How did it go? We have a DW too with aluminum siding.
just wondering why the center mounting bracket isn't centered???
The bracket screws need to be screwed into the wall studs.

If you don't have 10 vertical inches of clear space on the wall, can this be installed on the eaves? If I were to install it on the eaves, I would have 10 inches of clearance below the eaves. Looking at buying one of these.

Yes our Luxury Series awning can be installed on either on a wall, on the eaves, or hung from the soffit. We always recommend to view our detailed pre-installation guides via our website; www.advaning.com

Will this awning allow rain between the wall & the awning. I currently have a door that gets moisture bc there is no eave above it. I was looking to install an awning to protect the doorway from moisture. Thx!
Hello Jeff, Thanks for your message. Advaning retractable awnings will all have a small gap between the wall and he awning. Unfortunately they are not made to the purpose you intend but for sunshade. ive mounted a few imdoing a 5m next week im sitting on some say 100mm x 20mm alloy angle on top of the brackets for mainly sun when rolled in , ill seal it to wall to stop water
No mention of caulking in the mounting holes? You'll slowly rot away your house
