Does it need an internet connection to work? I was planning to control an Android tablet during the long road trip and am not sure if I will have internet all the time (plus the tablet is not connected to the phone net (only to home wifi).

Just go to his/her phone settings and you will have to find (app hide) option,then hide the app.
