similar to what FNS mentioned on this roster, it was going to be hard to maintain their level with only having 2 weeks of prep after madrid compared to the month and a half (?) other teams had. Reinventing the team overall is just impossible with that time frame. The same can't be said for NRG though, they are absolutely mid. Everyone expected a lot from that team so idk why theyre at the bottom of the standings.
? sen grinded so much in the offseason and then nrg just had little time. now they had more time and still lost but its just cause of bad mid rounding and demon1 learning raze. and everyone expected a lot from them for a reason. when you put the most recent champions plus 4 madrid winners what would u expect? they just have to fix a lot of things but i dont think they are bad tbh.

@@saigaming613that's because there's too much footage out there now which makes them predictable. They used to have really good mid rounding during Madrid but when everyone has their eyes on you and you get no time to change things up, this is the expected result.

Those teams from Madrid barely have the time to rest and practice. They only had like 2 weeks break so this is the result you get. Before, you usually have a long time break after Masters but this time it's different. Which is why teams like GEN G, PRX, SEN, LOUD and Karmine Corp are having a rough start.

those moments of bad teamplay, spacing, and discipline were so different from what we saw them do at masters. the amount of time I saw them 3,2,1 an angle at masters and have masterful spacing between teammates was insanely good. now it seems they've forgotten all of it. I think its a clear showing of burnout and fatigue in addition to all the other teams figuring their strats out.
i am not even a sen fan but this video e so bullshit. sen and loud have almost no time to prepare for this slip. i think it would be even better for them to not go for Xangai. On how the calendar is set up today if you go deep in a international tournament tou have no time to prepare for the slip and every fucking team on the slip would have every vod from every play. the second slip is much more important than this one.

@@OpGoku69 Pacific and China are trash regions. PRX has gotten Jinggg back. So they can't be antistrated as easily. GenG is already struggling in the trash region. Even Bleed and GE had close games (and some wins) against most of the pacific region.
Besides EDG, all of China are contenders for the worst teams in T1 and T2 combined.
I always said this but their jett maps need work. I know it’s past it but couldn’t they try TenZ on jett and then put Zekken on the ultra flex role where the jett isn’t even the main entry?! Idk

I've felt that too. TenZ would have a much bigger impact on breeze (maybe even ascent) as an Oping Jett than Zekken. But at this point, they need to rework their comps and strats on all maps.

I recommend trying to play Zekken Raze and Tenz Omen/Clove on all maps. It is clear that when they are playing those agents, they are way more comfortable and confident. I know the meta says to play Jett, but there have been ample examples of teams playing other duelist/controller agents which are not meta and making them work. One example was FNC's Astra comp on lotus last year.

Sen had the most time in the offseason as a full team to practice together and it showed. Honestly I just other teams have caught up. Sentinels showed the most chemistry by far when compared to other teams during kickoff and Madrid. Most of the other teams just got made or didn’t mesh well yet
And most team steal strat and comps from sentinels. With the amount of VODs against sentinels. It’s hard to stay on top when every opponent is on your back and the pressure is up
I think sen missing out masters will result in a much stronger showing in split 2 and champs. I honestly think sen will have better results overall by missing shanghai.

At least the next thing they need now is break the "burnout" curse and perform better despite the lack of preparation that caused them to lose against teams they would have beaten supposedly. That would be a progress and historical.
@@jorrr3962 i have a feeling that if they make Shanghai they would instead be more burnt out and in even worse shape for champs. And champs is definitely the bigger fish. So missing out on Shanghai may end up helping them win champs. Makes sense? Ofc this is all conjecture.

@@jorrr3962 VODs of 5 matches at Lock-in for FNC and Loud. Let me give you a breakdown of SEN now. 5 SEN invitational VODs, 4 AfreecaTV VODs, 7 Amer Kickoff VODS, 6 Masters Madrid VODs. Total 22 VODs before Stage 1 started. Is 5 anywhere close to the number 22?

to be fair they were previous masters winners, teams have a lot more footage to see how sentinels play out though that shouldnt be an excuse but it couldve been an off season and the pressure coming out as champions will be quite massive. either way there is still lots of time to grow and there was barely time to them to prepare. just looking forward to seeing the future lan events anyway haha just here to watch it cuz its just interesting

i have to give them the benefit of the doubt they have been given a short amount of time to prep after masters going into stage 1 but if this continue, it will be a repeat of their downfall after winning a masters it will be like a deja vu.

i really dont think the collapse is that shocking lmao, and im saying that as a huge sen fan. you have to understand multiple things, for one, just like every other pro who watches these games has said, it is VERY hard to maintain that same masters winner form throughout the next tournament, especially when you've played as much this year as SEN has, the amount of footage and studying teams have gotten to do on SEN is incredible. Also, with all these games played there's the good and the bad, the good being that SEN gets a lot more practice compared to other teams, and can build a strong bond with each other, but the downside is bad, all 5 of them are completly burnt out and it shows. they've played all these offseason events, then made their way through kickoff, play ins, and playoffs, and then not even awhile later, played through a grueling masters event. and i dont get why everyone is shocked that they arent winning still, teams have gotten the entire masters to practice and research strats against SEN while SEN had to play through masters. why do you think no other team besides Fnatic have won back to back events (which is why that team is considered the greatest val roster ever assembled.) its because its hard to keep form, not get burnt out, and come up with new strats in such a short time. now while i do hope they somehow can qualify for Shanghai, if they dont it might actually help their chances of winning champs this year, because they will be the ones coming up with new starts and they can finally take a much deserved break until the next stage. they are basically guaranteed the champ points slot anyway since they won both kickoff and madrid, as long as they dont go winless through stage 2.

I still confused why riot use team system for vct, it makes top of each team (omega and alpha) have bye in upper bracket and make team with good game like PRX (except versus TS) cant play with same Team like DRX and other

theres a reason why even after EG won they couldnt make it to top again 2023 champs .....valorant its not like CS ....valorant is like a ever changing game where there is a lot unpredictability and the thing is when sentinels were on champs stage other teams who couldnt make it champs were re adjusting and were making new strats and on champs sen were giving literally everything aginst PRX and GEN G and after winning they only got 1 week to rest even kaplan said this in sen podcast...so the think is they need time to readjust make new strats bring out their absolute cinema together and reclaim their world champion position again
honestly the biggest problem about valorant is nobody can go 2 time champion due to game's frequent adjustment. are there any dominant team gone back to back? none atm. eg. this patch viper is god tier then in next patch garbage. like bruh starts doesn't last long
And the cypher cam nerf really killed him. At least the trips are understandable. Breaking it still gives info. But cam provides more than just the enemy being there nerfing it to be easily detectable through sound cues is bad instead of predicting where you're darted and the flashes...
they have like a cycle where after 3 years or so they'll comeback and be the champ or some sht but after that we'll need to wait for another 3 years
If I say some words here defending sentinels, some may call it copium. But if you're following the vct scene for a while, you'll understand that no one stays on top for so long. Not when everyone is working hard to win champions. Many teams in the franchise are quick to adapting and with Sentinels winning Madrid, they showed so many strats and facing so many problems coming back to NA after Madrid. It was hard for them to reinvent and have new strategies on hand before games. Again, they are also aiming for Champions in the long run so it's quite understandable. I've seen SEN play good against teams like LEV and EG they had CLOSE games but failed to close it out. They are still good, just not ENOUGH. so yea, i just hope people wouldn't take it so seriously and call them things like washed or frauds. It's just purely disrespectful towards them.

i’m gonna be honest, i love zekken with all my heart, but any other duelist than his raze isn’t impactful at all and it shows
valorant esports has been some of the most inconsistent esports since it started. If anything is consistent about this game is the fact that top teams suck very soon after winning or disband, and a lot of top players fall off for a long time. Tenz wasn't great for awhile. Demon1 is playing bad. a ton of prior champions arent even playing. And its all gonna cycle around. At this point this shit is just expected.

it's not the rocket science everyone makes it out to be. you play a shit ton of matches, you provide a shit ton of vods to other teams, you get barely any breathing room after madrid before the split starts. of course you're gonna be burnt out and outdated. that's why on the other hand a lot of teams that were worse at kickoff are now caught up, they had like a month of prep. none of it is an excuse but it gives enough legitimacy to the current struggle pattern of teams that were at madrid and it will repeat itself for shanghai teams.
Nah, bad take considering SEN already got a title this year and barely had any time to prepare for shanghai unlike other teams that have time. All in all, it's not SEN's fault that Riot made Valorant format so shitty. Even title holders in the past gets owned in tournaments after winning because of Valorant's format.
