Love to see it! The only way we’re going to make a dent in the affordability crisis in our city is to build more housing. It’s simple supply and demand. Home in Tacoma will remove many of the administrative hurdles that currently exist to building anything but single family homes. This will give people the freedom to build more and varied types of missing middle housing so that young families can actually afford to stay here. If this goes through, my friends and I are already talking about going in on a lot to put 4 townhomes on. This way, we can all stay here and raise our families together for much cheaper than if we all had to buy single family homes, which is currently out of reach for many of us.

This will go a long ways towards creating a better housing situation overall...I'm very hopeful that the City Council sees it the same way.
