Judging your first video, especially the interaction with locals on the train and outside, it seems, Kazakhs are warm people. That's absolutely a plus point for tourists.

It takes a bit of extra effort to break the ice with the Kazakh but once they open up, you'll be surprised by the warmth! Thanks so much for watching.

I ask you to read the history of this country 100-80 years ago. The Soviet Union sent different peoples from all over the empire to Kazakhstan to die, they were loaded into cattle cars and specially transported for a long time across the steppe and thrown out in the steppe in winter, but thanks to the Kazakhs many survived, the Kazakhs took home orphans, took whole families home. We are talking about more than a million people, this is a lot for those times

I’m an introvert myself, I’ve seen/heard you in another video describe yourself the same way, so I can’t even begin to express how much I admire what you do.
What has worked miracles for me is football, either going to attend matches, or just wearing a football shirt. It’s a fantastic ice-breaker. The other day, in Bishkek, I went to watch a game of the local top division, unknown among unknowns, and by halftime I was talking to four guys (who spotted me, a foreigner) with several others “eavesdropping”. You get invited out, given tips, and generally have a simply “ok” experience turn into a “memorable” experience, all thanks to sharing moments with… total strangers.
Anyway… Enjoy the rest of your time in Central Asia!

Its always about the people we meet, and the experiences we have with locals that we rarely find in a busy tourist location.

Thank you, Jeff! Dave would join some time in the Uzbekistan video. We were together for 4 weeks when I was in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The nature of his profession makes it a bit challenging to film with me whenever but we try to always be together.

Greetings from Bahrain...you inspire me. Are there local day tour agencies in kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as it quite daunting to cover all important sights for a solo traveller. Many thanks

I enjoyed watching your travel video. But I personally think that travelling in Indian railways will give your better expereinces though the trains , at least most of them are very crowded. Try trvelling on the newere High Speeed trains like the Vhande Bharatn from Delhi to any part of the country. You'll not only enjoy the food but the scenery as well.Come to Siliguri which is in North Bengala and carry on to Darjeeling or Sikkim.

Hello 👋🏻🤠 I liked a lot vast landscapes of Kazakhstan. Do you know you can actually download most major languages in to Google translator app and then translate off line? I used that method in central Asia.
