Technically, shannon was used for technical communication. There are situations in shannon weaver that there is no feedback .example: listening to radio, watching tv. We dont need postiive feeback from listeners. However, in a situation in telephone conversation, there is a little feedback on it but it is not as interactive as other.models.Cos of criticisms of "no feeback" issue, shannon weaver has been widely used in multiple different areas of human communication. Thats part of its development
