It's the best entry this year. Its a true performance ready to go to eurovision, to a radio chart, to a concert arena, to a big show, to a superbowl. It has this American Spanish flavour in a high level. Well produced choreography for a dance song. We usually watch music videos for dance songs where people is dancing but not singing live. To make this live at the same time is the most extremely difficult thing for a singer plus Chanel's charisma, charm, spice and energy. 10/10

I am from Spain and it is interesting you hear some parts of the song as pirat-y vibes but I guess a lot of this sounds like trumpets and percussion are inspired by the sounds before a bullfight. If you look even closer, her outfit is inspired too by traditional bullfighters outfit and some of their dance steps remind some bullfighter figures and poses 😉. I am not an expert but I guess I can see some spanish cultural expressions that a foreing person can hardly see. Hope my comment be useful for you. Btw, nice video and reaction. Thanksssss
Not traditional bullfighting clothing, but traditional spanish clothing. You get to see those things out of the bullfight, maybe less flashy, but she's a star as the bullfighters were back in the day so she's going to "shine" more with it. (That suit is called Traje de luces, it means light's suit). In the old days, bullfighters didn't have a special way of dressing, they used to use what they were wearing on the streets, their usual clothes, that's were the bullfighting clothing comes from. You can see those patterns today, specially in the south of Spain, in Andalucía, actually Chanel's suit was inspired in the Feria de Sevilla, a Sevilla's festivity. Check the new collection of Dior that was inspired on traditional spanish clothing too, and you will see how popular it is, it's a very spanish way of dressing. I am from Spain and in Eurovision I do not usually support Spain (usually I support Scandinavian countries), due to the fact that I think we are pretty bad when it comes to Eurovision, but this year I supported Chanel a lot. Even though her song is not what I listen to, she's pretty talented.
This perfomance comes from Benidorm Fest, a music festival that works also like a pre-selection of Eurovision. There was a huge debate about the winner: Chanel. There were other 2 good options like Rigoberta Bandini (¡Ay, mamá!) and Tantxugueiras (Terra). I think Chanel is the best performer (she is going to be the best performer of Eurovision too) but I don't know if this was the best song.
Agree, despite her talent, her victory in Benidorm Fest was surrounded by a lot of polemic. I believe that's why some people from Spain don't think she's the best choice for Eurovision, and it's absolutely valid. Nevertheless, it is a good performance and I hope this year we make a good impression in the contest.
