People gotta remember that he's playing Trump in the 70s & 80s, NOT the Donald we know now. He sounded very subdued back then; (just look up his interview with Oprah for more context)

Ali Abbasi has masterfully done it in this movie , he has placed a mirror in front of the audience, maybe you don’t like what you see but the solution is not to break the mirror. I watched Reagan on release day, I loved it. I am also a history buff. I want to watch The Apprentice soon.
The movie is great. It’s funny, dark, and very entertaining.
I saw it. I liked it for the most part but they did go overboard with the eye-rolling supervillain origin story stuff. It gets in the way of the mostly good story they’re trying to tell.
Before the movie starts, so many production companies were shown and I was like, “it’s the joke!”
