This brief video has been made with 3 brief excerpts from interviews where Barry talks about the soft vocal demo take of Eloise as well as the second take of Eloise which was the final one for the single. Barry talks about the song their mother Marion Ryan was recording as well as Barry and when the demo was created. Barry also talks about Paul and about their music lives on. I have to admit I was crying when I created that part. I am sharing this in loving memory of Barry and Paul and wish to honour them by sharing this. No copyright infringement is intended. This video was created and has been uploaded under the terms of Fair Use.
I created this video making photo montages using my own photos as a backdrop before adding photos of Barry to these montages and then by adding the audio . Some of the older photos of Barry were black and white shots and I added some colours to some of those.
About Eloise and the soft vocal demo, this was recorded in two takes at the end of one of their mother’s studio sessions, she recorded “Better Use Your Head”
and Barry also recorded the same song and of course that version ended up being published on Barry Ryan 3 ( his 3rd solo LP)
I feel so blessed having met both Barry and Paul and that I got to know Barry.
He was truly a lovely man and I still feel gratitude that he inspired my love for photography and for all his kind ways.
I wish I had reached out to him on social media.
He will be always in my heart and the hearts of those who love him and also his fans.
My intention is for us to remember their incredible music & perhaps introduce the music to a new generation of fans.
If I can help make this come true or have any small part in this I would be very happy and I hope you also feel this way.
Music has the power to transcend time & makes you feel such incredible emotions, they were magicians with Paul's incredible talented songwriting & Barry emotive vocals, what a combination & dream team .
I will always remember them with love & a smile & hope you will join me on this journey remembering them & honouring these fine musicians.
They say legends never die & I hope to help in any small way I can by sharing their music with the public.
I am also thinking of creating a blog or website as well to leave something for fans and to try and gain new fans if possible.

Ich habe eben durch Zufall wieder mal an gemacht und da habe Barry Stimme gehört und ich war so. glücklich Barry ❤❤❤zu zuhören .Ich bin zwar 69 Jahre, aber so gut verstehe ich die englische Sprache nicht (aber Bruchteile)das Video ist auch wunderschön geworden und jetzt möchte ich mich auch bedanken die dir liebe TIA Song's und Videos zukommen zu geschickt haben. Lovely to hear this interview Tia, and how proud Barry was about Eloise. It truly is one of those great songs that will last forever. I watched a couple of recent videos from young US UA-camrs who listened to Eloise in its entirety (not the sanitised version that was released in the US), and it completely blew them away. The looks on their faces when they realised it had been released in 1968 was an absolute picture. It just goes to show that the oldies are the best. K
I would love to see that video, if you can add a link here it would be great as I remember how frustrated Barry felt about the editing of 'Eloise' in the USA.
Actually only one of the guys is American, the other one is English from Newcastle, so you may find his accent a bit hard to I derstand. I can't send a link I because these days I only use a Kindle, (I'm not that technically minded 🤔) and it doesn't have the facility to link, or if it does I don't know how, but the details are as follows:
