Big time kudos to Michael & Daniel, and great interview, Jon. :^) I agree that the smoothness of the transition reflects equally on both father and son and the hard work they've each put into this. The future is bright! In the meantime, I remain SO stoked and honored to be part of the MTD fam and be able to play such phenomenal instruments.
Michael made my Tobias Classic purple heart six string bass in 1991. I am truly greatful as He has provided sacrificial customer assistance to me for 30 years.
He made me a couple 5s a few years before that. They’re both great and Mike is amazing! Thanks for the comment, True ToLife.
I got to play an 80s Growler about 20 yrs ago, and loved the "Growl!"... Just got myself a Kingston AG6, AND THE GROWL PREVAILS! Absolute genius of those nuances that set the nice basses apart from the truly PHENOMENAL ones!
You bet! Great basses for sure. Thanks, dialect64!
I just got my first MTD, a Kingston Super 5, and it's AMAZING!!!!!!! I'm also seriously considering getting a Kingston AG6 too!!! Does it really sound as good as it does in the UA-cam videos?
Great interview! As far as I'm concerned, historic as it documents the future of MTD from both Mike and Daniel.
Very good Michael instruments.
So true!
Adorable father & son and fantastic instrument builders. MTD basses have brought great joy to my life and bolstered my musical pursuit. All the best wishes to the transition and fruitful future!
Fantastic interview! Love hearing from them and playing their instruments.
Great interview with Mike and good luck to Daniel!
Have you ever interviewed Fodera? That would be a great one for sure!
Good idea! Thanks, Zechariah.
Can Michael play?
No he Dosen’t even play which is the insane part
You would be hard-pressed to find two better human beings in the music products industry.
You didn't do any b-roll of what he was talking about. You should have let him get up and get what he was talking about.
