Question: do I have to mix both the strum pattern one after another or it is divided like - 1st stum pattern is for the verse and the 2nd one is for chorus. Because it's like that in the song, really confused.

I think 2nd pattern sounds better in this form:
D D UDD DUDU
1st pattern should be DDD UDUDD DU
2nd patter is correct
