I have a question about getting the MPPS to read the PCM/ECU on a 02 ALH jetta. I'm running windows 10 and followed the install videos on others channels. Loaded the cable drivers and so on. I can't get this thing to I'd or read the PCM. It will start to then pop up the message to remove f11 I then click yes then after about 2 or 3 minutes it errors and says send log files to a email. The percentage doesn't go over 0%. I've tried reading the PCM through the odb2 plug and using a bench flashing set up. I know the PCM is good as the car runs and drives and vcds will connect and talk in both connections setups. This is driving me nuts I've even tried using a virtual Windows 7 machine. Same failure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@ERAutomotive yes. It does the same thing when it's on the bench flash connector completely removed from the car. That's just power ground and comms. Voltage is set around 12.8-13v on the bench flash station. I've tried my spare golf PCM and same thing. Replaced the cable multiple times figured cheap china cable. I only thing I haven't tried is the laptop itself. Don't have another one to try 😂😂
@@ERAutomotive I have no idea 😂. I need to change my MAP to a 4 bar and of course the guy I used to tune the PCM before is no longer doing the "Old Stuff" anymore and with the big crack down here I'm stuck figuring it out myself 😂
Hey I swapped out my K2.0z2 from my 2010 Acura csx with an Acura TSX K2.4A2 engine it still have the OEM ECM can I remap the ECM with the MPP V 16 & will it work
How did you know that you need V13 cable? Because there are many different mpps out there. Moreover, this software you re showing in the video, do you receive it boundled when you buy the cable?
in the listing there should list the comparable ecus/ vehicles but i knew from an outside source that v13 would work for my needs and yes the software comes with the cable

my car has edc15vm i’ve read the file that was on it and it was tuned. i’ve since edited the file and flashed it onto the car again and it has bricked the ecu… stable voltage with charger hooked up and flashed on with no issues according to mpps went to start and it wouldn’t so tried reading and says no reply from ecu. scanned snap on and vcds all say ecu no comms… apparently it is something to do with checksums? not 100% but any help be appreciated buddy awaiting bench cables to do a recovery
Yes definitely need to verify checksums before flash everytime Some tuners make it so u can’t edit their files so that could be issue as well Depending who tuned it

There’s lots of tuning groups on fb and people there offer file service The communication error is prob from when u were flashing Clear and see if it comes back is what I would do

Mpps does for some Pcmtuner Is cracked pcmflash There’s much newer then the 1.21 u have But depending what ecu ur working with It might do checksum for the file

Recently my laptop crapped out about 5% into loading the new map. Turning the ignition key did nothing, No start. I re-flashed with MPPS the same file a 2nd time and it uploaded successfully. Longest 4 minutes of my life!

Are you sure you pulled right fuse
If I recal it’s a 5amp
And your cluster should power off with fuse pulled

Hi yes computer is running Windows XP and the program for flashing is mpps it comes with the mpps cable.

Does it Id the ecu? Are you sure you have all the wires correctly for you specific ecu. Yours might be different then the examples in the video
