks random cards. Gnarlroot was from weeks ago.
TheNewyorkdragon if someone would have to have a completely new idea for it to be okay then no one would make anything that would be okay. Multiple people doing the same or similar things is a good thing. IT GIVES US THE VIEWERS OPTIONS! Do you like Trump's way more or do you like Famous Jake's way more?
I don't really think it will take away from Jake's views. I think that this very subject has quite a small following to it which is why he isn't as popular as other Hearthstone UA-camrs. And there is the possibility that since Trump has more viewers that him shining light on the subreddit and the custom Hearthstone card stuff that more people will end up seeing Jake's stuff as well since the subject is the same and most likely he will end up showing up in more peoples side panels. I am not saying he won't lose views, it might happen I don't know. I just don't see it being a problem for Jake. I think in the long run it will be beneficial. Makes more people possibly interested in custom cards, could bring in more people that make custom cards and as a result more viewers.
I saw Famous Jake's stuff in the first place because I watch Diguised Toast once in a while and Trump once in a while. I am not subbed to any of them I kind of just watch their stuff if it appears in my trending page or side panel.
I have idea. *Spy* - This minion is played on enemy side of the board. You can have combos like: *deathratle* deal 2 dmg to all minions on this minion's side of the board.
Soulweaver Khanix makes copies of cards that disappear at the end of your turn like used Echo cards do. The copies are NOT given Echo themselves. When used, they do NOT return to your hand. This has been explicitly confirmed by the creator of the card.
‘Add an Echo of all cards you have discarded this game to your hand’ Andrew, do you have proof that the creator confirmed it, because that sure as hell isnt what the description says

or U, kept sounding like he was saying bugglesworth. i know its minor but i admit it triggered me a little when he was pronouncing the name with the wrong vowel EVERY time
Love the concept for Conjure

Yeah, just what the Mage class needed- *another* fucking way to get 4 Sorcerer's Apprentices on the field for the Archmage/Fireball combo.

soulweaver khanix discard coin, discard any damage spell, infinite damage combo
Your boi shhhhh
Has to be discarded minions then.
It's an Echo, not a version with Echo.
Basically, it's not infinite value, and the cards go away at the end of the turn.
Drew Armstrong, The Glorious Lobster Emperor it doesnt need more than one turn, just coin for mana do damage to face and repeat. 3 mana otk.

conjure minions OP why ragnaros is op is that ragnaros can attack without taking dmg making him easy snowball card

its still insane though because you get infinite mana with coin
Garrett Liu what? No, you don't, as explained you get ONE copy, so you get ONE mana not infinite...
Echo has infinite copies....
its an "echo" as in a copy like if you used echo of medhiv, not echo as in the card flavor for cards like cheap shot, so you can only use the card once. The author on customHS said that.

Thanks for showing my card 'Ancient Whispers', and the great feedback! Can't wait for the next episode!
1 mana 1/3 priest "Mindbender" Conjure: Mind Vision
Garrett Liu thats a much greater idea! The fact that you get free fireballs every turn that can kill your opponents minions does seem too op but this kind of value conjure seems much more balanced ^^
Priest doesn't need another fucking 1mana 1/3 minion
Reframing it the fireball dude is worse than a 7 mana 6/7 that is immune when attacking, which probably wouldn't see play.
You have no idea how much I love this series
The void portal would be something not only that would fix warlock and make it playable, but i would make it also really fun. Probably a condition is needed for the start of the game, just so that its not that strong!
That conjure mechanic is insanely cool, and I would love to see something like it in the game.
Jake, please pin this so that people stop commenting about it.

Mr. Bigglesworth is already a card (Animal Companion vs Kel'Thuzad)
It has different text though
It doesn’t give the echoes echo. It means the copies disappear at the end of turn, like Valeera’s shadow
Damn, I love the Conjure idea!
That shade towards Trump was spicy.
5 stars
What i see as a plus point for Void Portal is that it takes up another slot on the board. With that and the quest portal, you can not fill the board as much. If you add a giant wich cost less for each discarded card or something, i'd play discard warlock again

I love the first one and polybomb seems interesting too
would spell damage work on conjure? I think it should, but that might make conjure too good
How will conjure work with secrets?
What about playing around with differences between deck sizes or health totals. Example: Flashback: If your deck has fewer remaining cards than your opponent, discover a card that you have played this game and place it on the top of (or shuffle it into) your deck.
Will uther death knight work in odd paladin?
I think Lunar shot is one of my favourite cards of all time
How OP would discolock be if you could choose the cards you discard
Soulweaver Khanix may be too OP depending on how discard works with echo cards. I notice that cards usually don't echo to your hand until after they are played. If discard echo can't proc on it's own echoes Soulfire could inflict 26 damage turn 10 without spellpower boost, which is too OP to be printed.

Soulweaver Khanix works differently than you said. You should read it as "Battlecry: add all cards you have discarded this game to your hand. Remove them at the end of your turn"
Can someone tell me where all those people get the cool pictures for their cards from?
Cindy Nephestula mechanic could actually be really good and make discard warlock viable
Also I have a question about the void portal: if you discard Clutchmother Zavas, will it go back to your hand as well as going into the Void Portal?
What if you discard soulweaver khanix?
Step 1: Discard one Mindy's apprentice.
Step 2: Find 2nd apprentice and fill your board with 2/2s every turn.
Step 3: Remove quest from deck
(sees notification about new video from the one and only Jake)
You know what time it is.
What if there was a card where you could choose a card to shuffle back into your deck, thinking this could work with the first custom card
Polybomb would be such a fun card tbh
What if conjure minions had 0 atk by default?
Pretty sure Khanix was supposed to give you an echo of the card in that it gives you a copy to play that will go away at the end of the turn- Not giving you a copy of the card with echo. Still, an awesome card! :D
Discard Warlock actually worked once, Night in Karazhan, I got up to 13 with it which is the best I ever got :(
You for some reason that first card's art looked a bit like Kripp.
How have you not seen bewitched guardian, i mean hardly anyone plays hand druid tbh but when i do I play at least 3 because i get them off "out of my jungle" and its a great card
Polybomb is essentially a broken combo card especially with the use of 0 cost followers XD
i love and appreciate you jake, you did great on this one 10/10 c:
While Khanix is cool, the last thing discard lock needs is more legendaries, it's already too expensive for a meme deck
Does anybody know how i can make a costume quest? don't know how to connect it with the Rewardcard so you can see them both when you click the Questcard
Hi, how can i send you some cards for you considering if they are good enough to appear in a video? Some kind of mail, link... Thanks
Isn't that 2 mana druid card just a worse curse of rafam?
I love this type of content!
How about a weapon that stays open on your opponents turn. It will damage minions that hit your face
Im pretty sure that the cat card is from naxxarams it's kelhuzads cat (don't really know how to spell his name)
the art works are much better than those on new arena cards
Why is no one talking about polybomb? It's unprintable with quest mage existing. reduces cards needed for combo to 3-4.
But how does conjure fireball work with Tess? And its bigglesworth not buggle
If you discard soulfire with Soulweaver Khanix it becomes 10 mana deal 28 damage
Did he say "shite card"? Lmao i love it
my question is poly bomb in ancient one turbo
Blizzard should make a new set that's exclusively fan cards, if we had all of these discard warlock might actually work, heck we might even have brand new decks. I love it when cards shake up the meta.
I think all of you misunderstood khanix, the cards he adds to your hand ARE echoes, not that they HAVE echo, as such they're cards you have to play this turn, but they themselves once played don't give copies to themselves

For Cindy Nephestula, it should require at least 5 discard cards.
Conjure sounds interesting.
Conjure needs to be a thing.
zavas would not keep her stats. shes being added to the hand as a new card. ud just get a hand of 2/2 bugs equal to the amount of times uve discarded it.
Gnarlroot is the balanced version of Dr. Boom.
That conjure dragon, and the give a friendly minion charge this turn 1 mana spell...
Omega lul, warrior now has fireball, 8 mana two card fire ball
Khanix is busted if you discarded soulfire. You could deal 28 damage for 10 mana
Conjure would Kick some butts
Pretty sure "add an echo" means ONE echo, not "add a copy WITH ECHO to your hand"
Good point, it's a bit unclear, but if it's an echo then it probably would echo anyway, letting you play multiple copies of the card
there's a huge difference between "add AN echo to your hand" and "add a copy WITH echo" to your hand. Unless the card already has echo then the echo added will not magically gain the echo ability. Try it with Glinda. Play her, play a low cost minion, kill her with the echo'd minion in your hand and the echo of that minion will lose echo (as in, you can play it 1 more time and you will not receive another echo)
illiji915 well in that case the card is really balanced and would be a fun addition to the game
Clutchmother zava will stay 2/2 as echo form...
I can see Soul Eater Khanix being very balanced if it was changed to Battlecry: Get *Echo* copies of all *minions* you have discarded this game
I've seen bewitched guardian twice in a game...
on casual that i entered to not shit on peoples (and mine)ladder with a 21 spell mage to do the play spells quest... but I've seen it
Are you kidding me? Polybomb is not fair at all.
Polybomb is a very well designed card. Forces better positioning to both you and your opponent, and maybe could encourage some more big mage plays. love that shit mang
Anty_ its too good though
That shot at Trump made me laugh my ass off.
lunar shot should only target minnions
0:40 two 8/8s for 7 mana.
So....Conjure works only with dmg spells
First card is broken, you just need to discard soulfire ..besides thats and efect for a bigger card.
Gnarlroot makes you mill a card
Polybomb is a strictly WORST Molten reflection. And fucks yo the idea of playing around meteor
Lunar shot looks good actually. But it is a good board clear for hunter so i don't know.
That mecánic sounds awsome
Boi, got me at lunch. Day is made ❤️
I hate how Trump who has a bigger subscriber base is now doing this type of video on his channel.
I am not subbed to any of them I kind of just watch their stuff if it appears in my trending page or side panel.
soulweaver Krippanix
Soulweaver khanix what if you discard coin
I have idea. *Spy* - This minion is played on enemy side of the board. You can have combos like: *deathratle* deal 2 dmg to all minions on this minion's side of the board.
stolen from gwent but I like the idea. 1 mana 1/1 spy deathrattle your opponent draws a card would be a nice one.
9:49 from *tho* Void Portal
Someone hasn’t seen Austin Powers. Mr. bugglesworth?
Soulweaver would get discarded itself
Card idea: discover a card and discard that card
Discard coin? Infinite mana.
Soulweaver Khanix makes copies of cards that disappear at the end of your turn like used Echo cards do. The copies are NOT given Echo themselves. When used, they do NOT return to your hand. This has been explicitly confirmed by the creator of the card.
Andrew Grottle the card has poor wording unfortunately then
‘Add an Echo of all cards you have discarded this game to your hand’
Andrew, do you have proof that the creator confirmed it, because that sure as hell isnt what the description says
Abdallah hakeem ahem: www.reddit.com/r/customhearthstone/comments/8q0y44/my_cards_they_return_to_me/?st=jjdp4kxo&sh=46b85d83
Two quotes from the card's creator:
"This is a slightly different way of approaching the Echo mechanic, mostly focusing on the fact that it is removed at the end of your turn. Most of the cards that you will discard, won’t have Echo on themselves, and therefore wouldn’t keep being added to your hand, so basically a one time use.
An Echo is simply the “ghostly” cards that are added to your hand, which also happens when you play ordinary Echo cards."
"The current Echo description is kinda misleading, as it's not repeatable, if the echo happens to go away, for any reasons really. In actuality, Echo would as a whole make more sense if it said "Add a copy of this to your hand, that dissapears at the end of the turn"."
That portal thing is great
#MakeDjscarsWarlockGreat(again?)
BIgglesworth. There is no O in that name!
or U, kept sounding like he was saying bugglesworth. i know its minor but i admit it triggered me a little when he was pronouncing the name with the wrong vowel EVERY time
Psssssh, I noticed that it was U but I was too lazy to change the comment after I posted it >~>!
