I was at this competition in 84’, I competed for many years and owned my own dance studio at one time. Sadly some of these great dancers are no longer with us. RIP Ron and Chris.

Agreed. I'm convinced the glitz shiny sparkly crap on the outfits are left over relics from the #Disco Era. By the 2020's, we easily see Latin Ballroom Dancers "eyeing each other" more closely & intimately. Many of these 1984 Dancers appear to watch the audience crowd to see if they just saw (the move) this dancer did. I may further dance theorize that, since the Movie *"The* *Matrix"* _(with its revolutionary slo-mo bullet time effects)_ hadn't debuted yet, the 1984 Generation Dancers here haven't yet learned to "slow down" and enjoy/grip/hold/seize the intimate moment with their Superb Dance Partner. _Here in __#Hollywood__ there's a Club if you would like to go._

Paso Doble? You know Paso Doble? Sadly it's the costumes, since the film Strictly Ballroom came out it's hard to take it seriously. But I really came here to see Shirley Ballas , the head judge of BBC Strictly Come Dancing in 2023
