god giveth mathcore. its the holy union of sophistication and accessibility. you could play mathcore both to nerds and to jocks and they would get along really well, indistinguishable from each other like 2 hours into the concert
the next step after this is to listen to frontierer. it's like this but 100x more dissonant. i listen to a lot of dissonant death metal and some mathcore. frontierer is by far the most dissonant band i've ever heard.
7:45 high pitch differences are not used for dissonance but headbanging. bow your head on the low notes. raise it on the high notes. or so i interpret it. i dont look for time signatures
At various times throughout the song they sound very mathcore, at times they sounded like Cloacal Kiss. They are indeed noisy, I ironically and unironically own noise music XD so I love them
This is one of the bands that I've always wanted to love but just can't. There's cool ideas, so-so execution, and not great production. I'd agree with you, for how chaotic and wild the music is, they really sit on an idea for a little too long. If you wanted to see this sort of concept in a more punk direction masterfully done, check out the heavier stuff from Dillinger Escape Plan.
Just the name of the band made me click on haha This is right up my alley Those guitars remind me of early era Korn but on steroids 😅 And the drumming is nuts And my god man that middle section MAKE IT STOP had me screaming at the top of my lungs lol And an actual guitar solo was a nice touch Considering what I listen to I'm surprised I've never heard of these guys I'm def picking up what they are throwing down 🧐✌️🤘😎🖤
If these guys ever got back together, I don’t care what they call themselves as long as Joshua Travis gets to go absolutely bananas with his songwriting again. Fucking love this band, dude.
@@FurorAeternumXBL I hear you. I just think their band name is really memorable for me and having a light hearted ring to it makes it even more so. That can help a band gain traction. In this song I liked the guitars making the high pitch 'ray guns', '80s console game sounds' and 'high rev 2stroke engines'. They certainly produced something impressionable, better by a margin to most extreme music imo. In general this will remain as curiosity music for me just like certain other niche music I've heard. I can imagine Joshua Travis being able to do lots of different kind of quality stuff.
Lets fucking Goooooooooooooooo. Danza still lives deep within us and will dooo forever
Josh Travis is like the hidden boss of low tune core guitar. Guy is nuts.

Except the nerds are busy counting while the jocks are going wild 😉
Joshua Travis is fukkin genius
You won't..... like this

Frontierer is insane. Alot more texture and atmosphere (in some songs) than just straight guitar dissonance.
I originally thought Frontierer was a continuation of Danza. I was blown away to find out it wasn’t. Definitely scratched that same itch tho.
I've gotten some frontierer into a livestream, he was about as much a fan then as of this now lol
Or the guys from Frontierers better project Sectioned
guys check out ' when knives go skyward'
it was a project by Chad Kapper(Frontierer frontman) and Joshua fucking Travis

Bro you look like you're suffering physically 😂
Never thought I'd get to see my favorite Danza track on the channel lfg
An absolute banger

Car Bomb meets Archspire? Haha, cool sound
okay check me if I'm wrong but the structure is ABCDBE, no? since the only similarity without a copy is between A and C
Love their dissonant shred. Up there with car bomb at times.

I love their name! Maybe their next project could be called Henry Winkler and the Rain Bird Sprinkler?
