Some of us didn’t have fathers growing up so he was father and grandfather to a lot of us. One of the greatest teachers in my life. I lost him the day after thanksgiving. I will keep all my memories of him close. I wish i would have taken more pictures with him. One of my few regrets in my life

December 25 will be one year since my 12 year old passed away in my arms after she asked me to cuddle her for a nap. She had a heart attack during her sleep while in my arms. She was perfectly healthy but somehow she knew and asked me to cuddle her. Otherwise she wasn't a cuddler. I'm forever thankful to God for giving me the blessing of being with her at her last moments. I know she wasn't alone and left this world peacefully. It was just so hard as in her culture they are buried same day. From the moment she died until she was buried was 5 hours. It would've been sooner but I just didn't want to let go of her. The hospital took over 12 hours to get her moved from the initial room they took her in claiming they were moving people around since all the Covid patients are taking up all the rooms. Well by then she coded and we lost her. I can’t sleep the night just replays I ran into the hospital after I got the call went straight into the small room they had her in waiting and as soon as she saw me she said trey please help me (my family calls me trey) sad when your trying to tell her their trying to help her when they let her sit and suffer until she passed since they wouldn’t even give her anything for the pain because of her blood pressure. She had had a surgery for a totally different thing and was being seen by a doctor weekly and nurse who came to her home and she kept telling them something was wrong but they just don’t listen.

December 25 will be one year since my 12 year old passed away in my arms after she asked me to cuddle her for a nap. She had a heart attack during her sleep while in my arms. She was perfectly healthy but somehow she knew and asked me to cuddle her. Otherwise she wasn't a cuddler. I'm forever thankful to God for giving me the blessing of being with her at her last moments. I know she wasn't alone and left this world peacefully. It was just so hard as in her culture they are buried same day. From the moment she died until she was buried was 5 hours. It would've been sooner but I just didn't want to let go of her.

The hospital took over 12 hours to get her moved from the initial room they took her in claiming they were moving people around since all the Covid patients are taking up all the rooms. Well by then she coded and we lost her. I can’t sleep the night just replays I ran into the hospital after I got the call went straight into the small room they had her in waiting and as soon as she saw me she said trey please help me (my family calls me trey) sad when your trying to tell her their trying to help her when they let her sit and suffer until she passed since they wouldn’t even give her anything for the pain because of her blood pressure. She had had a surgery for a totally different thing and was being seen by a doctor weekly and nurse who came to her home and she kept telling them something was wrong but they just don’t listen.
