AWWW LUCIFER IS SO ADORABLE!!! UGH that song really hit the feels The duet with Charlie was a masterpiece how beautiful and perfect their voices fit together.
Ok.... we know that Charlie's mom (lilith) has been missing for 7 years. That's the same amount of time Alastor went gone. When Husk told that Alastor is also on a leash, i think he meant Lilith's leash. That's why he is on the hotel, under lilith order
Just to clarify, Lucifer has the power to easily destroy any of the demons (Alastor included) in Hell, he's the most powerful being there. The only thing holding him back is his decision not to do that.
Depressed by his own failures, he kept his daughter at a distance. When she reaches out to him years later, he at first tries to buy her affection only to learn that all she ever wanted from him was to know who he was, which was what he was most terrified to show her. Simply beautiful writing.
I love that they portrayed Lucifer as a broken , but undeniably loving father , and not a power-tripping deadbeat who doesn’t care at all . We can clearly see who Charlie takes after in the personality department , now it all makes sense as to why she’s just so kind-hearted
He didn’t have to be power-tripping, but I feel like they needed to have him make an impact to show how he rules hell. Like at least one scene to show how demons respect him enough to have him as the ruler of hell.
Well he is very absent as far as I know in the sense that he just leaves hell to itself because he's depresso and doesn't want to be stuck there. The Demons also don't really need to respect him because he's an archangel. He is literally the strongest being we see in the show@@uh4875
@@uh4875I think his first verses in the song were solidifying that. Lines like "cause I'm the ref" or "Big Boss of hell himself". Then Mimzies's and SirPentious's reactions did show respect too.
yes!!! he has issues and can cause issues but he's still really likable. no hate to helluva, but i was so worried this show would also resort to the same sort of cheap daddy issue conflicts by making the dad a heartless monster. no, lucifer is a lovable guy here and is genuinely trying to build a closer relationship with charlie. such a fun character.
Small bit of lore: In the Hazbin universe Lucifer is also one of the Seven Deadly Sins he is the sin of pride. As Lucifer is a dreamer and creator he is proud of his creations. Most of all Charlie.
@@CrownofMischief i think the ducks are building a good contrast for who Lucifer used to be. Lucifer used to be a dreamer he had these fantastical ideas of a Planet sized Seraph Duck (?). But now he is a bit of a Has-been and while he can still create... his trauma, depression and self doubt left him without dreams so now he spends his entire day creating boring ducks that he feels no pride in.
@@wavemoon Oh man, now I'm stuck on the idea that a duck was the last thing he made that he was proud of because it made Charlie happy and now he's fixated on it
Honestly love Lucifer when he's like disgusted at something this episode. He like tries for a bit to not show it (other than with alastor) but it turns so obvious, like when he looked around the hotel lol
I am so glad they made Lucifer such a caring dad. Sure he's kind of a doofus who isn't exactly good at this, but he is legit trying and does truly love Charlie. Also Hearing Alastor use profanity is GOLD. That’s how you know he’s really upset because nobody really gets to him.
He's trying better than Lilith she didn't even contacted charlie at least Lucifer contacts her and seeing ''more than anything'' charlie's part it seems Lilith wanted them apart
You'd guess Charlie took her singing skills from Lilith but it was Lucifer all along Such an angelic voice (literally) More than anything has become my favourite song of the series
Have you noticed when Lucifer was hugging Charlie, Alastor looks annoyed since his eye was twitching. Also, Alastor feels different during this episode because usually he is calm but when Lucifer was near Charlie, he becomes angrier. Something feels odd about that.
Nobody out here talking about Lucifer playing a golden Violin. Literally pulled out the Golden Fiddle he loses to Johnny in the Devil went down to Georgia!
Lucifer Morningstar was finally here. "More than anything" This Song by Lucifer and his daughter Charlie brought me and my sister to tears from yesterday until now.
Duck daddy best daddy. I love the choice to make Lucifer a sorta jaded failed Charlie. He's been through it already and it broke him so he feared the same thing would happen to his daughter.
When the Angel mentioned Charlie and her helborn kind were given a pardon from the extermination, coupled with the part of Lucifer's song where angelic weapons are pointed at Charlie, it implies Lucifer really did try to better Hell at one point but when the Angels decided it was growing too strong and would do the extermination all he could do was get those born in Hell immunity so he could protect Charlie.
@@JamiUwULucifer Morningstar was finally here. "More than anything" This Song by Lucifer and his daughter Charlie brought me and my sister to tears from yesterday until now.

One theory about Lucifer, sin of pride and king of Hell, has ADHD/Autism, since he's socially awkward, forgets certain details, and is hyperfocused on one thing, in that case being ducks. Also, because he's seen by other angels as a troublemaker.
Fun fact: Lucifer and Vaggie are normal heights of the average human it’s just that hellborn and sinners are unnaturally tall For example Zestial would be 10 feet tall

@@Jake_Da_Dawg "When he came across this young man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot, and the devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said, 'boy let me tell you what'"
I think it's cause Val is mostly physically abusive where as Alastor is...well I'm not sure what to declare his type of abuse. He is the type to pretend to be a friend and then stab you in the back at some point.
Because Valentino has far too many real world connotations. Being presented as an abusive pimp made him hated from day 1. And with Alastor, he has that Ted Bundy charm. People who get suckered in by that ol' timey Louisiana boy act don't see he's a monster until its too late.
