These don't hold a candle to the P-50, but they're not made to compete on an SPL level anyway. The whole idea of the 135 AC/DC was to make a single tone 500 Hz siren that was loud enough to compete in the range, 500 Hz being a sweet spot for low ground impedance and high propagation power and single tone since single tone sirens mostly always outperform dual tone sirens because of the high pitch component of the tone. The chopper itself is a P-15/Model-7 sized version of the smaller one found in the 128, which is about the size of the one in the Model-3/2001. Applying the 128's design to the housing they got the SPL up to 132 +/- 1. At 500 Hz and that SPL they are close to the same range, at least from what ASC and some field testers have said in the past.
They don't test at the same time. The only way I can do it is if the Eclipse is doing a fire call while the T-135 is testing, the T-135 goes off for a tornado warning during the Monday test of the Eclipse, or they both go off for a fire call and tornado warning, and all of those are damn near impossible to get.
yeah he’s definitely right. it’s used for fire calls while the ASC is used for extreme heavy rain, severe thunderstorm/tropical storm, flood warning, tornado warnings
Actually, you can see with the name that if measured via Decibels that it is louder than the T-128. The appearance follows too (e.g. Size). Date varies.
Yeah it is a downgrade aside from having battery backup. The P-50 that was here before was the loudest siren I ever recorded. This T-135 doesnt come close.
I'm sorry but I nearly choked on my lunch seeing that rotate that fast. Pretty comical. Nice video Tommy
Wow. A t135 that rotates at an acceptable speed
6RPM!
#interesting
really/very interesting...
Wait WHAT?! I thought the eclipse 8 was removed with the P50
Goodbye P-50, you will be missed. 😭
I think P-50 is refurbished to a different state
That is where P-50 got replaced
THAT ROTATING FLOWER ON A STICK REPLACED ONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS! 🤬🖕
@Mike1693_tsmlover Well, is there any way to find it? 🤨
note: this ASC was removed and replaced with an ACA P-50 on 2022.
Wait what how?
@@WVSP1oh, hehe. my bad.
that fast rotator siren
So, is the Eclipse used exclusively for fire calls, and the T-135 exclusively for severe weather?
In 2009 that was a p50
Awesome video! Sounds nice and healthy! How loud was it compared to the P-50 that was here?

can you you record that both of them testing? the eclipse and t135

Is this louder compared to the smaller clone/sibling, the Tempest No. 128?
obviously yes
0:12 bruh
wow 8 rpm t135
So, what is the Eclipse 8 used for?
for weather
@@grimatronicpl7163 I thought fire
Could be too
@@grimatronicpl7163 fire calls
Wood County Test lol
The better 2001 and worse p50
What's with the eclipse?

No, it’s a t-135. There’s a difference
Well that's a downgrade.
Not at all. This does the job just fine.. considering what used to be there

@@TommyBNSF Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the average sound output of T-135AC/DCs at 100ft only about 2 decibels quieter than P-50s?
@@hlynurelli 3, and on the DB scale that's quite a lot.
What's with the other siren next to it?
