- Well, it's here! The full version of the ending theme of the anime Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu or The Legend of Legendary Heroes. As expected from Ceui, this song is very soothing and fits the theme of the anime IMO. :3 Since I love it so much, here's the lyrics in case anyone wants to sing along. :D

I've watched many animes from almost all kinds of genres, and Densetsu no yuusha no densetsu rly stuck to me soo bad. it rly got me. i cant get it out of my system, evn tho i watched it 2 yrs ago.

Agreed. I'm re-watching it now and loving it. My only complaint is that I wish they hadn't tried to cover all 11 volumes of the light novel in just 24 episodes. With the anime as good as it is now, I can just imagine how good it would have been if they had taken their time and told the story over several seasons. 11 volumes in one season is just too much.

そして12年経っても、最後の歌詞にない部分の英語が聞き取れない。
どうか誰か教えて下さい…特に英語圏の方々。英語のネイティブスピーカーの方々…。
どなたかが歌詞を既に書いてくれていて、
Lots Of Us Will Be True Saviours For Now と書かれていますが、
どうしてもそう聞こえないのです。will be true savioursは聞こえますが、
最初の三つの単語がどうしてもそう聞こえません。
そして最後は英語でなく、綺麗な声で ah~ 言っているだけのようにも聞こえます。
英語分からないので絶対違うと思いますけど、
close to us ・・発音はこんな感じに聞こえてしまう。
To me (a native English speaker) the last phrase you are referring to sounds like "To [a] lot of us, lots of us will be true saviors. For now."
Hard to be 100% sure because of the accent and distortion due to the music and effects but thats the best I can understand. Maybe someone else can clear it up better.
I always come back and listen to this masterpiece every few weeks (and have been for the past 12 years!)

The anime is called Legend of the Legendary Heroes. Do not be fooled by the silly name, it is really good. Funimation has the first season uploaded on its channel, but it's subbed.

@Mushyrulez I wasn't speaking from the anime's stand point, but yes, toss in the magical arsenal & it's pretty much fight fire with fire. all you can do is be prepared to counteract the opposing spells that'll be flying your way. as for they wall, if anything, it's typical medieval castle architecture.
they usually prepare as best as possible, based on the size, numbers & armaments of the opposing force(s) but what they don't know can & usually does hurt them in the end.
I actually came here to listen the song from the video Rune Factory 4 and this song was in it. It's totally awesome and soothing song! And now Imma watch The legends of legendary heroes xD I gotta love my luck right now after finding out a new game and a good anime :D

@ViceKingofRogues Back in my days, we didn't take no history classes! :V (not doing any research here, cause finding any seems to take a long time too)
Anyways, the Wall of China was because there was a giant, constant threat from the North. The Wall itself is horribly inefficient - many less resource-intensive strategies could be taken, but then again, China has tons of people (even for its time).
For a city like (what's the capital of Roland anyways?) such a big wall would be infeasible.

@ViceKingofRogues ...they'd have fortifications implicated within the walls themselves & strategically placed throughout the kingdom(balistas, catapults, trebushes, etc). but seldom do you ever hear of a kindom so well prepared.
again, look at the chinese empire. that wall is the most efficient man-made defense(in terms of ground combat anyway)for it's time. most kindoms are pretty roomy, so bringing in a few families from the outside for a day or so is usually not too big of a problem.

@Mushyrulez more like seized rather than captured(that's more of a bandit raid), but most of the time it's either for the throne(in which case they'd try to keep most of the kingdom intact)or the destruction of the kingdom(meaning that everything's gona be burnt to the ground, no prisoners, etc). well, battles are fought somewhere between the kingdoms(miles away)& if those main forces are defeated & the other army was in good enough strength, the loosing side would usually surrender

@dianny1998 the light novel is finished. However there's a sequel to it called "Dai Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu"
@ViceKingofRogues everything's gone if their goal is destruction(they'll probably take whatever they find that can be of use to them). as for the lump or rock & grass, that's usually the whole point of destroying a kingdom(take out your enemies, take what you can make use of & kill/destroy what you can't, burn everything to the ground so that none can rise against you).

A-farmers keep their animals outside the kingdom, unless bringing them to the market to sell, barter or trade, or to use them as a mode of transport.
B-crops are grown outside the kingdom due to the lager amount of land & typically richer soil.
C-to show the difference in social class. middle-upperclassmen live within the kingdom's protective walls & in better homes. lowerclassmen live outside for the land benefits & the lack of money to live a more luxurious life within the walls.

@ViceKingofRogues Furthermore, with that in mind, the peasants could fight too, as generally, they're more physically fit - and when the siege arrives, they can respond more quickly than the useless bast-er, nobility.
There are like no walls that aren't fortifications! There's no point to having a wall without a fortification.

@Mushyrulez either the throne & land or just the destruction of the whole thing(seize what ya can & destroy what ya can't). yes. they are trying to capture the land, not destroy it(usually to expand territory & power). during wartime, they'd recruit every able man & sometimes but very rarely, women. they's suit 'em up & if there was enough time, give them basic training. so yes everyone but the women, children, elderly & bed ridden fought, especially during a siege.
@ViceKingofRogues neither am I! I just think a lot & generate multiple/various "situations/simulations" to see what would be the best ways to build & defend a kindom(among many other things). I'm quite the nerd! xp

@ViceKingofRogues as for the wall, it would be too costly to make a wall that encompasses the entire kingdom. if & when the opposing forces make it through your main army, your reserve forces at the wall & within the kingdom itself, there'd be a last stand at the castle & it they made it through the castle guard & into the throne room & through your royal guards, either A-their taking your head & the throne or B-you'd surrender.

@ViceKingofRogues Of course, that sounds like I'm contradicting myself. Nevertheless, that does not breach my main point - a city wall, enclosing the entire city. Country walls demand more time, but city walls won't. If the Chinese could build such a giant wall stretching the whole of the country, why can't Roland build a tiny wall just enclosing its own city?
@ViceKingofRogues Smart - but in the event of an attack, wouldn't that mean much of the city's economical resources get captured? Building a larger city wall, and recruiting more guards, might provide a self-sustaining society for as long as necessary before a siege backs down.
Of course, that's not very efficient - but it would be much better than hundreds of peasants running into the already overcrowded city to wait out an attack. Of course, I'm not speaking from experience here :P

@Mushyrulez I suppose I forgot to add in a few things... when it came down to waring kingdoms, every able bodied man would fight. again, if the main forces were defeated & the enemy made it to your door, there would typically be roughly 1/3-1/5(this is just an estimate)of your forces remaining in the kingdom & everyone responds the same.
yes, this is true. that's where arrogance & ignorance come into play. there are some really stupid people out there that don't even consider the portability.

this anime was based on the first novel, so of course the ending r full of cliffhanger...they will make a second season, but we have to wait for awhile since the second novel is still ongoing.....if they make the 2nd season now it might catch up with the novel, and there shouldn't be filler eps since they would ruin the story :)
