- The evil eye refers to the harm someone may encounter due to jealousy or envy towards others. It starts when the person likes a thing, then his evil feelings affect it, by means of his repeated looking at the object of his jealousy. The Prophet Muhammad SAWS encouraged his companions to recite Ruqyah, which is seeking protection in Allah in the way of reciting a compilation of ayahs and dua’s from the Quran. I just want to comment and say that Nazr (evil eye) does not just come from those with evil intent, it can come from people who are just "normal" this is why we should always recite protection
Yes, that's why we have to recite Surah al-Falaq for every Subuh prayer and before gng to bed.
you know you can even cast evil eye on yourself, that's why there is a dua that should be recited if you are checking yourself in the mirror or something like that.

Wait, is not evil eye in arabic Ayn and not nazr? Nazr means something else which is not Ayn at all. Also the one who look or see does not mean he/she has evil eyes. Those who do evil eye, really mean or intent or even wish bad for the one he or she is looking at.

The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “ *If one of you sees something in himself or his wealth or his brother that he likes, let him pray for blessing (barakah) for it, for the evil eye is real* ” (Narrated by Ibn as-Sunni in ‘Amal al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah, p. 168; al-Hakim, 4/216; classed as sahih by al-Albani in al-Kalim at-Tayyib, 243.)
Always say “Allahumma Barek” or “TabarakAllah” when you see someone else have a blessing. And always say “ma sha Allah” when you find yourself with a blessing and are happy for it.

Whenver i post a picture of me and my family on social media, next day one of us fall sick. So now i have stopped posting pictures on IG. MashaAllah now we are protected from evil eyes and we enjoy keeping our happiness to ourselves instead of showing our wow moments to others. Alhamdulila ❤

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The evil eye is real and if anything were to overtake the divine decree, it would be the evil eye. When you are asked to take a bath (to provide a cure) from the influence of the evil eye, you should take a bath.” (Narrated by Muslim. Al-Nasaa’i and Ibn Maajah).
The Prophet ﷺ said,
“Majority of people who die from my ummah after the decree of Allaah and His Qadr is due to the evil eye”. (Declared Hasan by al Albaani)

@@ayesrobo if someone praises you or compliments you, if they forget to say it you most make them remember to say Allahumma barik, because Allahumma barik is sunnah and Allahumma barik means May Allah bless you. People these days are jealous over other people because they dont have the blessings of what the other people have, this is very dangerous. Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Envy consumes good deeds just as fire burns wood. Charity extinguishes sinful deeds just as water extinguishes fire. Prayer is the light of the believer and fasting is his shield from the Hellfire.”

Its actually Sunnah to say Barakallahu lak/fiihi for others and Ma shaa Allah for blessings we see in our selves/our wives and children
Refer to Surah Kahf when the man enters "his" garden. "وإذ ذخلت جنتك قلت ما شاءالله"

The reply to a compliment should be a dua which translates to "May Allah not call me to account for what they say, forgive me for what they have no knowledge of and make me better than they imagine. AMIN"

Not only is it available to every weirdo but also to every one with an eye that hits everything i.e the envier wishing what they PERCIEVE you have would be theirs.Not just appearance instead it could be a car ,your cooking or the food your post, your travels,your spouse, your friendships,your child and most of it is perception subhaanaAllah because we only want to post the best and then become shocked when it attracts unhealthy attention.
There are others who do not intend evil but their gaze and heart desires what you have , perhaps this is more common.
People will scan and admire every inch of you and what you post even the words you compile boasting of something.Shut all avenues to protect yourselves instead of the contrary which social media encourages.

Please pray for me and my family. I have some family members who have been practising black magic on us for more than a decade now. We are so tired and we pray a lot. Recently everything cleared up after some time, Alhumdulillah, Allah heard our prayers as one of the lady who was thought to be involved in those practices passed away. Now there 2 more people still trying on us and we know with the help of Allah, Alhumdulillah, but they are not stopping, its been so long now. Please pray for us, this all is so sad to know and tiring to deal with and disgusting at the same time.😢

I used to get complimented on how beautiful my hands and nails are until I developed a chronic skin condition on my hands that not only put me in excruciating pain 24/7, but it also made my nails grow abnormally. I have to hide them from how hideous they are. Alhamdulilah, all I can do is pray Allah heals me because nothing and no one else can
Perform ruqyah upon yourself. Recite qur'an over some water. Fatiha ikhlas, falaq, nas, ayatul kursi, the last 2 ayat of baqarah.. and if you want or know other verses to use go ahead and use them. And recite over some water that u can use to wash yourself and drink from... and be patient and keep doing that. It may take some time. But InShaAllah allah will grant your relief.... and this is assuming u are performing all obligatory acts. And if your aren't, then make tawbah. And apologize to Allah. Allah is ghafoor and Rahim. I also desperately need to do this for myself but I haven't been consistent in it. So plz don't be like me... make ur ruqyah water and use it everyday and don't give up. And make du'a.. Allah has power over all things.
It is relatable to me too. I used to get complimented for my hands and feet as my skin used to be shiny, smooth and i used to have long and healthy fingers. Once, when i met my relatives on one occasion a few years back, they were eyeing me so much. It was the day and till now i lost so much weight due to depression and developed a skin disease so now all my feet and hands are bony and slim and i have Black spots on them. It really hurts to see what i was before and what i have become now.

Same happened with me and it ruined my life. Evil eye and black magic is something which is very real that even our beloved prophet have to face. I was very healthy, good at studies(i even got the highest marks in my school) and i wore good clothes(my parents have a good taste and always taught me to appear clean and presentable) so a lot of relatives used to see it. They were seeing me since I was a child and i know they had good intentions(evil eye/Nazar can be unintentional too) but once when i graduated from school and saw my relatives on Eid, i was looking very good and they were eyeing so much. From that day everything started to crumble, i got depression, i lost so much weight, i couldn't eat, i was sad all the time, i couldn't even complete my college and have no taken degree and the worst thing which happened to me is that i developed ocd and it was Germ ocd, even doing basic natural calls like peeing and going to the toilet is hard for me and i cry to Allah to cure that all the time. I really hope that Allah will help me and my mental and physical health get even better than it was before.

Guys we cannot stop socialising so we need to maintain our morning and evening adhkar also bed time ritual of Prophet pbuh. For Ruqya and adhkar to work it is important that we read the translation and believe in what we are reading and do not read it negligently just for the sake of it..

Allah says in a beautiful hadith qudsi:
"O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam,
were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its.” (Tirmidhi)
Finally Allah says:
“Remember Allah during times of ease and He will remember you during times of difficulty” (Tirmidhi)

i once read somewhere that “You never know how strong is Ayatul Kursi and how much it protects You” , and i think that’s so true
A 'udhu bi kalimaati llahi taammaat min kulli shaytanin wahhamah wa min kulli ain laamah
That's a dua u can read often to protect yourself from the evil eye.

My mom had this one friend whom always complimented me and my sister, mostly my sister. One day, my mom, her friend, my sister and i all went out shopping and before we went out, my moms friend was telling my mom abt how pretty and cute my sister was. So while were there, all of the sudden, my sister runs into a metal bar and cuts her forehead open to the point where it started bleeding everywhere. Ambulance was called and all that. And this wasnt the first time anything happened whenever she compliments us. But this just to show that not everyone seems who they seem to be. And ALWAYS be careful and when you compliment someone, always say ‘Mashallah’.
Start and end your day off with Aytal Kursi , your Quls & duas for protection . Alhamdulillah - this is the best thing you can do . Also minimize sharing your private life with most people . Place your trust in Allah and know that nothing harmful can befall you accept by the decree of Allah
I used to go to a mixed elementary school and middle school were all girls but we had male teachers or the security guards will come unannounced so I wore my hijab constantly until I moved to a all girls school so everyone took off their hijab and it was the first time people saw my hair it was thick bouncy long healthy very rare color after couple of months my hair fall off I developed a scalp condition I went to so many doctors they couldn't cure me still suffering from this after 8 years 😭😭😭 I tried everything ... plus I rarely got acne and my lashes were long but after that I got really bad painful acne and my lashes are never the same

i always had thick healthy long hair that never got frizzy even in humid environments and people were always talking about it,years after it got damaged due to chlorine (swimming lessons) and got really dead and broke by itself,after that i had to cut it to grow it healthier back,and when i did i got pcos and lost a lot of hair,it became really thin and then i had to cut it again and to this day my hair doesnt grow as fast as it used to,is not as thicker and not as healthy or pretty as it was

I always feel at risk of getting an evil eye whenever i come back to my home country 😭😭. Jealousy is real and can even come between you and some family members

My mom has a skin issue in her legs. Whenever it gets slightly better. Her in-laws (my aunt) will come and be like, " wow, looks like you're all healed" . And it gets really bad for the next couple of weeks... It's really a circle going on...
In this case she needs to make it a habit of reciting the protective adhkar daily and especially before their arrival .
Reciting morning and evening adhkar is the best , it protects you the whole day and may Allah guide that aunt or such people 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Once in class, a "friend" casually remarked "you have very pretty lips" and I kid you not, right then as I opened my pencil case, a fly of some sort flew out and bit my upper lip. I'm not exaggerating this even a bit. Right after she said that, a fly I'd never seen enter my pencil case, flew out and bit me at the exact moment of her saying that. To top this off, she really hated me for some reason and always tried to bully me into being alone, so maybe it was that hatred.

My mother said an aunt who is now feeling lifeless having two mentally sick grown up daughters, , once these ladies were the smartest talented and the most beautiful young graduated girls. They knew everything. They were earning high salaries. All the parents wished to hsve daughters like them. And then suddenly both of them fell sick and now suffering mentally. They cant even eat their meal properly without the mothers support. The mother has to take care of them like nursery kids. This is because of too much evil eyes effected on them my mom sats. So sad.

I look back at pictures when I was 2/3 years old, I had thick hair, clear fair skin and big eyes, ik i shouldnt say this about myself but my childhood pictures look a like a doll. But gradually i lost my original skin color, badly got skin burned under the sun, my eyes are sunken now with dark circles, as a teenager every where people would tell me i had beautiful hair, it was thick and silky but now I suffer from severe hair loss. I once used to have nice clear skin but now my skin is damaged as well...evil eye is real sisters, please protect yourselves before it's to late..Even now when I am suffering from severe hair loss and i dont take of my hair anymore like i used people still told me how pretty my hair is but Alhamdulillah i cover my hair now

I was sick for almost a week plus.. though I took meds but at the same time I’ve to do rukyah on myself.. Alhamdulillah am well now.. nowadays I try to limit my communication or socialization with orhers..

Its interesting, however, that the concept of evil eye is present among many religions and cultures. In hinduism we have 'buri nazar', in Christianity they have hexes and curses and so on. Maybe there is some truth to it after all.

I'm not religious, but I believe in the evil eye. When I speak something good out loud about good things happening to me, it automatically gets destroyed. I noticed I only speak it to my family, who aren't really nice to me. I get so excited to tell them, and now I know I have to stay silent. There is good and bad in this world, and my family is on the bad side. I believe I'm on the good side.

As a revert this is a very strange concept to me. Isn’t Allah SWT the most powerful? If he has a plan and someone does black magic to ruin that plan he created wouldn’t he just stop it? Allah is the most powerful over all things I thought.

He is still the most powerful because nothing happens except for that he allows it to so if someone does evil eye, Allah still knew this would happen and allowed it to happen, and he is the All-wise. As you know, people do evil things all the time because they have free will, so even if Allah allows it to happen, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you, because there are consequences for both of you. For the one that does it, he will get punished for it if he did it intentionally and did not repent and asked you to forgive them. And for the afflicted one, they get even closer to Allah by asking him for his help and cure and by reciting more Quran and engaging in prayer to protect them, you know? So it still makes perfect sense. In this context, my beloved sister, remember that this life is full of trials and evil doings because this life is meant to be a test and not paradise, that’s what we have jannah for :). May Allah grant us all Jannatul Firdaus (the highest heaven). Always stay firm in your belief in Allah and you’ll be able to overcome every trial with his help. May Allah protect you and your family
It's part of the test unfortunately if some evil person wants to do it , it will work by the will of Allah but as part of your test on dunya. Almost like an obstacle.

What can we recite?
Ayath Al Kursi, Qul Huwa Allah ahad, The muawidatain (Qul audu bi rabbil Falaq & rabbil naas). That should be enough protection to keep one safe.
Ayathul Kursi, best to recite after every single fardh Salah, so that is,. Fajr, duhr, Asr, maghrib, and Isha.
The 3 Quls (Surah Al Ikhlas, Falaq and Naas) to be recited three times each, at morning and evening.

This Dua was done by Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH)

Translation: O Allah! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.
If you're asking about Ruqyah (for treatment, by the will of Allah):
“Put your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain and say ‘Bismillah (in the name of Allah) 3 times, then say 7 times, ‘A’udhu bi ‘izzat-illah wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajid wa uhadhir (I seek refuge in the glory and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and worry about).”

No because it’s Mentioned in the Quran..Allah warns us about it and provided us with Surahs that protect us from it

That one is shirk
The evil eye we're talking about here is borne by jealousy or envy and is very harmful
Which is why our prophet warned us about it

My cousin when he was a child learned to walk pretty fast tbarkallah and a woman told my aunt “wow he walking and he is so young” … he broke his leg 3 days later and he was like less than one. I’m learning now and realizing how strong the words of Allah are for protection

My family's muslim but my mom believes that the evil eye thing is good and she had one in the living room even though I told her multiple times to get it off because it's bad and she said no. Evil eye DOES exist. When I was a young girl, before putting on hijab, I had a silky long perfect hair. People used to look and sometimes even touch my hair, none said mashaAllah or tabaraka Allah. Now, I'm in my mid twentie, I always avoid looking in the mirror cause every time I see my hair I cry💔 without mentioning my fair white face that is full with flaws despite the huge amount of money that I've spent on medications, creams, etc.
Read and listen surat albaqara all the time
This happened to me when I was little I’ve had beautiful teeth and i said Wich teeth is prettier then my friend said wow 🤩 urs are sooo pretty and I said thank uuu but the night that I was sleeping in the morning my teeth fell of one by one every year and now I’m heartbroken 💔 cuz my teeth are gone… pray for me pls😕😞 I’m just a kid😔
