Today I’m going to share some great projector maintenance tips with you.

Projector Maintenance is very important and should be done on a regular basis. It doesn’t need to be done every day or every week but I do recommend it be done at least once a month. Maintaining your projector will increase your projectors life span and will ensure that your projector will perform at its highest capabilities. Well then let’s get to work!!
1. Change or clean out your air filter at least once a month.
a. If the filter is clogged the projector won’t be able to cool and can damage your projector
b. Tap filter on the table, show where filter goes in the projector
2. Wipe down the outside of the projector with a cloth to remove surface dust.
a. If your projector is hanging from the ceiling a lot of dust will accumulate on the top make sure to clean it off
3. Wipe the lens with a cloth to remove any dust that has accumulated
a. Be very careful when you do this and make sure your fingers do not touch the lens.
b. This will ensure you have a crisp image
4. With a compressed air can or cloth clean out the vents on the projector
5. Remove the lamp and clean out the lamp cavity with a compressed air can or cloth.
a. If your lamp cavity is very dusty you sometimes might get a burning smell coming from the projector. The lamp gets extremely hot and starts to burn the dust.
If you follow and perform these simple tips on a regular basis, I guarantee you will extend the life of your projector and lamp. A clean projector is a healthy projector 
