  • Eldorado Climbing Walls took on a huge task: creating the world’s largest outdoor climbing structure at The Summit Bechtel Reserve for The Boy Scouts Jamboree in West Virginia. They battled snow, cold, wind, and other setbacks to create this amazing structure. It is made entirely of a concrete substance and is hand sculpted to blend in with the surrounding rocks and environment. It was created to handle 80,000 boy scouts.
Creating this behemoth was no small task. The Summit Bechtel Reserve researched and decided Eldorado was the climbing wall manufacturer they wanted to use. They couldn’t be happier with the results.
This structure creates 60,000 square feet of climbable terrain, leap of faith towers, and tons of bouldering terrain for climbers of all ability levels. This is a truly unique climbing structure that sets a new standard for what can be done with outdoor climbing terrain.
This task was reliant on copious amounts of planning, delegation, and prioritizing of smaller tasks. By doing this, the project was approached as if it were several small climbing gyms being combined into one massive space, making it more manageable and timely.
We are so proud to have given the opportunity to create such an amazing structure for an amazing cause. Our artisans, designers, and entire crew showed what Eldorado Climbing Walls can do. They also showed the world that the structures that can be created for climbing is limited only by your imagination. They worked hard to create something that had never been seen before by a climbing wall manufacturer.
We would love to help your organization create the perfect climbing wall for your needs. Whether you need a small indoor wall or want to take on something of this magnitude, Eldorado Climbing Walls is happy to assist.
