VW Skoda PD Engine Torsion Value Adjustment. VW Volkswagen and Skoda 1.9 non start, long start or cutting out easy fix if timing is ok on scope and tools line up. Note: Needs to be zero or close but not outside the range of -6 or +6. Research was showing -1.5 / -2.5 was one of the best positions. If I read right, anything out of that range will show zero so live data will misinform you but I’m yet to confirm that but it’s probably right but you can get it close and working find without a tool if you’re stuck and don’t have access to  diagnostics. Leaving it at value "0" is not indicated for that vehicle engine. It works optimally at values of -1.5/-2.5 (maximum) one testers experience of more than 1 year of testing and testing values, etc. pass -4.4/-3.5/-2.8/ +1.0/+2.6 .. The improved value for that engine was in his case -1.4 and accelerating above 2000 rpm -1.8. Idle consumption of 0.6lh the injector compensations much better than with another value. Fiat idea 1.6 120 work?

If you do replace the tensioner stud, make sure it is in the block all the way with no threads showing on the wide end! The mistake cost me a few good hours. Wound up damaging the threads on the wide side, and bent the tensioner aligning tab. Thanfully, I straightened the tab out with some channel locks, and had a die to fix the damaged threads on the stud. Again, make sure the tensioner stud is fully threaded in. May have to grab the non threaded part with channel locks. Edit: I did the job with the motor mounts removed. Make sure very little thread is poking out past the tensioner nut like shown.

I have mk7 2015 new steering wheel but it bas covers and not buttons. If i buy steering wheel with buttons are the wires already installed so the buttons can work or is it a waste of time

Just to help you all with other mk4s. I just pulled my passenger side in about 20 min. 2002 VW Jetta wagon 2.0. loosen Maine axle bolt w a 30mm 12pt. Loosen inner triple square bolts. Remove heat shield and pull sway bar linkages to move the sway bar out of the way. I could have remove the axle without moving sway bar but it's tricky. Plenty of room to move the inner CV axle up and towards engine to remove the other end. That's it! Use neutral to move those inner axle flange bolts to make it easier. I also did my 2003 1.8T Passat, both sides without removing sway bar links. The heat shield was tough to get back on though.

hi i do have an issue with my 1998 volkswagen passat 1.8T B5 the car start then shuts off instantly sometime it's just cranking. How can you help me I don't have any programming tools but I know how to solder, and upon my research I've come across this immobilizer emulator device that you will just solder it on the wiring pins of the instrument cluster gauge im about to recieve the the emulator by nextweek upon arrival I'm gonna install it and hope it will disable the immobilizer and on Will permanently resolve the starting issue issue

Hey brother. Thank you for the video. I just replaced my timing belt, and I don't have a Check engine light. The car wont start and VCDS says its Bank 1: CMP Sensor (G40) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28), which means the timing is off. Since my car wont start, how do I start it in order to determine whether or not my timing is off? BTW, you did some exhaust work for me a few years ago, but I'm no longer in Ontario!
