Extremely shocked to know the sad demise of Dr Rui.Till2005 no xmas passed without my visiting his house. Last few years somehow there was no touch with him and i just knew the sad demise of Dr Rui so late. My hearfelt condolences to Dr Armida Fernandez. Ravi Arekar

I was blessed to have Rui Sir as my teacher and guide. He inculcated in me the love of the subject and the fine nuances of clinical examination and the morphology of the lesions. I will never forget the way I learned to diagnose the conditions clinically. Besides, he was like a father figure even after I passed my exam and left the department. He encouraged, promoted, and corrected me for decades. I will forever be endebted to him, and like me, he'll live forever in the heart of countless others. Salutes Sir
