Fun fact: Kai and Jimin are good friends. Also, CL was part of one of the biggest girl groups in second generation Kpop, 2NE1 (to anyone or 21). GD is part of BigBang and they were both in YG. G-Dragon is also like THE icon in kpop. He's a trend-setter and probably the most popular idol from second gen. They're really good friends and that The Leaders performance is iconic.

Bigbang live performances are always spectacular . Solo , subunit or as a full group , they just own the stage . They are magnetic , they could just sit on stage and still comand everyone's attention . Highly recommend you watch BigBang live performances. Most kpop groups have some sincronised choreo . Is nice and all but they repeat that at every performance so after you see it a couple of times you know all the moves . BigBang instead concentrate on interactions with the audience and are more free to move on stage and make changes from one show to another .

GD (G-Dragon) was the leader and main rapper of 2nd gen boy group BigBang!
They were under the same company (YG) so the collab wasn't completely out of nowhere. But during 2nd gen, BigBang were regarded as the Kings of Kpop (with Shinee being the princes of kpop)
The biggest girl group was probably Girls Generation (aka, SNSD) But 2ne1 had a completely different image from them (more rebellious and "girl-crush") so they were both huge in their own right.

ATEEZ are amazing performers, I think their wonderland performance in kingdom should be on this list (not sure if the video was made before the performance tho). I would encourage everyone to see them live because they are even better. I’ve seen them live many times in concert and they blow me away every time.

Don’t know how old the video is, but both BTS Idol at the 2018 MMA and Dionysius at the 2019 MMA are truly EPIC live performances and blow these out of the water. Just the fan dance in the Idol performance intro earned Jimin a cultural award, and Dionysius’ intro is almost 20min long including gorgeous dance solos by J-hope, Jimin & Jk. Truly worth a watch/reaction.

GD and Taeyang - Jesus Christ, what stage presence these dudes have is insane. All YG artists have that swag and great stage presence but especially Big Bang. Also no surprise why Big Bang are seen as royalty in the kpop industry.

“American pop songs” “from the west” you do realize K-pop is literally a copy of black American music 💀 without black musicians K-pop wouldn’t exist. America is the biggest music industry to be known around the world, you have to make it in that industry. Some K-pop groups will release some pop songs to appeal to American consumers and continue with some of their old sounds. “Preserve real K-pop” K-pop isn’t even Korean culture, bts, ateez, stray kids, and oneus are the only ones I’ve seen that have songs with korean cultural sounds in it(“I’ve seen” not out of every single group) Exo couldn’t even keep all their members and you wanna talk about “diamonds” in the entire kpop industry 💀. K-pop isn’t going to die out soon in the future cause they’re idols not artists who care about music. Latin and Afro beats music is the future.
There are many badass performances in kpop. I will add like 20 to that list right now. Any StrayKids MAMA or Kingdom performances are fire, Ateez Kingdom or Mama also and many more.

I HIGHLY recommend checking out Monsta X. Shoot Out was one of their biggest title tracks. My other faves are Trespass (their debut song) Beautiful, Dramarama, Jealousy, Alligator, Follow, Love Killa, Gambler, Rush Hour, Kiss Or Death (I really love this song) , Love and Beautiful Liar. They have two full english albums and many many very good b-sides.
