    Honestly, I can feel your pain, it's hard to see yourself perform worse than what you expect, but you've probably increased your hold in many other skills other than the planche, so still you made progress ! 😁

    Could you possibly be overtrained? You said you are training the same but your performance is worse which is a general indicator of being overtrained.

    I have the same problem!!! In September 23 my max Fingertip L-Sit hold was 42 second. Now in December 23 my max hold was 31 Second. I accept the situation and push me to bring the longer hold back 😅😂💪🏽✌🏾👊🏾

    Ome of the pecularities in your journey was that straddle didnt really do it for you so you went straight to full planche attempts and never looked back. Was it the same for you with the presses?

    • @barkage
      @barkage  Рік тому +1

      Sort of, I did mostly full press negatives, but I also did work on straddle presses

    Awesome video bro. I have a question… how long of a full planche hold would you recommend before trying to learn press and push-ups?

    I don't know English so I didn't understand. 4:18 - you worsened the result in holding full planche from 27 seconds to 10 seconds, and then to 7 seconds?

    I have a question : if we apply what you said to the front lever, do you think it's more useful to use a easier progression and doing longer combos, or doing a full front lever and just one raise is fine ? I got my front lever a few weeks ago, but I'm not sure what would be ideal to increase my hold time 😅

    I can definitely relate to what you went through with your hold but at the end of the day, it's all about specificity. Even though your max planche hold is worse, you're now much stronger in other planche elements. This is probably just a case of you being rusty from not attempting max holds for a while which happens. I'm sure you'll get back to that time quickly with the help of muscle memory!

    • @barkage
      @barkage  Рік тому +2

    You know what, makes me kind of happy to hear this, I've been at my peak a couple of years ago. I somehow kept working out the same way, not stopping, no injuries whatever... and I got worse, and was never able to get back to my old level. So it feels good to know I'm not the only one 😅🤣 I think it's just the way it is, part of the game. As you said, 27 seconds is still an amazing feat of strenght so no worries, but I do feel the same way about "why the f am I getting worse" 🤣
