Used to holiday in one of those boarding houses in Bloomfield road. Can't remember the number but it was run by Mr & Mrs Broadbent as I've never forgotten the name. Back when the big club was called the number one club so best part of 50 years ago...WOW I'm old 😂😂
Just behind the building on stilts used to be the PICADOR CLUB IF ANYBODY REMEMBERS IT, and in later years I worked there as a car salesman when it was a Motor showroom , owned by Lawrie Lewis the Boxing promoter.
Hi Stephen. Thank you very much for sharing another interesting video. I will be in Blackpool on Saturday. Would love to see you with the Blackpool lads and daily Vlog adventures
If you look on Google maps street view that shed does look like someone's home and looking further at 2015 there were 2 more on the waste ground at the side. It's a shame though because that street looks ok and well looked after.
Yes Steven they were lived in an old chap name unknown I spoke to once and friend I visited there once 2 years ago had a flat there great vids keep it up ste😊
They've put all that barbed wire on the gates and fences to stop Blackpool Fans climbing over them. The Police are sick of stopping them and telling them to go back and watch the rest of the game!
Blackpool's beacon of hope the tower, it certainly is if you get lost in Blackpool look for the tower to get your bearings. I stayed near a football ground for a while hell on match days and parking impossible. I've never heard of lighting that makes grass grow, heard it all now! Wonder if they can buy those other houses, could be difficult if they're flats. You're right about the buddleia in Manchester, loads of it butterflies love the stuff. Thank you for the video Stephen.😊😊😊
Good evening George hope you're ok and rested after your trip to Blackpool. Weathers turning now, much cooler today and had drizzle on and off. I'm sat watching this with my fleece blanket round me, had heating on at tea time but only for a bit. Takes the chill off Soon weekend again, times flying too fast isn't it. Be Christmas before we know it . Still a bit to do but getting on with writing the cards out while resting my back, it's bit easier but comes and goes. Well take good care and spk soon bye for now 😊x
@hazelmanship7516 Good evening Hazel I'm back to normality now still a good bit of Christmas shopping to do got most of my cards written I'm glad i got loads of stamps last year i hope everyone is OK at your end I've got a funeral tomorrow afternoon my friend's partner it was quite nice weather today take care and i hope to speak to you soon
Hi Stephen, I used to live in Cleethorpes which is home to Grimsby Town FC & their Blundell Park ground. A good pub quiz question that as they are the only team in the league, that never play at home, as Blundell Park is in Cleethorpes and not Grimsby ! I remember chatting to somebody who lived in the terraced houses that are around the ground and I was told that when the floodlights were on during evening matches, some of the residents would cut their grass and do a bit of gardening, thanks to the floodlights lighting up the gardens ! Lol
Watched best I could Stephen on my mobile phone due to my large equipment breakdown hopefully I will be fixed up by next week and will be able to watch properly 😄 this tiny screen it's not the best. Thanks Stephen as always brilliant work 👍
What does it cost really to keep the streets free of rubbish. Im glad you mentiond the petrol station on Central Drive, how long would it take to tidy the forecourt. Nobody takes any pride these days.
AVFTT is the main Blackpool FC fans forum. Back Henry St forum has not been in existence for several years. It was never very popular, with few posters, who seemed more concerned about politics than football. The Kop, yeah stood on there hundreds of times back in the day when it had a roof. Sadly there was a murder committed on there in 1974 , and some years later rioting by Birmingham City hooligans resulted in the first time British police in riot gear were rushed in to control mayhem at a football game.😮
Mabe those sheds were takeaways pizza hut for when the football fans were coming out of the stadium they do look quite bizzar lol just stoof there but they could of been bungalows theyre facinating theyd probably look quite nice if they were revamped and made into something the stadium looks great ive never seen blackpool play home it looks abit like ours tranmere rovers prenton park ours isnt huge but the cow sheds as people call them are a fair size looks nice round there but yeh if i were to live opposit the stadium the noise from the footballers would rattle my earholes lol ❤️👍
Not a lot of industry, but we used to have quite a bit. Squires Gate was where military planes were built in the olden days before becoming a vehicle exhaust factory. We have Glasdon, who make plastic products like the bins.
Thanks Stephen. It seems that it's just rear extensions and garages of the houses to be removed at present due to vandalism and anti social behaviour etc.
A beacon of hope, in a town of confusion. Council boards them up in order to stop thieves steeling metal piping. and anything else that they can re-sell. What is proposed in the place of those houses?
I really,really wish I was there,with Steve,right now right this very second,there not here ohh noo,right there,right now,innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnBLACKPOOL,the place for you,and me,awesome steve🎉🎉AYE remember spionkop our steve🎉
I see the Pink Footed Geese are heading back to the area, all the way from Greenland. Around 50,000 make their home here for the warmer winter. They are beautiful to watch flying low overhead.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Yes, the estuary is a good spot to catch them, I saw thousands last winter, a lovely little place, take some good binoculars, and your trusty camera 👍
Compulsory purchase is not good if you don’t want to sell your house and made to do so , great video as always
Beacon of Hope, love it, Blackpool tower😀

Thank you Stephen another enjoyable video ❤
I used to live in one of those houses sad to see it boarded up on its way to go.
Been wondering about these houses for a while. I fitted a carpet in that wooden building at the end years ago.
If you look on Google maps street view that shed does look like someone's home and looking further at 2015 there were 2 more on the waste ground at the side.
It's a shame though because that street looks ok and well looked after.

It's not sodium Stephen. The groundsmen sprinkle the pitch on a daily basis with Ready Brek
Yeah, what ever happened to kids that glow.
Thanks again Stephen for another informative vlog i hope you are well

so sad to see these houses go they look in pretty manageable condition😢

Looks cool 😎
Another great video Stephen 😂
Thanks David 👍
You should do a video about the pleasure beach ice blast construction and the grand prix demolition
11.07 Nice plot for Turkish barbers lol
Don’t be giving them ideas lol
Shame about that street. Could be a lovely little place to live if decent people moved in
What does it cost really to keep the streets free of rubbish. Im glad you mentiond the petrol station on Central Drive, how long would it take to tidy the forecourt. Nobody takes any pride these days.
So true.
All of central dive needs flattening
The top part of Central Drive is very nice indeed
By looking at the area looks like so many houses empty.

I’ve still got an account on AVFTT

Used to live there, moved cuz of it.
Waste off good house's better new one's they build these days
Evenin what a depreadful mess who’s responsible for all that !!! Nice video till the next one😊
What do the folks there in Blackpool do for employment? What kind of industries do ya'll have Steve?
Not a lot of industry, but we used to have quite a bit. Squires Gate was where military planes were built in the olden days before becoming a vehicle exhaust factory. We have Glasdon, who make plastic products like the bins.
I like that esso garage Stephen.
It’s nice & bright ⛽️
Will arcade club be affected by this? i hope not as i love going when i visit blackpool.
Arcade Club will not be affected. Hopefully, the new stand including the rest of the development will help the area.
so if there demolishing those houses, does that mean back henry street will b gone then, bcause the house are the other side of it.
Why though? Those houses look in pretty good condition structural wise. They're not exactly falling down
A CPO lets nothing get in its way.
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Nope obviously money to be made somewhere
The seagulls are making a noise because it’s their breakfast time 🤪🤗👍
Thanks Stephen. It seems that it's just rear extensions and garages of the houses to be removed at present due to vandalism and anti social behaviour etc.
Yeah saw them myself boarded up myself tbh n figured out they were for the new stand for Bloomfield bud
I didn't think that a football club could do a compulsory purchase order, must have made a good offer
I think they are working with the council on this. Part of the development is for a sports village.
That house i think is what they used to call a prefab in days gone by.
A beacon of hope, in a town of confusion. Council boards them up in order to stop thieves steeling metal piping. and anything else that they can re-sell. What is proposed in the place of those houses?
He already said, it's for an extension to the football ground to build a new stand.
@@martinwebb1681 Many thanks. Somehow I missed that.

Needs tidying up
Could that shed building be a couple of old council bungalows.
I see the Pink Footed Geese are heading back to the area, all the way from Greenland. Around 50,000 make their home here for the warmer winter. They are beautiful to watch flying low overhead.
I might have to head down to the estuary to see if I can spot them 🪿
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Yes, the estuary is a good spot to catch them, I saw thousands last winter, a lovely little place, take some good binoculars, and your trusty camera 👍
Sodium Vapor.
Hi Stephen
All this area what is empty, should have new flats made for people, lots of space here
😂😂🤣👍👍👍👍
All the people who looking for houses to move in, should get there taking homeless people off the streets.
