Great reaction Britt to 11 Angie. She's done this song several times and they're all amazing and different. Make sure to react to each of them over time and remember that Angelina never sings a song the same way twice. So they'll all be 1st time reactions. 🙂👍❤
Angelina can sing any genre of music in any age,and this cover is so good, and as you say earlier,...Angelina can do country, rock, jazz blues album, and it will be great, even disco edm music, like above the water,so good, that you not have react to yet, thanks for continue react of Angelina, fan for many years
This is the first song that ever heard Angelina sing. That was three years ago.. I've listened to her almost every night since !! PS she has a version on Tik-Tok at 16 years old and it's superb....
*Want to help have UA-cam recommend Angelina to millions more people?* I now watch 2 videos per day from either Angelina's Official or Cover channel. I ensure that I like, post a new comment, and read, like, and reply when inspired. More angels participating is the most direct way we can support Angelina on UA-cam, who will then recommend her videos to millions more people. This still allows you ample time to watch your reactors, hopefully those who make the commitment to spread Angelina's message of love and empathy to the world. Peace and love.
Perfectly said Andy! We all should be following your lead to help Angelina, and any other young artist for that matter. It should be natural for the reactor to want to relay a message of artist support like this, but since that has not occurred, I am glad to see that you took the initiative to make the effort! 🙂
I do the same. And every reactor should be encouraging viewers to do the same for all of their featured artists. Music reaction channels would not exist without talented young vocalists, and the artists should get equal credit during reactions.
Angelina’s performances are crazy :-) She has sung this song at many occasions and each one unique. It is the typical jazz approach where the purpose seems to be that each performance should be unique. She has been hinting on exciting news coming soon and I can’t wait to find out what it is!
I love Patsy Kline’s cover of this Willie Nelson’s song, “Crazy”. I believe she was the first to record it. Willie’s start in music was as a songwriter. Also, Willie has been a fan of Texas Swing Music, or Western Swing (Bob Wells and the Texas Playboys, were well known for that country form of jazz - some people can’t imagine such a hybrid, but it’s well documented). Angelina Jordan is also great. She’s heading to the top, for sure.
I'm really enjoying your Angelina reactions, Britt. You bring so much to your reaction and share it with us, which is much appreciated. I do love these casual sessions where she is practising her craft with Egil Clausen and his curiously reverberant guitar. They are obviously having fun, and Angelina is always amazing even when just practising.
Crazy: Patsy Cline was interviewed about the song Crazy, and she stated that in the early 60s her career was going nowhere, and she was about to have her refrigerator repossessed when she heard that a song Willie Nelson gave her was going viral on all the country station. The song was CRAZY, and that song catapulted her to fame, as it did for Nelson. Patsy Cline's version of "Crazy" was great, but Angelina's version, at age 16, is over the moon, as always. AJ is the ultimate STORYTELLING vocalist of all time. If a complete version of Crazy by AJ was played on country stations, it would be number one. This proves my point that AJ can be number one in all genres, not just jazz.
She covered this song at the Kurbadhagen live concert as well. So you can listen to that to hear her adult voice. I think she was 16 or 17. That whole concert showed everyone just how much her voice has matured. She sounds fantastic live. She also did a cover of "You Don't Own Me" (Leslie Gore), "Love On The Brain" and a remarkable arrangement of Mount Everest (Labyrinth). The original Mount Everest has a rap style and she just turned the song into powerhouse statement. She is just very gifted.
This is one of the songs on Angelina's "It's Magic" album which she produced around this same age. This is great, just sitting and jamming at home. But you should hear the recorded version on her album, professionally done and accompanied by the Official Military Staff Band of Norway!
Angelina and Patsy have striking similarities. Patsy was one of the strongest and most confident woman singers in the industry. She could sing a song that was known to be the song of another artist and when she was finished it was her song, not because she tried to take it but because of her ingenious artistry in doing the song. Her loyalty, generosity and integrity to other artists was uncommon. Her vocal control and abilities are legendary. Her ability to deliver the emotions of the song with a quiver and cry in her voice was unmatched. She lived the song in her heart and mind when she sang it. Her music in the 50s and early 60s is timeless, just as relevant today as then. Same as Angelina.
I heard that, back in the day, Patsy and her band had a gig in a pub in Las Vegas, in the early hours. If I could go back in time, I would go to that pub at 1am and sit listening to her perform. Luckily, I have Angelina to listen to.
IMO, these at-home presentations (either to a track or with a single guitar on the first or second take) are part of the self-directed Angelina musical performance education program. She often slows the tempo (as you pointed out), reads the lyrics if necessary from her phone, has little to nothing to hide her vocal, tries out all the ornaments and effects that she hears in her head, and still delivers what few others can accomplish.
Ah, she is so good at this song. My favorite version of hers is the one from TikTok (copied to UA-cam) where she is playing her blue guitar. The level of country blues in it is sublime. Would be very interested in a comparison of several of her versions, please?
Me too, the short TikTok version is my favorite, even over Patsy's which has been my favorite version since it came out. But then there was Angelina. Willie Nelson's "cover" of this song that he originally composed for Patsy, is beautiful, as well.
I really love the many versions if this song from Angelina. It was written by Willie Nelson for Patsy & in an interview I saw a few years ago, Willie was talking about writing this song. Fun Fact: He said the original name was "Stupid" but fortunately he changed it to "Crazy" before it was recorded. Angelina's recent version on TikTok is my favorite version ever, by anyone.
It's one of her favorite songs. Here's a playlist of Angelina singing Crazy at 13 different occasions, including rehearsals: ua-cam.com/play/PLddfS789jBCpWtwXCtkqC1O0amGt0Bzcr.html
All of us Angels after a while take Angelina for granted because we expect and know she’s going to kill everything she sings. But she’s 11 here. Eleven years old. And we get her own version-Angelina phrasing, timing, and vibe for a song that we know is owned by Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson. This 11 year old gives us this classic in her own tempo, but she also has a few other versions that are different, but equally good. She re-defines any expectations of a child singer.
I always think Angelina purposely slows down some songs to be able to put more emphasis on the emotional side, not everyone can afford such variations but, Angelina, she's vocal enough to afford what she wants..pure talent! Thanks Britt, great review...Massimo🤩
Patsy Cline did her version in a recording studio with engineers Angelina did it in a room with a guitarist. in one take. How can you even compare the two?
You need to hear Angelina cover Rihannas song called "Love On The Brain" in July 2022 at Kurbadhegen live concert at age 16. I know there are 2 versions floating around and the one that is best is the one that the person taping it is facing to the right while she is on stage. The other one is facing left and there is lots of talking and other noises
Angelina takes on Willie Nelson's "Always on my Mind" ua-cam.com/video/dd8r7c-4-ks/v-deo.html Patsy actually slowed the pace of this (Willie Nelson song).. you aptly noticed a bit more from Angelina 👍🏻 Our Angel is fond of trying all genres of music.. and her mastery of music gives it a fresh makeover in the best of ways..The above link is a side of Angelina you have NEVER seen and NEVER EXPECTED... never. I've sent a few suggestions, but maybe I need to through a Patreon?? Regardless, your reaction to this one would be a FIRST and one of a kind sides of Angelina you've not experienced. Loving the mix of music genres you explore!!
It was slower than normal; that happens when you perform live with accompaniment and don't discuss who's going to lead. Normally, the musician sets the pace for the singer, but the guitarist didn't seem to know what the plan was. I don't know if it's in her range, but I would love to hear her perform "Blue", the way LeAnn Rimes did it.

Nope, can't do it. I've tried but I just can't get past the "carbon copiness" of her singing. Everything she sings sounds just like everything else that she sings. One trick pony. . . . .
Angelina's performance of Crazy at the 2018 Kongsberg Festival is my favourite version. Super jazzy and backed by a fabulous band.
absolutely
The new Patsy Cline of Angelina’s voice amazing great Vocal she sing this song of Tik Tok even better at 15 years old outstanding ❤from Switzerland 🇨🇭
She's crazy good!
Listen to the tiktok April 2022 version, now that is crazy!!

This may be the first time she ever sang this song, so her first interpretation. That happens in these after-school performances.

Angelina did Crazy in her concerts in Norway this past summer. 🙂
Great reaction and still waiting you reaction queen again

A great song by Willy Nelson
You need to react to Angelina Jordan her own song Oslo, she wrote it herself and sang it at 11 years old. I just now saw it and loved it. God bless
No one can cover Patsy like this sheer 'vocal chameleon' can.

Home free does great cover of this also. The male singer sings it in same key
I suspect Angelina’s extreme back phrasing can trick musicians to slow down XD
