  • Metallica - And Justice For All - 1988
    Lead Guitar : Kirk Hammett
    Bass Guitar : Jason Newsted
Singer / Rhythm Guitarist : James Hetfield
    Drums : Lars Ulrich
    Halls of justice painted green
    Money talking
    Power wolves beset your door
    Hear them stalking
    Soon you'll please their appetite
    They devour
    Hammer of justice crushes you
    Overpower
    The ultimate in vanity
    Exploiting their supremacy
I can't believe the things you say
I can't believe, I can't believe the price you pay
    Nothing can save you
    Justice is lost
    Justice is raped
    Justice is gone
    Pulling your strings
    Justice is done
    Seeking no truth
    Winning is all
Find it so grim, so true, so real
    Apathy their stepping stone
    So unfeeling
    Hidden deep animosity
    So deceiving
Through your eyes their light burns
    Hoping to find
    Inquisition sinking you
    With prying minds
    The ultimate in vanity
    Exploiting their supremacy
I can't believe the things you say
I can't believe, I can't believe the price you pay
    Nothing can save you
    Justice is lost
    Justice is raped
    Justice is gone
    Pulling your strings
    Justice is done
    Seeking no truth
    Winning is all
Find it so grim, so true, so real
    Lady Justice has been raped
    Truth assassin
Rolls of red tape seal your lips
    Now you're done in
Their money tips her scales again
    Make your deal
Just what is truth, I cannot tell
    Cannot feel
    The ultimate in vanity
    Exploiting their supremacy
I can't believe the things you say
I can't believe, I can't believe the price we pay
    Nothing can save us
    Justice is lost
    Justice is raped
    Justice is gone
    Pulling your strings
    Justice is done
    Seeking no truth
    Winning is all
Find it so grim, so true, so real
    Seeking no truth
    Winning is all
Find it so grim, so true, so real

    1988-
find friend with driver's licence and car
    drive to mall
walk through mall to music store
find cassette, stand in line and pay
b-line back to car and enjoy!
    2019-

In my opinion,Jjustice is the best metallica album ever made... best text, best bass, and even the best guitarsolos ever writen by them... nearly the one and only album you need to know about metallica accept master of puppets. But the better one, once you leastend/heard it, you never forgot it. God bless the 80`s...

What a fucking hell of an song.. 28 years later, this album still blows your mind.. This WAS, IS, and will FOREVER be the best album in history of music..
Just think better about it. At the point when they were already the greatest metal band ever, when RTL and MOP just took metal to the next level.. and after the death of Cliff Burton, when James and Kirk wanted to quit, when everything is going downhill.. Just 2 FUCKING YEARS LATER we got.. And Justice For All, we got the album that goes beyond thrash metal(and music in general)
9 songs, 9 mothetfucking arts. How the hell did they wrote this?? They just moved music to the something unreal?? The songs, while being fast, heavy, and brutal, are also INSANELY intricatre, tehnical, complex, melodic, and lyrically perfect!! Just takes everything from progressive stuff like Pink Floyd, or the more melodic heavy metal type of stuff like in NWOBHM, and then make it sound intricate, brutal, make it to the another level. How many thrash bands are able to do that?? Absolutely no one!!
And Metallica never gave themselves too much credit about this album, because it's PERFECT what it is, they DON'T want to talk often about it, because they KNOW what they wrote. And why gave it too much credit then?? The BEST albums aren't always the most popular ones, everyone who knows Metallica knows Justice is a piece of magic..
If Slayer and Megadeth wrote record like this, they would just praising themselves and non-stop bitching, but thankfully, Kerry King is not able to write anythig than same generic satanic bullshit with instrumentally atrocius composing and terrible screaming by Tom...
People are usually saying Rust In Peace is the greatest album ever, but Mustaine would never been able to write anything close to Justice, because he was never as creative as Metallica is...
Just like any other band would be praising themselves if they released anything like this.
And the tour was fucking unreal too.
Not many guitarists or drummers can play songs from Justice.
And the vocals are just perfect example how any thrash vocalist should sound.
    More than just a music.

I think the average modern metalhead has listened and liked pop music once, but then they hear some metal, liked it and listened to the best songs of one artist and then bought an album from this artist because they like to explore, and then when they have listened to and loved that album loads, they buy another one, then when you have all their albums you start buying other artists work and liking them.

I am using monitoring headphone's and Newsted's bass is dead. It's not in the mix. My friend was just telling me the story of how Metallica hazed him and I'd never heard this album (or much Metallica at all, really).
I agree. They muted the bassline completely and just lied when they said they turned it down. There is no bass guitar.
I think the guitars are boosted at about 100-200hz to sound like a bass guitar in the low end and disguise the fact that there isn't one.
    Lame.

    • @rustykuntz94
      @rustykuntz94 8 років тому +4

Yep, its ridiculous how a heavy metal album is completely devoid of bass. Funny thing is this is still a very good album. Yes the guitars & drums are pumped way up but there's no denying this record sorely lacks bass. There is a fan made youtube vid out there called "and justice for Jason" where they put the bass into the album & it is a very interesting listen. Its not a professional mix though so it still lacks a cohesive overrall sound.

    • @pwm_pachie6664
      @pwm_pachie6664 8 років тому +8

sorry for your ears then. you a bassist? the bass is definitely there. they just mixed it a specific way, so that the bass does not stick its head up above the water level very often.
please don't be one of the fools who runs around claiming there is no bass. u just don't know what u are listening for...
metallica always try to get different sounds from album to album.
check out sheet music for bass and guitars for the album, learn to play a bass and read music, play alone with the album then u can learn to hear for the bass.

    • @ElectronHVChannel

    • @LuchoCastle_11
      @LuchoCastle_11 7 років тому +2

The bass is very clear on To Live is To Die, that's the only song on this album that sounds just like the bass on the previous albums.
Also, as the guy before me said, The Frayed Ends of Sanity is perhaps one of the hardest Metallica songs, not only on bass, also on guitars and drums, and even vocals.
