I’ve got a 13 ultra glide and the ignition is stuck will not turn freely and the bars are in the locked position. I’m having a hard time trying to free up the ignition. Any help or links would be deeply appreciated. I don’t have the funds to go to the dealer at the moment . And have used your channel for other repairs . Thanks in advance for any help

I’ve seen about 3 of your videos and not one is a CVO. I have a 16 CVO Street Glide and it doesn’t have that tab. It’s also a 2 position switch not 3. Any help would be appreciated.
Can you have the ignition switch re keyed on a 2007 roadglide. 1set was on my belt loop and it fell off . Someone picked them up so I have a set floating around town ?
could you advise how to do this on a CVO. My switch doesn’t go that far to the left. Also can’t find a button on the switch. Any advice? This is on a 2020 Street Glide CVO

Hey Ryan, great video as always! Is there a way to break down the ignition cover more? I'm in the process of blacking out my 2017 Road Glide Special. I have been taking most of the pieces to a local powder-coater. With the heat I dont want to put the whole ignition in the oven after it gets painted. Any thoughts?
I figured it out, if you remove the sticker that indicates what position the ignition is in there is a tork screw! I recommend removing the switch from the ignition Pryor to removing the screw. It caused the components in the ignition to come out of alignment.
Great Video. My '07 RK Classic ignition switch has some play in it. Turn on and no juice. Wiggleback and forth & she powers up. Any ideas what might be the cause? Do I need to replace the switch ? Tighten something underneath ? Very grateful for any experienced suggestions. Thx in advance...

I did my handlebars and ended up messing up the Ignition and redoing it several times. Now my ignition is somewhat "stiff" or has resistance when turning the ignotion to run/acc/off. Can you elaborate what I should do to get this fixed? 2020 street glide. Much respect!

This happened to me, I had to open up the ignition itself. It was a little tricky but I figured out I pushed the switch in too far. I was able to realign each section and it works fine
I tried this and the new one stuck in the fork lock position. Took me hours to get it back off and the original one back on. Gonna go to the service department and fork out money to have it changed. I'm just not mechanical. Videos like this make it look straight forward but as usual with me there is always a problem. 😠

Forks are in lock position and can't unlock them 🤯 called several Harley shops no one has ever heard of ths happening? Although I have just watched several videos of it happening to other riders? 😳 any ideas?💡

I lost my key to my 2011 street glide. The ignition was in the unlock position, so I’m still able to ride. I want to replace the ignition how would I pop the old one out without the key to turn it back ?
HI , I watched this buy I'm really stuck, I can not turn the fork lock mechanism and did not realise it was not broken til I got home from work today. I have the 2017 FLHTK and I cant actually get the ignition switch back in and I am not able to turn the fork lock key in ANY way even if the switch is take right out and I hold the button and try to turn the fork lock barrel. The fork lock notch is all the way to the left and even past that so I cant actually get my key into it properly either. So now I cant get my ignition key back on either, when I do its not locking into each individual spot and I can sometimes turn it but not start the bike in anyway ....HELP!!!
I just bought a Softail Deluxe and the guy lost the key. Not only did the previous owner lose the key but he just let this bike did all kinds of neglected. So for the past week I've been putting all kinds of work into it to get it back to Showroom Shine. And the process all this one of the things I needed to do was to get a key. Harley wants me to come out there today to show them the bike so that they can write down the VIN number. Then they said bring in the registration and two days when it comes in the mail and they can verify it then go back they can order the key. Then go back again and pick up the key. And don't get me wrong I like the ride but I don't like riding back and forth to a dealership for dumb shit

97 ultra classic just died, have radio, no lights but have half dash lights, could it e the ignition switch? When i turn switch dooes not click on ignition, please help...
Ooooooh man. Always hate hearing bikers having problems like this.......It would be sooooo hard for us to diagnose over email/text.......we'd have to be there to test wires, troubleshoot etc......Really brother.....patience and testing is the only way

I lost my key to my 2011 street glide. The ignition was in the unlock position, so I’m still able to ride. I want to replace the ignition how would I pop the old one out without the key to turn it back ?

Can the ignition switch be relocated on a 14 street glide?
I don't see why not. I think it would be a huge undertaking though.
So why not show the complete removal of the switch?
I would call this the Ign Switch lock, the switch is below.
HI , I watched this buy I'm really stuck, I can not turn the fork lock mechanism and did not realise it was not broken til I got home from work today. I have the 2017 FLHTK and I cant actually get the ignition switch back in and I am not able to turn the fork lock key in ANY way even if the switch is take right out and I hold the button and try to turn the fork lock barrel. The fork lock notch is all the way to the left and even past that so I cant actually get my key into it properly either. So now I cant get my ignition key back on either, when I do its not locking into each individual spot and I can sometimes turn it but not start the bike in anyway ....HELP!!!
I just bought a Softail Deluxe and the guy lost the key. Not only did the previous owner lose the key but he just let this bike did all kinds of neglected. So for the past week I've been putting all kinds of work into it to get it back to Showroom Shine. And the process all this one of the things I needed to do was to get a key. Harley wants me to come out there today to show them the bike so that they can write down the VIN number. Then they said bring in the registration and two days when it comes in the mail and they can verify it then go back they can order the key. Then go back again and pick up the key. And don't get me wrong I like the ride but I don't like riding back and forth to a dealership for dumb shit
Where can I buy the spring under the ignition switch
I'm not sure where you can find it on line. I'd recommend contacting your local HD dealer.

I put ignition switch back on without putting in the spring in now I can't get the ignition off to put the spring back in can you help
Sounds jammed now. Sucks. No easy way

How can I remove it if the key is lost?
Not sure, I'd recommend contacting your local HD dealer and getting a new key made.

97 ultra classic just died, have radio, no lights but have half dash lights, could it e the ignition switch? When i turn switch dooes not click on ignition, please help...
Ooooooh man. Always hate hearing bikers having problems like this.......It would be sooooo hard for us to diagnose over email/text.......we'd have to be there to test wires, troubleshoot etc......Really brother.....patience and testing is the only way
Did you get it fixed? What was the issue. I hear lots of loose battery connections with electric problems.
