    One truth is that UT's O scored 23 points while OU's D was on the field. OU scored 34 while UT's D was on the field. UT lost the game in the red zone and the trenches. OU over came it's mistakes by winning the trench warfare which is always the underlying reason games are won and lost.

    I love how Ketch forgets the points Oklahoma left on the board. The dropped walk-in TD by the RB. The missed short yard field goal. It's like the golfer who thinks their score would be better 'if only' a couple of bad shots were better....but take for granted that long putt, chip in and ball that bounced off a tree back into the fairway.

    Texas didn't leave a single point on the field, OU took them away. Texas stole 7 from OU with the blocked punt. OU was 6 for 6 scoring in the redzone. Texas was 1 fer in the redzone with only a field goal. Texas' offense only scored 23 and coughed up 3 turnovers on OU's forcing those turnovers. All of OU's points were on offense. Texas gave up 5 sacks to OU's 1. OU out rushed Texas. And that goal line stand was one of the best moments this entire season. Now, OU left 10 points on the field with a dropped TD pass and a missed field goal. OU was more physical and controlled the line of scrimmage for the majority of the game. OU also won 3 quarters outright and the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter. My feeling is that if OU played that badly giving up the scores they did, they have a lot to improve on. By the way, Dillon Gabriel was an option QB and his leading recruiter before UCF was Army. That shows a lack of preparation on Texas' side not knowing about their opponent. If Texas and OU meet up again, putting a spy on Gabriel is going to be like handing out candy at Halloween. He will carve up those one on ones in the secondary.

      haha Texas "stole" 7 pts with a blocked punt? Yea, let's just ignore OU's poor special teams play 😂
      Point being is that both teams left plays on the field, it is what it is. OU executed better (barely) than Texas on Sat and deserved the win. A rematch for all the marbles in December would be great

      @@patentjt , Texas only scored 13 points on offense prior to the 4th quarter. What you're calling leaving plays on the field was OU playing really good defense. And, I literally gave Texas credit for scoring on special teams. I also said "OU played that badly giving up the scores they did" I was referring to special teams. I'm not sugarcoating anything about that. You just are trying to deflect from OU manhandling Texas on the line of scrimmage.
      There are 3 phases to the game of football; offense, defense, and special teams. OU won on offense and defense, but lost on special teams badly as you say and that nearly cost them the game. The offensive play of Texas in the 4th quarter was aided greatly by OU playing backups in the secondary due to injuries during the game (3 of the 4 starters were out) and OU still only gave up 10 points and held Texas to a field goal on the next to last possession.
      I'm not talking about what ifs or we could haves. OU just whipped Texas at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Texas is a good team, I won't say otherwise, but y'all were only able to keep it interesting due to special teams and injuries to OU.
      You should try pulling off the orange colored glasses and look at your team objectively. Sark did. He saw that Texas wouldn't be able to go toe to toe with OU's defense and geared up for that eventuality. And, Sark was right.

      @@willamclark8992 what’s crazy is after OU did all that. Played their little hearts. Causing 3 TOs, 6-6 in the red zone, playing all that good defense….Texas still came back from a 10 point deficit to take the lead in the 4th. They played their worst game of the year against OU best game and still had a chance to win. You can be as confident as you want on UA-cam, but I don’t think you want to see Texas in a rematch. If your prediction is based on hoping for another goal line stand and another 3 TOs, I wouldn’t count on it.

    • @willamclark8992
      @willamclark8992 Рік тому

      @@Duzypriicee to begin with, the only prediction I made was about putting a spy on Gabriel. And I stand by that. 2nd for there to be a rematch, both teams must get to the championship game. OU is worrying about UCF now. 3rd this was Texas' worst game so far because OU was more physical than Texas. OU beat Texas, that's the simple fact. Get on with trying to win each game. By the way, this was OU's worst played game of the year so far, too. OU can and needs to get better. But, until your offense can score more 2 tds and 3 field goals against OU's defense, quit crying about it. Just keep telling yourself this was OU's best played game of the year.

    Ketch though I agree I would have run clock right from the start but I don't think Sark's approach is totally wrong either in terms of running hurry up because he likes OU's personnel. We still needed to get 1st downs and ideally get into field goal range and OU still had 2 timeouts they could use if any 1st downs were not big gainers. If the drive stalls early, we have to punt the ball back to OU anyways so I think Sark was trying to get close FG range and then milk the clock from there. So I don't think what he did was that egregious.

    I don’t like all the short yardage special packages. Sark uses the wildcat on 3rd or 4th and short. And Sark uses the jumbo package with Byron Sorrell on short yardage situations inside the 10 yd line. It limits the plays that can be called and it’s too predictable whos getting the ball.

  • @billyjamison5265

    The biggest thing was the score. Make all the excuses you want but if OU executes they win by 2 touchdowns. When you don’t score as many points as your opponent you usually lose but, in the case of Texas, point differential doesn’t count. They really won because they didn’t play good. LOL. What a crock.

    Blocked FG for TD, missed FG, dropped TD before halftime. That’s why it’s was close. Not because of anything Texas did. We dominate that LOS and our DBs shut down y’all’s WRs until genrty williams went down and then bowman. We won everywhere outside of the rb position because we’re a better football team and has been for 10 years outside of last season

      As a Texas fan, UT is OU's little brother. Texas should stay in the Big12, never gonna amount to anything in the SEC. Im calling Texas causes another realignment in ten years when they can't make a bowl game. Fuck I hate the admin at UT.

The OU-Texas rivalry has a much more even all time record and Texas actually has heismans and championships to speak of. I heard Sark explain his thinking on that last possession in a way that made perfect sense. Sark was going for a touchdown, and he needed enough time on the clock to do that. But the drive stalled, and he took the necessary field goal because he wanted the lead. I guess he should have known that the Texas defense was going AWOL on that final drive with no timeouts in 50 seconds. I thought this was supposed to be an overreaction show. But Ketch is going to blame Sark every time something doesn't go right. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Who is the Defensive Coordinator, anyway.
